League of Legends patch 25.13 notes: Fiddlesticks, Vi, Ryze, and more get power changes ahead of MSI 2025

Time of India17-06-2025
The League of Legends patch 25.13 is almost here, and with it comes a set of changes aimed at keeping the game balanced for both solo queue and pro play. The developer of the title, Riot Games, has only made a few adjustments this time, which makes sense since the current meta is already stable. These changes will be applied before the Mid-Season Invitational (MSI) 2025 begins.
Game designer Matt Leung-Harrison, known as RiotPhroxzon, revealed the patch preview on X (formerly Twitter) on June 17, 2025. He shared the full list of champions getting buffs and nerfs in patch 25.13.
Patch 25.13 Preview! This is the MSI patch! Pretty short list, we're mostly happy with where the meta is at, given that a bunch of champions are pretty ceilinged on SoloQ power and we're seeing a pretty good amount of diversity. Mundo- Mundo has picked up a ton of… pic.twitter.com/fbDfqbFpXV
Champion buffs in League of Legends patch 25.13
Only a handful of champions are getting buffed in this patch. Each one is being looked at for different reasons—some to make them more viable in pro play, others to bring them back into solo queue rotations.
Fiddlesticks – Expected to get more power in jungle clear or teamfights
Gangplank – Buffed to help him deal better with current top lane threats like Jax
Irelia – Possibly smoother scaling or stronger all-ins
Kindred – More help in jungle matchups or early pressure
Nidalee – She's currently underperforming, so jungle buffs are coming
Rammus – Likely receiving better durability or utility boosts
Champion nerfs in League of Legends Patch 25.13
A few champions are performing too well, either in pro games or high-elo solo queue, and will be toned down in this patch.
Ryze – He's been very strong, especially after others around him were nerfed
Twisted Fate – Has become too powerful with recent item builds like Luden's and Rocketbelt
Vi – Strong ganks and reliability have made her too consistent
Yorick – Likely nerfed due to solo lane dominance
RiotPhroxzon commented on Ryze, saying, "Ryze is looking a bit too unassailable on current tuning, especially after we nerfed a lot of his competition in 25.12. We're not looking for a major nerf here, just a small tap down."
What to expect at MSI 2025?
Since patch 25.13 will be used during MSI 2025, the goal is to make sure no champion completely dominates. That's why we're seeing light touches rather than a full meta shake-up. Twisted Fate is one example. After his patch 25.12 buffs, he's been dominating the solo queue with burst-heavy items. These nerfs should bring him back in line.
Expect more details soon when the full patch notes drop. For now, these are the early updates for LoL patch 25.13.

Relief For Sonu Nigam As Bombay HC Stops Bihar Lawyer From Posting Under His Name On X

Last Updated: The Bombay High Court issued a restraining order against a Bihar lawyer impersonating singer Sonu Nigam on X, posting sensitive content and causing backlash against the singer. In a significant relief for singer Sonu Nigam, the Bombay High Court has issued a restraining order against a social media user accused of impersonating him on X (formerly Twitter). The user, a lawyer from Bihar, has been running an X handle under the name Sonu Nigam, which has been creating confusion among fans and in the media. Sonu Nigam, as per a Bar And Bench report, had moved the court alleging that his personality rights were being infringed upon by an X user named Sonu Nigam Singh, a criminal lawyer from Bihar. The user has been posting politically and communally sensitive content under the X handle 'Sonu Nigam'. The singer approached the court after facing backlash over posts actually made by Singh, which many wrongly attributed to him. Nigam's lawyer, Hiren Kamod, argued that Singh deliberately concealed his identity while posting on sensitive issues, misleading the public. Kamod presented 14 examples of communal posts made from the handle and pointed out that Singh had amassed over 90,000 followers, including public figures, by exploiting Nigam's name. One such post targeted BJP MP Tejasvi Surya, which stated, 'Don't dub Kannada movies in Hindi! Don't release Kannada movies pan-India! Do you have the guts to say this to Kannada film stars, Mr. @TejasviSurya, or are you just another language warrior?" Among these followers are notable public figures, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi and former minister Smriti Irani. Kamod pointed out that this misrepresentation has resulted in continuous online abuse aimed at the singer and his family. 'Because of Sonu Nigam Singh replying to the posts… Look at the hate Sonu Nigam is getting. Absolute chaos, My Lord. This is what the plaintiff is facing every day since August 2024," he told the court. It's worth noting that Sonu Nigam himself had quit X back in 2017. The National Award-winning singer is only on Instagram, where he posts about his work, daily life and opinions on life. Disclaimer: Comments reflect users' views, not News18's. S.S. Rajamouli Makes Japanese Gaming Debut With Cameo In Hideo Kojima's Death Stranding 2: On The Beach

New Delhi: Renowned Indian filmmaker S.S. Rajamouli, best known for his epic cinematic spectacles Baahubali and RRR, is now stepping into an entirely new frontier — video games. The celebrated director has revealed that he will make a cameo appearance in one of the most anticipated Japanese games, Death Stranding 2: On the Beach, helmed by legendary game creator Hideo Kojima. Rajamouli's involvement in the game was confirmed after Kojima posted on social media about scanning the director during his visit to Japan. The two creatives met while Rajamouli was promoting RRR in Japan, a film that saw massive success both in India and abroad, including a strong reception in Japan with physical media releases on Ultra HD Blu-ray and Blu-ray. Sharing his experience, Rajamouli said, 'When we were in Japan for RRR promotions, I visited Kojima-san's office. He scanned me there, and honestly, I had no idea how or where he'd use it. 'To now see myself featured in Death Stranding 2 is a true honour. Kojima-san is a visionary, and I'm humbled to be even a small part of his extraordinary world,' he added. Sonu Nigam wins legal relief as HC blocks fake posts by Bihar lawyer under his name on X

Sonu Nigam secured a court order against a Bihar lawyer. The lawyer impersonated Nigam on X. He posted controversial content. This caused confusion and backlash for the singer. The court directed the impersonator to display his full name. Advocate Hiren Kamod presented evidence of the impersonation. He highlighted the online abuse faced by Nigam. Sonu Nigam has finally found legal relief after months of online chaos caused by a case of digital impersonation. The Bombay High Court has stepped in to stop a Bihar-based lawyer from misusing the singer's identity on X (formerly Twitter), where the impersonator had been posting politically charged and communally sensitive content under Nigam's name. According to a report by Bar and Bench, Sonu Nigam approached the Bombay High Court alleging a violation of his personality rights by a Bihar-based criminal lawyer named Sonu Nigam Singh. The lawyer had been posting politically and communally sensitive content on X using the handle 'Sonu Nigam', leading to widespread confusion. The singer faced backlash for posts he had no connection to, prompting him to seek legal intervention. On Friday, Justice RI Chagla of the Bombay High Court granted an ex-parte interim order in favour of Sonu Nigam, as per Bar and Bench. The court directed the impersonating user, Sonu Nigam Singh, to clearly display his full name on X to prevent any further misrepresentation. He argued that the misleading posts had triggered a wave of online abuse directed at Sonu Nigam and his family. Highlighting the severity of the issue, Kamod told the court that the singer has been facing relentless hate and confusion since August 2024 due to the impersonator's activity. Notably, Sonu Nigam had officially quit X (formerly Twitter) back in 2017.
