But Ramos, 23, was involved in a road traffic collision on Gran Canaria earlier this month.
He remained in a coma for 15 days while medics battled to save his life.
But Las Palmas announced the left-back has now passed away as a result of his injuries.
They said: "UD Las Palmas deeply regret having to announce the passing of Zebensui Ramos Gonzalez, known in football as Zeben.
"The Las Palmas C team player, aged 23, was unable to overcome the severe injuries he sustained in a tragic collision on June 9 at Arucas on Gran Canaria.
"A versatile left-sided defender with great prospects, Zeben stood out due to his commitment, character and ability to adapt to various defensive roles.
"His non-stop hard work and his attitude on and off the pitch earned him the chance to repeatedly train with [reserve team] Las Palmas Atletico.
"We wish to convey our deepest condolences to his family, friends and teammates, and to everyone who accompanied him during his football career.
"The entire Yellows family unites in grief at Zeben's loss. He will forever remain in our hearts."
Ramos rubbed shoulders with a host of past and current Premier League players at Las Palmas last term.
Their squad included ex-Manchester United winger Adnan Januzaj, former Nottingham Forest defender Scott McKenna and ex-Sheffield United frontman Oli McBurnie.
Meanwhile, Liverpool midfielder Stefan Bajectic and Wolves ace Fabio Silva spent time on loan to the Canaries club.
Last season, the club were relegated as they finished 19th in their 20-team top flight.

Wrexham: Why Luke McNicholas left for Forest Green Rovers

The 25-year-old, who initially arrived at The Racecourse on a short-term loan from League of Ireland Premier Division side Sligo Rovers in August 2023 before penning a permanent deal the following January, has joined the National League outfit for an undisclosed fee. He made three appearances for the Reds during the 2023-24 season, all in the EFL Trophy, and kept six clean sheets in nine National League appearances last term during a loan spell with Rochdale but injury cut short his stay at Spotland. Parkinson intended to allow McNicholas - behind the more experienced trio of Arthur Okonkwo, Callum Burton and new signing Danny Ward in the pecking order at The Racecourse - to continue his development with another loan spell in the 2025-26 campaign. However, the former Republic of Ireland youth international has signed for Forest Green who lost in the National League play-offs last term and have made ex-Wales international Robbie Savage their new manager. "We initially brought Luke in when we had Ben Foster here. To support Ben and be a goalkeeper we could work with and develop," said Parkinson. "Obviously Ben retired and we signed Arthur who is a young keeper so it blocked Luke's progress a little bit. "He went on loan at the start of last season to Rochdale and did well but then he had some injury problems. "Forest Green have obviously monitored what he has done in the National League and were very keen to sign him. MORE WREXHAM AFC NEWS "He is a good lad and I really hope he does well. He is a very good goalkeeper. "We felt he would go out on loan because he is at that stage where he needs games for his development. "However, we also thought that if a club comes in and makes an offer, we would also consider that. "Forest Green did that and we decided to sell him, and we wish him all the best."

Liverpool's Portuguese forward Diogo Jota dies in car crash in Spain

Two men, aged 28 and 26, were found dead in the car, which burst into flames near Zamora, the capital of the Zamora province, which is in the Castile and Leon region. "We have lost two champions. Their deaths represent irreparable losses for Portuguese football, and we will do everything we can to honour their legacy every day," the Portuguese Football Federation said in a statement. Spanish police told Reuters they could not yet officially confirm the names of the deceased, but everything pointed to it being Jota and his brother. The Lamborghini they were travelling in veered off the road, the spokesperson said. The bodies have been taken to a forensics unit in Zamora, where autopsies will be performed, they said. Who was Diogo Jota? Jota, who got married in June, helped Liverpool win the Premier League last season and also won the FA Cup and League Cup with the Merseyside outfit. Jota and his wife just had their third baby on November 26, according to posts made on Instagram. "He just won the Prem, Nations League, and got married all within a month," wrote one user on Instagram. "And his life has been cut short. RIP" Jota arrived at Anfield, Liverpool's football [soccer] club, from Wolverhampton Wanderers in 2020 and scored 65 goals in 182 appearances for the club in all competitions. "Liverpool Football Club are devastated by the tragic passing of Diogo Jota," the club wrote in a post on X. He also made 49 appearances for Portugal, twice winning the UEFA Nations League. Jadon Sancho 'in talks' with European giant as Garnacho sent Man Utd warning

Ruben Amorim's players are enjoying their final few days before reporting for pre-season on Monday but Manchester United's head coach is still looking to shift several unwanted stars Manchester United's players are entering their last weekend before pre-season training kicks off on Monday with a reminder from Ruben Amorim that they will be expected to post personal bests across a series of physical challenges. But Amorim is still waiting for an update around potential arrivals and departures with interest in Viktor Gyokeres cooling, an eagerness to sign Bryan Mbeumo from Brentford maintained and a host of speculation around expected departures. ‌ That includes wingers Jadon Sancho and Alejandro Garnacho, both of whom could head abroad with Serie A on the cards for the former in a bargain deal. Argentina's Garnacho, however, will cost around £50m. ‌ Here are the transfer tales to keep tabs on from in and around Old Trafford. Sancho talks Jadon Sancho has held talks with Juventus in a bid to end his miserable time at Old Trafford. England winner Sancho spent last season on loan at Chelsea but the Blues decided against paying £5m to make his move permanent. He moved to United from Borussia Dortmund in 2021 for £73m but has scored just nine goals. And with no future under Ruben Amorim at United, he is seeking a move abroad and the Serie A giants have made their firm interest clear, according to various reports. Garnacho lesson Former Manchester United captain Roy Keane would have taken Alejandro Garnacho out on the training pitch for his latest show of petulance. Garnacho, who has fallen out of favour at United, posted on social media a picture of him wearing an Aston Villa top with Marcus Rashford's name and number on the back. Rashford spent the second half of last season on loan at Villa after falling out with boss Ruben Amorim, and Garnacho's provocative stunt was seen as him taunting the United boss after he, too, suffered the same fate as the England forward. ‌ Garnacho was dropped for United's 1-0 Europa League final defeat to Tottenham in Bilbao, prompting the winger – who turned 21 yesterday – to publicly criticise Amorim over the decision and reveal he was considering his future. That in turn convinced Amorim that Garnacho has no place in his future plans, with the club actively looking to sell the £50million-rated Argentina international this summer. Former United striker Louis Saha said ex-skipper Keane would have dealt with Garnacho in the most brutal way possible – by subjecting him to a series of fierce tackles on the training pitch to show him he was out of line. ‌ Lukaku admission Romelu Lukaku has claimed that he never wanted a move to Manchester United but was swayed by his agent. The Belgian striker signed for the Red Devils in 2017 in a £75m deal. His switch came after a prolific spell with Everton having scored 87 goals in 166 appearances for the Toffees. And things started well for Lukaku at Old Trafford having scored 27 goals across his debut campaign. But things soon went awry having fallen out of favour during his second season, while he found the net just 15 times. Lukaku was eventually sold to Italian giants Inter Milan. The forward has now admitted that he was never clamouring for a move to United. Join our new WhatsApp community and receive your daily dose of Mirror Football content.
