Arvin Tolentino is taking his talents to Korea.
After his contract with PBA's NorthPort expired last April 30, Tolentino signed with the Seoul SK Knights in the Korean Basketball League.
Seoul announced the development on Friday.
Tolentino is two-time PBA champion with Barangay Ginebra before he was sent to NorthPort where he led the Batang Pier to the semis last conference. He was named Best Player of the Conference in the last PBA Commissioner's Cup as he logged averages of 23.5 points, 3.5 rebounds, and 7.8 assists per game.
Javi Gomez de Liaño, meanwhile, announced on Thursday that he has re-signed with the Anyang JKJ Red Boosters.
Ulsan Hyundai Mobis Phoebus also confirmed that former De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde standout Migs Oczon has also been re-signed by the team.

San Miguel's bounce back win vs TNT 'all about playing together,' says Mo

PBA Philippine Cup. July 16, 2025. Mo Tautuaa of the San Miguel Beermen against the TNT Tropang 5G in Game 2 of the Finals. (Photo: PBA Media) Mo Tautuaa and the San Miguel Beermen easily moved forward after their frustrating loss in the PBA Philippine Cup finals opener against TNT last Sunday. In Game 2 on Wednesday, the Beermen took down the Tropang 5G, 98-92, and for Tautuaa, who in Game 1 made the dunk that was deemed as an offensive interference violation afterwards, it was all about playing together. "I think that's the first time anyone has lost a game like that where points get taken away. That's definitely something that I've never seen that ever in my life. It's cool in that sense, I guess, such that we had to lose that way," Tautuaa said about the Game 1 loss. "But I mean, today it was all about us playing together. I feel like we played together well today and we weren't down in the hole early. We weren't down in the hole early and we just caught and started to throw it to the end." Mo Tautuaa talks about bouncing back after what happened in Game 1 of the Finals @gmasportsph — JK Carandang (@jk_carandang) July 16, 2025 Tautuaa said the team just put aside what happened in Game 1 and just made sure to bounce back to even the series. "We kind of tried to put that to the side because there's nothing we can do about that anymore at this point. All we're doing now is just making sure we go out and play our game. When we play our brand of basketball, we do well. It feels good," said Tautuaa. San Miguel head coach Leo Austria also said this about the frustrating loss. "We'd been in this adversity (Game 1 loss) and we know what to do," Austria said. "Plus the support of management, especially Coach Al [Chua], he was there during practice to motivate us and it's a good support from the management. Manny Pacquiao has first half of the fight to win vs Barrios, says veteran analyst

If Manny Pacquiao wants to become a world champion again at 46 years old, he has to do it in a hurry inside the ring, according to veteran boxing analyst Atty Ed Tolentino. A veteran of 72 fights and the only eight-division champion in boxing history, Pacquiao is slated to end his four-year hiatus when he takes on the WBC world welterweight champion Mario Barrios on July 18 at MGM Grand in Las Vegas. Though an underdog, Tolentino says Pacquiao has a shot at reclaiming boxing glory. 'Manny Pacquiao is a live underdog. He has to start early; he would be at his best in the first half of the fight. Remember Keith Thurman? He started early, scored a knockdown, but in the second half, he showed his age,' Tolentino said in an interview on Sparring Sessions LIVE. 'In the second half, when his age shows, that would give Barrios confidence, so show up right away early. Try to get a hot start. He has a good shot, especially if he starts early.' Many have expressed their concern about Pacquiao's ring return, citing how the Filipino ring icon is up there in age. Despite Barrios being 16 years younger, Tolentino predicts that the former would not be careless in the early going. 'I do not think Barrios will try to ambush, although I see Barrios testing the body of Pacquiao because he knows he is rusty and may test the body,' Tolentino said. —JKC, GMA Integrated News

PBA: Youthful Rain or Shine reloads with addition of veteran Stanley Pringle

Rain or Shine has injected a veteran guard into its youthful core, signing Stanley Pringle as the Elasto Painters look to break their title slump come next PBA Season 50. Rain or Shine announced Pringle's arrival on Tuesday with the former top overall pick and four-time PBA champion inking a two-year deal with the franchise. The 38-year-old guard previously suited up for Terrafirma following a five-year stint with Barangay Ginebra. Pringle now joins a youth-laden Rain or Shine bannered by Adrian Nocum, Gian Mamuyac, Anton Asistio, Andrei Caracut, Keith Datu, and Santi Santillan, who all played crucial roles in Rain or Shine's fourth semifinals appearance in a row. Rain or Shine's most recent semis stint saw them falling to perennial tormentor TNT during their Season 49 Philippine Cup playoffs duel, where the Elasto Painters bowed out of contention following a Game 6 loss. —JMB, GMA Integrated News
