'Impossible' Einstein brainteaser that can only be solved by 2% of people
For those who relish a mental workout, nothing quite compares to the thrill of cracking a good riddle. While most people think solving brainteasers and puzzles is nothing but a boredom buster, research has shown they can actually have a positive impact on your central nervous system. In turn, this can improve your concentration levels and better your attention span.
Think of it as like you're taking your brain to the gym and giving it a good work out. However, this brainteaser is much more challenging than most, and is believed to have been crafted by none other than Albert Einstein himself.
Of course, there's no concrete evidence the scientist sat down between lab experiments to write up this impossible puzzle, but it certainly requires a high level of intellect. So, let's get to it.
As previously reported, only two per cent of participants can actually crack this, so don't give yourself too hard of a time when you inevitably fail. Okay, so here's the set up: the world's rarest fish has been stolen to the aquarium and police have followed the scent to a row of houses. They have to get the house with the fish inside right the first time, otherwise the thief will run away.
There are five houses, each painted a different colour. In each house lives a person with a different nationality. These five owners drink a certain type of beverage, smoke a certain brand of cigar, and keep a certain pet. No owners have the same pet, smoke the same cigar, or drink the same beverage. To aid you on your quest, here are some hints that might prove handy:
1. The Brit lives in the red house
2. The Swede keeps dogs as pets
3. The Dane drinks tea
4. The green house is directly to the left of the white house
5. The owner of the green house drinks coffee
6. The person who smokes Pall Mall rears birds
7. The owner of the yellow house smokes Dunhill
8. The man living in the centre house drinks milk
9. The Norwegian lives in the first house
10. The man who smokes blends lives next to the one who keeps cats
11. The man who keeps horses lives next to the man who smokes Dunhill
12. The owner who smokes BlueMaster drinks beer
13. The German smokes Prince
14. The Norwegian lives next to the blue house
15. The man who smokes blend has a neighbour who drinks water
We're not giving away any clues for this one, but you're not under any time limit - so take a while to map out all of the information you have been given and see if you can work out who lives in each house. To then solve the mystery of who stole the fish, you'll need to bring out your sharp analytical skills.
Admitting defeat already, or think you've finally cracked it? The answer is waiting for you below - but no cheating!
ANSWER: The German man living in house number four has stolen the fish. This is because he is the only man on the street who doesn't already have a pet.

Scotland's first Gaelic metalcore band to debut at Belladrum
The Glasgow-based four-piece have build an online fanbase over the last year and intend to make an impact at Belladrum before making way for the likes of The Hoosiers and Example. The festival takes place just a few miles outside of Beauly, near Inverness, and vocalist Colin Stone said: '[[Gaelic]] music is often associated with accordions, acoustic guitars, and the fiddle. Gun Ghaol began as a way to combat that stereotype. "It's brilliant that Belladrum have recognised the following we've been building online and wanted to bring it to their audience. Read More 'We don't wear masks, there's nobody famous involved - it's just riffs and breakdowns in a language that deserves to be heard." Gun Ghaol will be the heaviest set across the three day festival that includes others such as Natasha Bedingfield, Supergrass and Texas but the group are aware of that and are keen to offer something different to audiences. Colin added: "We're something completely different for audiences. "Metalcore, our genre, has been performed in English for decades. There are other bands whose lyrics are in German, French, Russian. So I thought: why can't we do this in Gaelic? 'It's a language I've spoken all my life. It's my heritage. And if we can bring it to people in a way they've never heard before, that's fantastic.' Figures from the 2022 national census found that the number of Gaelic speakers in Scotland was on the rise, with strong increases in school-age children and young adults. Gun Ghaol themselves are fresh off the back of releasing 'Tog Dealbh', the second single from their upcoming 'Sgrios' EP with Dundee-based producer Kieran Smith.

