Oberdorf won't be included in Germany squad for women's Euro 2025

Bayern Munich midfielder Lena Oberdorf won't be included in the Germany squad for the women's Euro 2025 in Switzerland this summer, the German Football Federation (DFB) said on Wednesday.
The player ruptured the cruciate ligament in her knee in July last year.

"She is on a good path, but the Euros are too early for her," coach Christian Wück said in a DFB statement.
"We want to give her time to prepare fully and look forward to seeing her again in the new season," he added.
Wück will name his squad for the tournament on June 12.
The midfielder hasn't played a single match since her injury. However, she was included the Germany squad for the Nations League matches against the Netherlands last Friday and against Austria on Tuesday, and trained with the national team.
It was important "that we have Obi here with us again so that we can fully assess her performance," Wück explained.
The DFB officials had previously agreed with Bayern that Oberdorf would not play in the Nations League matches.

James set to return for England against Jamaica
Chelsea forward Lauren James is available to play against Jamaica in a boost to England's Euro 2025 preparations - her first match since April after recovering from a hamstring injury. The 23-year-old has not featured for club or country in three months so is expected to come on as a substitute in England's final friendly on Sunday at 17:00 BST. She's doing really well, but of course she hasn't played games yet. But she's in a good place," said Wiegman when asked if James could feature at the King Power Stadium. "Her performance has been really good. She's ready; we're just still growing into minutes. This is the first time in a while that she's coming into a game. Olympique Marseille renew interest in Bayern Munich's Sacha Boey
Foot Mercato reports that Olympique Marseille have renewed their interest in Bayern Munich right back Sacha Boey. The Bundesliga record champions remain open to a sale, as directly admitted by FCB chief personnel officer Max Eberl in an interview some weeks back. The 24-year-old maintains an €18m estimated market value. Boey joined Bayern from Galatasaray during the January 2024 transfer window for a reported sum of €30m. Injuries have nevertheless precluded the former French youth international from featuring much. Boey has made just 15 Bundesliga appearances for the Bavarians in the last 18 months. He's garnered just one league and one Champions League assist.
