Florida's Will Richard Invited to NBA G League Elite Camp
On Saturday, Draft Express' Jon Chepkevich reported that guard Will Richard, a key member of Florida's national championship team, received an invite to the NBA G League Elite Camp.

Richard is ranked 92nd in the DX Top 100 and was a reliable scoring option for the Gators last season. He averaged 13.3 points, 4.6 rebounds and 1.9 assists for Florida in the 2024-2025 campaign.
Florida beat the Houston Cougars 65-63 to win the national title. Florida head coach Todd Golden took just three years to secure the program's massive achievement.

Richard's college basketball career started at Belmont in 2021. He spent one season there before transferring to Florida in 2022. Richard averaged 12.1 points as a true freshman for Belmont.
He had an instant impact at Florida in 2022, starting in 30 of his 32 games. That season, Richard averaged 10.4 points and 4.5 rebounds per game.

Richard improved his scoring numbers in the 2023-2024 season, averaging 11.4 points per game for the Gators in 36 games.
Last season, he set a career-high in points per game and started all 40 games for Florida. His efforts earned him spots on the 2025 Final Four All-Tournament Team and the 2025 All-SEC Tournament Team.
In his final game with the Gators, he led the team with 18 points, had eight rebounds, and two assists.
Florida's roster will look very different in the 2025-2026 season, with key losses like Walter Clayton Jr., Richard, Denzel Aberdeen and Alijah Martin.
If Richard performs well enough at the NBA G League Elite Camp, which will be held from May 9-11, he will be invited to the 2025 NBA Draft Combine.

Texas will lose at Florida according to CBS Sports
Texas has a challenging schedule. It's not the hardest in the SEC by any means. But it's also not the easiest. UT has several tough games on the road in 2025. Texas opens at Ohio State. They face OU in Dallas. They will travel to Georgia. And they go to the Swamp to take on Florida, where they will suffered their first loss of the season according to CBS Sports. Florida's rising sophomore quarterback made big plays in Florida's two upset wins and some have called Lagway the most important individual player in the country. His play would be the big reason Florida beats Texas, if it happens. Florida Gators kicker Trey Smack named to Lou Groza Award preseason watch list
The 2025 edition of the Lou Groza Award preseason watchlist is out, and one member of the Florida football program saw his name mentioned among the 30 student-athletes listed. Senior kicker Trey Smack was named to the prestigious watch list for the second time in his collegiate career, also getting the call back in 2023 when he finished among the semifinalists. While he missed out in 2024, his performance last season was arguably better, playing in all 13 games while nailing 18 of 21 field goal attempts and remaining perfect in PATs for the second-straight season with 44 — giving him a total of 73 straight PATs over two years. Smack has earned the SEC Special Teams Player of the Week award thrice (Week 12, 2024; Week 7, 2023; Week 4, 2023) and Lou Groza Star of the Week honors twice (Week 7, 2023; Week 4, 2023). About the Lou Groza Award The Lou Groza Award — named after the NFL great who played 21 seasons with the Cleveland Browns after serving in World War II — is presented each year to the best placekicker in college football. Groza was a nine-time all-pro player and won four AAFC championships and four NFL championships before retiring in 1967.
