Syrian media reported Wednesday that two explosions occurred in the towns of Jibreen in Hama countryside and near the town of Al-Foua in northern Idlib, resulting in several casualties.
According to Syria's state-run news agency SANA, the explosion in Hama was caused by a fuel tanker catching fire, leading to the deaths of several civilians and injuring others. Civil defense and ambulance teams were dispatched to the site.
A correspondent from Al-Ikhbariya TV stated that at least seven people were killed and several others injured in an initial casualty toll from the explosion.
In Idlib, SANA reported that a series of explosions of unknown origin took place near Al-Foua, north of Idlib.
Meanwhile, other Syrian outlets attributed the blasts to a fire that broke out in an ammunition depot between the towns of Kafriya and Al-Foua in northern Idlib countryside.
