Justin Bieber Releases New Album, 'Swag,' With Surprise Drop
The 31-year-old singer released his seventh studio album, titled'Swag,' on Friday, July 10. The LP was made available on streaming platforms at midnight.
Bieber's last album, 'Justice,' which included his hits 'Holy,' 'Lonely,' 'Hold On' and 'Peaches,' dropped in March 2021.
In 2023, he was featured on the acoustic version SZA's single 'Snooze' and Don Toliver's 'Private Landing,' which also featured Future.
The Grammy winner had teased his new album July 9, sharing photos of his album cover on billboards around the world.
Prior to the official drop, he shared what appeared to be the album cover, which included him holding his almost-1-year-old son, Jack, whom he shares with wife Hailey Bieber.
In another post, which appeared to be in New York's Times Square, Bieber shared the record's 21-song track list. He also shared a photo of the track list on a billboard near State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Georgia.
On July 7, Bieber shared a handful of photos of himself in the studio. Jack was also included in the jam session. In one pic, the toddler stands by a wooden table, dressed in striped overalls as some musicians strum on guitars.
Over the years, Bieber has taken breaks from music to focus on his mental health. In 2019, he shared on social media that he was stepping back from his work to deal with some private issues 'so that I don't fall apart.'
'I read a lot of messages saying you want an album. I've toured my whole teenage life, and early 20s,' he began. 'I realized and as you guys probably saw I was unhappy last tour and I don't deserve that and you don't deserve that, you pay money to come and have a lively energetic fun light concert and I was unable emotionally to give you that near the end of the tour.'
After releasing 'Justice,' he canceled the rest of the North American leg of his tour in June 2022 after sharing that he was suffering from Ramsay Hunt syndrome, a rare disorder caused by a virus that affects the facial nerve and can lead to paralysis.
The pop star continued touring shortly after, performing six shows in Europe and one in Brazil. However, he then announced he would be taking a break from touring.

The star suffers from aquaphobia - an intense and irrational fear of water that was triggered following a traumatic experience at a swimming party when she was a child. Opening up about her phobia, Helen shared, 'I was terrified of putting my head underwater. I have a real deep-rooted fear. I used to love the water when I was really young, but I went to a swimming party when I was six. They put those weird Nineties foam mats down. They're massive yoga mats, really. 'I just remember this moment of being stuck underneath one and not being able to get out. There was that fear of being trapped.' Revealing that it was this fear that encouraged her to sign up for the show, Helen explained, 'My kids know that I am scared of the water, and my seven-year-old is more confident in the water than I am, and I realised I've got to do something about that as it's not safe.' During both her pregnancies, Helen faced health battled. The star suffered from intrahepatic cholestasis (ICP), a condition that causes severe itching and led to the premature birth of both her babies. Sharing her ordeal on Instagram during her second pregnancy, Helen later recalled, 'I tried everything - creams, baths, all of it - and nothing would work. I would scratch all day and all night, normally on my hands, shoulders, feet - but that quickly increased to bloody everywhere.' Brits list cinema's most tearjerking scenes from Mufasa's death to ET's goodbye
British film fans have revealed cinema's top tearjerking moments with some of the most heart-wrenching scenes in movie history - from Mufasa's death to E.T. finally saying goodbye making the top 20 Titanic's tearjerking ending has topped a poll of the most emotional movie scenes of all time. The moment in which Rose (Kate Winslet) has to let lover Jack (Leonardo DiCaprio) slip beneath the waves was the number one choice in a survey of 2,000 Brits. Rose and Jack's goodbye was cited by 67 per cent of respondents, ahead of Mufasa's tragic death in Disney's The Lion King which took second spot with 59 per cent of those polled. John Coffey's (Michael Clarke Duncan) final utterance before his execution in The Green Mile, 'I'm tired boss,' is in third place with 39 per cent. Rounding out the top five are Forrest Gump's visit to Jenny's grave (36 per cent), and the emotional scene in Schindler's List in which Oskar Schindler (Liam Neeson) wishes he could have saved more of his Jewish workers from the Nazis (35 per cent). The survey, commissioned by Samsung, also provided some intriguing insights into our movie-watching habits. While once we would have wept as Rose and Jack parted forever in the cinema, vast numbers of us are now reduced to tears by films we watch on our phones. An astonishing seven in ten Brits (71 per cent) have cried at a film or TV show while watching on their devices. Four in 10 say they have been caught crying in public while watching something emotional on their phone, with more than a quarter (26 per cent) saying they tried to cover up their tears. That's despite 56 per cent of us saying crying at emotional programmes or movies has become more socially acceptable than it used to be. Annika Bizon, Samsung mobile experience vice president of product and marketing, said: 'These findings show that people are deeply connected to what they watch, no matter where they are. Whether you're on a plane, a train, or anywhere in between, a phone screen can deliver that powerful, emotional entertainment experience.' The survey also revealed 47 per cent of Brits watch more than five hours of movies on their phone every week. Virgin River season 7 set for 'major format change' as Netflix makes huge shake-up
Virgin River fans will see a shift in the story Netflix has revealed that season seven of Virgin River is going to see some big changes, reports the Daily Express. The forthcoming outing, which recently wrapped filming, was mostly filmed in Vancouver, Canada with a pitstop in Mexico - a detail which is likely to raise eyebrows about what's really going on. Given the show is called Virgin River and set in the titular location, and its surrounding areas, it's going to be something of a change. The romantic drama has rarely departed from its location and it's not clear why there's been a shift, however, it could be that newlyweds Jack Sheridan (played by Martin Henderson) and Mel Monroe (Alexandra Breckenridge) are honeymooning down south of the border. But this visit to Mexico could also see some more twists and turns thrown in the show, which is known for its fair share of drama. The Mexico filming news comes after Netflix announced the fate of beloved series, confirming it's been renewed for season eight, ahead of its seventh series premiere. Virgin River has become the streaming platform's longest-running, live-action scripted series, outlasting the likes of both Orange Is The New Black and Grace and Frankie. In a statement to Netflix's Tudum, Smith said: "On behalf of myself and the whole Virgin River family, we're eternally grateful to Netflix and to the fans for allowing us to continue on this journey with these beloved characters.' Season eight will comprise of another 10 episodes, so fans have plenty of twists and turns to look forward to. There's going to be a wait for season eight, given the seventh series only just finished filming and is going to be going into post-production. Sadly, season seven doesn't have a release date as yet, with Breckenridge previously posting an Instagram poll asking followers to speculate on whether the show would premiere in 2025 or not. She also shared a cryptic video in which she showed off her costume, suggesting Mel would be getting back to nursing again. Virgin River first premiered pre-pandemic back in 2019, loosely based on the novels by Robin Carr, The show has gone on to become a smash hit thanks to its sweet and gripping storylines, carving out its own storylines away from the source material.
