Ben Affleck emerges after ex Jennifer Lopez released her heartbreak song Wreckage of You about their divorce

Daily Mail4 hours ago
Just a few days after his ex Jennifer Lopez dropped a new song about their tumultuous relationship, Ben Affleck was spotted out for the first time.
Lopez debuted a new song called Wreckage of You during an exclusive listening party for 30 lucky fans in Los Angeles last week.
The 55-year-old singer played six new tracks - five upbeat tracks dubbed Up All Night, Regular, Free, Save Me Tonight and Birthday - and a ballad dubbed Wreckage of You, which reports reveal the latter was about the aftermath of her second marriage to Affleck.
While Affleck has yet to publicly respond in regards to the new song, he was spotted having dinner with a friend at the West Hollywood hotspot Steak 48 on Monday.
The actor was spotted with a friend at the establishment, where they dined for over two hours.
He was seen wearing a white button-up dress shirt, dark blue jeans and brown boots for the dinner outing, while carrying a jacket.
During the exclusive fan event last week, Lopez revealed that she co-wrote and recorded the song two weeks ago, via US Weekly.
One fan in attendance - Edgardo Luis Rivera - revealed, 'She said she was lying in bed after a long day of tour rehearsals when the idea of the song came to her.'
'She mentioned how last year was a very difficult time for her both personally and professionally. She had to cancel her tour and really focus on herself,' the fan added.
'Fast-forward to one year later, and she feels better and stronger than ever, so she wanted to write a song about coming out of a bad situation much stronger,' he said.
He said that she, 'kept thinking of the word "wreck" because it means destruction, but she wasn't destroyed,' adding one of the songs lyrics are, 'I'm stronger after the wreckage of you.'
Another unnamed fan in attendance added Wreckage of You was a, 'very emotional, empowering song about walking away from a relationship and coming out a stronger person.'
The exes are still trying to sell their $60 million marital home that they bought in May 2023, nearly a year after tying the knot for a second time.
They separated for a second time in April 2024, with Lopez filing for divorce in August 2024.
The exes are still trying to sell their $60 million marital home that they bought in May 2023, nearly a year after tying the knot for a second time.
While the divorce was finalized this February, they have still failed to sell the home, which they initially listed for $68 million in July 2024.
They dropped the price to their break-even point at $60 million after failing to find a buyer, but the home was recently taken off the market entirely.
An i nsider exclusively told the Daily Mail, 'Ben and JLo slashed the price on their Beverly Hills mansion for $8 million less than they paid for it, but this is nothing to Ben.'
'He really just wants this to be sold so that he can cut the final cord that keeps him and Jennifer intertwined,' it was added.

Shiloh Jolie is the spitting image of her mother Angelina on playful outing with rumored love interest

and Brad Pitt 's nepo baby Shiloh Nouvel Jolie looked the spitting image of her famous mother while heading to a dance studio in LA with her rumored girlfriend Keoni Rose. The 19-year-old dancer-choreographer - who hauled a jug of water - covered up in a red hoodie and black wide-leg pants while the Movement Talent Agency-repped dancer opted for a grey sweatshirt and pink Hello Kitty sweats. Shi was all smiles as she met up with a few gal pals at a local eatery. Jolie and Keoni were first photographed May 26 shopping together at Isabel Marant - two days after she choreographed a 'sometimes steamy number' for Rose and Tako Suzuki at the LA launch of the French designer's capsule collection with Net-A-Porter. The Namibian-born teenager and the flame-haired hoofer were then spotted getting lunch at an LA sushi restaurant on July 1, and the coy couple stopped by Fonuts Donut Bakery in Studio City on July 4.

Jurassic World Rebirth smashes predictions at box office

Jurassic World Rebirth has outperformed expectations at the box office in its opening week, with the latest instalment of the dinosaur franchise recording over $318m in revenue worldwide after initial projections suggested it might make $260m. The film opened over the Fourth of July holiday weekend in North America, releasing into US cinemas on Wednesday 2 July – a standard tactic to help boost opening-weekend figures. The film grossed more than $147m (£108m) over five days (Wednesday to Sunday) in the US and Canada, and recorded $171m (£126m) in the rest of the world. The results are significantly better that what had been predicted: studio Universal had estimated it would score around $100m-$120m in North America, and just over twice that overseas. With an entirely new cast, led by Scarlett Johansson, Mahershala Ali and Jonathan Bailey, producers were not overly optimistic of its chances, given that Independence Day is not a traditional moviegoing holiday. Critical reaction has been mixed, with the Guardian's Peter Bradshaw being particularly enthusiastic with a four star rating, saying: 'It feels relaxed and sure-footed in its Spielberg pastiche, its big dino-jeopardy moments and its deployment of thrills and laughs'. The film's chances of profitability are also helped by the (relatively) restricted production budget, reported at $180m compared to the $845m spent on its two predecessors, Fallen Kingdom and Dominion. However, analysis shows that the film's figures fall somewhat short of previous Jurassic World films. Rebirth earned $91.5m over the actual weekend (Friday to Sunday), considerably less than Fallen Kingdom ($148m) and Dominion ($145m) over their equivalent periods, while the first franchise reboot Jurassic World took $208m in 2015.