Anthony Joshua needed just three words when first asked about Jake Paul
Despite being very complimentary of Paul, it seems as if Joshua may face off against the YouTuber-turned-boxer in the ring next year Anthony Joshua showed his class when he was first asked about YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul four years ago. The pair met for the first time in Dubai three years ago and seemed rather cordial with each other. Paul had just started to make big waves in the sport of boxing and - after defeating former UFC champion Anderson Silva - decided to take a little holiday to the Middle East. As for Joshua, the Brit was in Dubai for training and a holiday. The YouTuber-turned-boxer trained with Joshua's friend Lawrence Okolie, and later played laser tag with the ex-champion. A year prior to their meeting, 'AJ' was asked for his thoughts about Paul and insisted he's 'great for boxing.' '[He's] great for boxing", the heavyweight said during an interview with IFL TV. "He's trying, zero amateur experience, throwing himself in the deep end. He'll probably learn a lot more than a lot of fighters, throwing himself in the deep end, putting himself under pressure. Good luck to him.' Recalling the meeting in Dubai, Paul said: "To me that means the most when the legends of the sport are like 'this kid's legit and what he's doing for the sport is great'. It's easy to get lost in the comments and in the sheep hating on you. But then there's guys like Roy Jones Jr, Evander Holyfield, Tyson, all these legends showing love. Even Tyson Fury, current active champions, or Anthony Joshua. I was just with him and he was singing praises; that to me means more [than online hate]. I haven't really seen [many boxing legends badmouth him]. Which I guess is kind of the tell-tale sign; if your peers respect you then that's the most important." Three years on from their link-up, the pair have now discussed a potential fight. Back in March, Joshua called the young American after the latter claimed he could beat him in a dust-up. Both fighters posted images of the phone call with the caption 2026, teasing a potential clash sometime next year. Initially, reports claimed that the pair would trade leather towards the back end of 2026. That said, Paul's promoter and business partner - Nakisa Bidarian - recently revealed that he is having discussions with Eddie Hearn and that the clash could happen a lot sooner than anticipated. Speaking to Sky Sports, he said: "I think the fight can absolutely happen. I'm looking at it as Jake versus Joshua, which is quite biblical, and it's quite impactful in many ways. I think size wise, we can get comfortable with it, and I think experience wise, Jake is learning very fast and growing, and Joshua is a little long in the tooth. So it could be a very interesting matchup, and we're actively discussing it with Matchroom. "I think we're looking at it happening at the start of 2026. It's public that AJ was taking a little time away, I think he had a little surgery. So once he's ready, and once Jake is ready, we're going to squarely focus on that. It's a fight that Jake wants to do, and that's a discussion we've had at length, and he feels very confident about where he is in his career and his chances of upsetting Anthony Joshua." When is Jake Paul's next fight? Paul is hoping to remain active following his dominant win over former middleweight champion Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. Days after the victory, the 'Problem Child' was placed in the WBC's cruiserweight rankings. The 28-year-old's promoter revealed his business partner is keen on fighting for a world title 'as soon as possible'. However, he admits it is likely it won't happen next, given the current standings at 200lbs. "Absolutely [he will fight again this year]. November or December," Bidarian told Ariel Helwani when asked about Paul's next steps. "I'm seeing him tonight for dinner, and we will have a conversation [about his next opponent]. The only possibility right now is that Jake wants to fight for a belt as soon as possible. "I have to talk to him, I think it's tough this year [to box for a world title]. Badou Jack is who he wants to fight more than anyone, and he has a mandatory rematch with the guy he just beat [Noel Mikaelian] for the WBC. I don't know if this year is possible [for the title fight], but we'll see."

Stephen Fry joins Olly Alexander in the West End transfer of ‘The Importance of Being Earnest' transfers to London's West End
UPDATE: Following the announcement back in June that the National Theatre's production of Oscar Wilde's The Importance of Being Earnest would transfer to London's West End with Olly Alexander replacing original star Ncuti Gatwa, full casting has today been announced. The huge news is that massive Brit star Stephen Fry will make one of his rare stage appearances: his first since the Globe's Twelfth Night back in 2012. He'll play the play's infamous old battle-axe Lady Bracknell: very different casting to Sharon D Clarke, who played the role at the NT, but having the role played by a man is not without precedent (David Suchet did it in the West End a while back). They'll be joined by an excellent cast that includes Nathan Stewart-Jarrett as Jack Worthing, Hugh Dennis as Rev. Canon Chasuble, Shobna Gulati as Miss Prism, Kitty Hawthorne as Gwendolen Fairfax, Jessica Whitehurst as Cecily Cardew and Hayley Carmichael as Merriman/Lane. Ncuti Gatwa's time on Doctor Who proved to be pretty brief. But he didn't put his feet up in the gap between his two seasons – theatre was his first love and he got straight back on that stage last Christmas to star in the National Theatre's hallucinogenically camp take on Oscar Wilde's classic The Importance of Being Earnest, the first the NT had staged since the '80s. The Max Webster-directed production was a roaring great hit and now it's set to transfer to the West End, replacing Mischief Theatre's The Comedy About Spies at the Noël Coward Theatre. Gatwa's not coming along though: whether he'd have been up for it is a moot point, as he's already busy starring in the RSC's new West End play Born with Teeth. However, a fine replacement has been found for the role of young 'bachelor' about town Algernon Montcrieff: it's Olly Alexander, who hasn't been in Doctor Who but did make his name as actor in It's A Sin, another show by Russell T Davies. Wilde's play is very much an ensemble affair and there is no news on further casting at this stage, though we dare to dream that the mighty Sharon D Clarke will return as the formidable Lady Bracknell.
