Askou insists Motherwell won't rush Miller transfer exit
'I know and I understand and we appreciate all the interest there is around Lennon, and his future, and Motherwell as a football club.
'But I think for us right now it's time to say, let's look at it when something specific and concrete comes up, and when we're ready to inform.
'That's the last thing I will say now in terms of commenting on Lennon. And in general, when we have interesting players that might take the next step, we're not looking for fast and quick solutions. We're looking for the right solutions for the players and for the club long-term.
'Sometimes things move fast, sometimes it takes a little bit longer. That's not always up to us to decide or to control."
The transfer saga that has been brewing since Christmas looks set to end before the end of the summer window. The 18-year-old who captained his Motherwell side, earned two Scotland caps and was crowned young player of the year last season has long been linked with a variety of destinations.
Earlier in the summer, it looked likely that Parkhead might be the destination in what appeared to be a possible repeat of Motherwell's transfer record for David Turnbull in 2020.

Miller looks set to break that record as the Lanarkshire side are looking for fees eclipsing £4million. However, the longer the summer transfer window goes on, the less likely Glasgow will be his next stop.
With Italian clubs taking more notice of the Scottish league after the success of Scott McTominay, Billy Gilmour and Lewis Ferguson, Miller could be the next in line for an 'Italian Job'.

In an interview with BBC Sportsound, Miller's father Lee, the former Aberdeen forward, said: 'I think there will be a bid that comes in, if not this week maybe next week'.
On the potential European move he said 'Yeah, potentially… You look at Billy Gilmour, Lewis Ferguson, (Scott) McTominay doing their thing abroad. They are in Italy and Max Johnston has done really well as well (in Austria with Sturm Graz).'

Even if that means getting a quick workout in in the wee hours when most of his peers are sleeping. "Cristiano was an incredible professional, obsessed with work," said the World Cup -winner in an interview with Italian daily Tuttosport. "One night we returned to Continassa at 2am after a league match to retrieve our cars. "We were exhausted, but he still persuaded [former Juventus defender Mehdi] Benatia to accompany him to the gym for some recovery work. I thought he was crazy [laughs]. Ronaldo was like that, he never stopped. That's the secret of his success and why he still manages to make a difference today." It perhaps shouldn't come as a surprise that one as successful as Ronaldo is of the opinion sleep is for the weak. After all, one doesn't get a physique like his at 40 years of age without putting in the work at times when others would rather rest. Former Manchester United colleague Patrice Evra was also taken aback to see the lengths 'CR7' will go to in order to ensure he remains ahead of the competition. "I would give advice to anybody, when Cristiano invites you for lunch at his house, just say no," he said on the ITV World Cup podcast. "He once said, 'Patrice, come over after training.' I went, you know I was really tired, [and] at the table there was only salad and plain white chicken so I was like, okay, and water, not any juice. "We started eating and I was thinking some big meat would be coming after that but there was nothing. He just finished and he stood up and he started playing with a ball, doing some skills and he said, 'Let's do some two-touch.' I was like, can I just finish eating? "He said 'No, no let's play two-touch.' We start playing two touch. After that he said let's go to the pool to swim, I was like okay… after going in the jacuzzi, the sauna, I'm done. I say, 'Cristiano, why have we come here? Have we come here because we have a game tomorrow, or just for lunch?'" It gives some insight as to what one can expect to undertake if they want to reach the top of the game. Unsurprisingly, not everyone is cut out to go to those lengths.

Modric completes AC Milan move on one-year deal
Luka Modric has completed a move to AC Milan on a free transfer after 13 successful years at Real Madrid. The 39-year-old midfielder has signed a contract until June 2026, with the Italian side having the option to trigger a one-year extension.
