The Royals overcame Galway this afternoon, finishing up 2-16 to 2-15 winners after a thrilling second half. Morris starred with 1-6 from play in a Man of the Match display.
'Emotions are fairly high at the minute,' Morris told RTÉ afterwards.

The Kingscourt Stars forward kicked a handful of wides early on, but persisted and was sensational down the stretch as momentum swung to and fro. Meath eventually prevailed, knocking 2022 and 2024 All-Ireland finalists Galway out of the Race for Sam.
'It's something we've been working on, trying to control a game in the second half a bit,' Morris continued. 'Galway got a bit of run on us and we clawed it back. It just shows good fighting spirit with the young lads here.'
'We're relishing every week we get to train together, play together, so it's another week under the belt now to hopefully push on.'
'Up the Royal,' he roared to conclude an emotionally-charged interview.

Ciarán Caulfield, meanwhile, was slightly more measured amidst the post-match euphoria.
'It's nice to come back up here now after the last day, and put in a great performance,' the flying half-back said, referencing the Leinster final defeat to Louth.
'We've been building nicely, we came in today with a lot of belief. Just so happy to produce out there in Croke Park.'
When Morris' comment about few people giving Meath a chance was put to Caulfield, and he was asked if it was something the group spoke about, the 21-year-old added:

'Not between us anyway. Maybe outside noise. Galway were obviously heavy favourites, they've been very successful in All-Ireland runs the last few years. We probably haven't, but we just thought it was our time to push on and push this team into the next level.'
After huge championship wins over Dublin, Kerry and now Galway, Meath make the last four for the first time in 16 years. They'll learn their opponents in the draw after Armagh-Kerry.

Ger Brennan's Louth exit stuns former manager of Wee County
Former Louth manager Colin Kelly was stunned by the resignation of Ger Brennan at the Wee County hotseat after guiding them to a first Leinster championship in 68 years. Kelly managed the Louth senior footballers between 2014 and 2017, guiding them to successive league promotions to Division 2. Speaking to RTÉ, Kelly said: "I suppose overall, it's shock really. It happened so suddenly. "It went out on social media [on Tuesday] afternoon. All of a sudden now, you're in a situation where you've no manager, and I suppose it's deja vu really because we've been through this with Mickey Harte [leaving] a couple of years ago. "So it's probably shock when you think of Leinster champions and a couple of weeks later now, you're looking for a new manager." Brennan is now seen by some as the heir presumptive to the Dublin throne after Dessie Farrell's resignation, but Kelly doesn't believe that the vacancy at Brennan's home county had any affect on his decision. "I don't really think that the Dublin manager's job would have a part to play in it," he said. "From our point of view, we probably wouldn't have been expecting it so the process starts now to look for someone new." For Louth, the process starts now for the Leinster champions to appoint a new figure at the helm, whether they promote a coach in the Wee County's youth setup or look outward remains to be seen. Kelly said: "Fergal Reel has done a hell of a job with the U20s, got to a first All-Ireland final, the minor management team have played in a Leinster final and Gavin Devlin is now working within the county. "Tony McEntee, Oisin McConville, there's a lot of guys out there now in close proximity to the Louth team and who knows at this stage. It's early days." Jimmy Keane will manage the newly formed North Kerry team in this year's county SFC
Keane has managed Kerry to three All-Ireland Junior Championship titles, his native Brosna to an All-Ireland Club Championship win, and spent four years as manager of the St Kierans divisional team Kerryman Jimmy Keane – an All-Ireland winning manager with club and county – will manage the newly formed North Kerry team in this year's county senior football championship. Brosna native Keane has been appointed the first manager of the new North Kerry team, which is an amalgamation of Feale Rangers and Shannon Rangers, and which will compete in this year's county SFC which is scheduled to begin in mid-September.
