Known for her powerful roles on-screen, Fatima Sana Shaikh has often played characters who display grit and strength. But in real life, the actress has been quietly fighting a battle that few knew about—epilepsy. As she gears up for her upcoming releases, Metro In Dino opposite Ali Fazal and Aap Jaisa Koi with R. Madhavan, Fatima is finally shedding light on the health challenge that nearly turned her life upside down. In a deeply personal conversation with Humans of Bombay, the actress opened up about one of the most terrifying moments of her life—a major seizure attack mid-air on a flight to the U.S.
Fatima revealed that while travelling to the USA via Dubai, she experienced multiple seizures on the plane. She was rushed to the airport hospital immediately upon landing, but the situation kept worsening. Despite being given medication, her seizures wouldn't stop. Doctors were forced to administer a heavy dose of another drug, but instead of offering relief, it triggered further complications. Fatima explained that in epilepsy treatment, medication changes need to be done gradually. 'You have to wean off one before starting another,' she said, pointing out how the sudden switch had a devastating effect on her body and mind.
The aftermath was brutal. Fatima was left sedated, unable to function, and emotionally drained. The episode derailed not just her health but also her professional life. She had to walk away from two major film projects—Meghna Gulzar's Sam Bahadur and Dhak Dhak. 'I had to cancel shoot,' she recalled. When a producer called to check on her availability, she broke down in tears, struggling to even get out of bed.The experience became a major turning point in Fatima's life. She came to terms with her diagnosis and began speaking about it more openly, hoping to break the stigma around neurological disorders like epilepsy. Fatima's Sana Shaikh's latest saree look is basically a love letter to Bollywood fashion
Fatima Sana Shaikh is out and about promoting her upcoming film Aap Jaisa Koi (hitting theatres July 11), and if there's one thing she's proving, it's that no one wears a saree quite like her. Tired of too many ads? go ad free now Timeless, elegant, and effortlessly chic, Fatima is giving us major retro-Bollywood vibes with her latest look, and honestly, we're obsessed. Styled by Namrata Deepak, Fatima showed up at the trailer launch in a stunning gulkand pink satin silk saree from Raw Mango, and it was nothing short of dreamy. The colour? Absolutely radiant. The fabric? Pure luxury. And the detailing? Spot-on. With delicate floral zardozi embroidery and mogra-inspired motifs lining the palla like a dainty toran, the saree screamed elegance with a side of desi drama – perfect for wedding season or your next fancy dinner invite. She paired the drape with a sleek sleeveless blouse in the same delicious pink hue, keeping things refined but flirty. It's the kind of saree that doesn't shout, but subtly demands attention with its rich texture and shine. And when Fatima twirled in it? Chef's kiss. Of course, no desi glam look is complete without a little sparkle. She amped up the glam with statement earrings and rings from Amrapali and Tribe by Amrapali, just the right touch of bling to balance that understated saree glow. Her makeup was soft and fresh – think dewy base, muted tones, and that subtle shimmer on the eyes that catches the light just right. And don't get us started on the hair. Fatima's long, cascading tresses are basically a love letter to vintage Bollywood. The saree + long hair combo? A match made in glam heaven. She even dropped some gorgeous stills of the look on Instagram, and we couldn't double-tap fast enough. Fatima's love for sarees isn't new. From her retro Pero look in Metro In Dino opposite Ali Fazal to this pink perfection, she's been quietly building a solid saree game. Whether it's a bold colour or a delicate embroidery moment, she knows how to make six yards look like pure magic. Long story short? Fatima Sana Shaikh isn't just an actor to watch, she's fast becoming a saree style icon, one dreamy drape at a time.

Ram Kapoor recalls financial struggles in his early acting days; says, 'Lived off Gautami's income for some time after the marriage'
Actor Ram Kapoor is all over the news for a number of reasons. From his drastic weight loss transformation to making headlines for 'inappropriate statements,' buying a Lamborghini Urus, and more, the actor has kept fans hooked with his latest updates. Ram recently gave an interview to Humans Of Bombay, where he opened up about his acting journey, financial struggles in his early acting days, and more. He revealed how he used to earn Rs 1,500 and lived off wife Gautami's income for a while after marriage. Ram mentioned how an actor's life is very unpredictable and either they could be earning great or be struggling financially, and it could be a dog's life. He further revealed how actors like Ronit Roy , Sakshi Tanwar, and more have earned a lot in their acting careers and have made the right financial decisions. He shared, 'When you make it to the top like Ronit Roy, Sakshi, and me, and you are sensible, then you have made enough for your three to four generations. I know Ronit and Sakshi have done this, and they are set for four generations. For 15 to 20 years, I made a salary cheque of a ridiculously high amount. If you are sensible with your investments, you are set. Television is a dog's life; if you make it, then it's fine. I started with Rs 1,500 a month and lived off Gautami's income for some time after the marriage. ' He even revealed how successful actors like Ronit Roy have many houses and properties. Moreover, he mentioned actress Sakshi Tanwar has made enough money for generations. He praised them for making the right financial decisions and investments in their life. Ram Kapoor shared, 'People like Ronit… he has a lot of houses, vacation homes, and such a fantastic villa in Goa. He has been sensible because he started in films, and he didn't make it in films. He was a flop actor in films, and he didn't have the money to eat. Then Ektaa Kapoor took him on. In television, he never looked back. He had seen failure, so when he got success, he respected it from day one. Same for Sakshi. She is a very sensible girl. She doesn't like fancy cars like I do. She has enough money for six generations because she spends it very wisely. If you spend money wisely, then you will have money for a lot of things on television.'
