John Travolta to Star in Orca Survival Thriller BLACK TIDES For Director Renny Harlin — GeekTyrant
Travolta will take on the lead role of Bill Pierce, an estranged father whose attempt to reconnect with his daughter and grandson turns into a harrowing battle for survival when their boat is attacked by rogue orcas off the southern coast of Spain.
The film, which is due to shoot at the end of the summer, will be 'shot old-school, with in-camera effects and real water work'. The Solution Entertainment Group is handling worldwide sales excluding Spain at the Cannes market.
Renny Harlin said of working with Travolta:

The 30-year-old spent the first five years of his career, all with the Buccaneers, as a starter before transitioning to the veteran backup role. It's possible there could be trade interest in Winston should the Giants opt to open the season with Dart as Wilson's backup.

Cardi B claims that she and fellow Love & Hip Hop alum Rah Ali recently got into a heated exchange at the airport in Cannes, France, with Rah saying things didn't go down exactly as the Bronx rapper described. The 'Outside' artist shared the story during an X Spaces session late Thursday (July 31), where she described running into Ali and knowing she would have to get her lick back for their altercation during the 2018 Harper's BAZAAR ICONS Party, which Ali attended with friend, Nicki Minaj. 'I know that I'm grown and that I shouldn't have that mentality, but let's be f**king for real,' Cardi explained, saying Ali would've publicly deemed her a coward if she said nothing, going on to describe the night the former reality star allegedly hit her while she was held back by Minaj's security. 'Your friend's security and you attacked me…the security grabbed me and you attacked me, and if you thought I was gonna let that sh*t fly, you outta your f**king mind.'
