Fans participate in Aziz Maraka's new music video Shaifa Eh - Music - Arts & Culture

Jordanian singer and songwriter Aziz Maraka released a new music video for his single Shaifa Eh (What Do You See?) on Wednesday, featuring his fans. Aziz chose to shoot the video on the streets of Lebanon, featuring the band Disco Beirut alongside his fans and supporters. The filming was organised following an open invitation he extended to them via his Instagram page — a gesture he often makes, inviting fans to take part in the shooting of his songs. This approach enables Maraka to transform the shooting experience into a form of competition and creative challenge. It also creates an engaging dynamic and helps produce music videos that stand out for their unique and innovative style. Aziz had previously used this same approach in Egypt when filming the song Ma Tegy Sekka (Why Don't You Join Me?), which was shot on the streets of the Korba neighbourhood in Heliopolis. That video featured actress Asmaa Aboul Yazeed and gained widespread popularity across all social media platforms. The single "Shaifa Eh" features lyrics by Aya Atef, music by Aziz Maraka, and arrangement by Carlos Bou Mjahed. The new single was first performed in front of a live audience during his recent concert at the Dubai World Trade Centre (UAE) on 5 July, where it was well-received by the audience. The music video is now available on YouTube, all music streaming platforms, and Radio stations. Aziz Maraka Born in 1983, Maraka is a Jordanian singer, songwriter, and producer of Palestinian descent. His career began with "Bent El-Nas," his first hit on the self-titled debut album in 2008. The album helped Maraka propagate his music style, which he calls Razz — a fusion of Arabic rock and jazz performed in the Jordanian dialect. Currently, Cairo-based Maraka performs frequently in Jordan, where he has a large fan base, as well as numerous concerts in Egypt and across the Arab region. In addition to his well-established solo career, Maraka enjoys collaborating with various artists, including Egyptian musicians Tamer Hosny, Abyusif, and Sharmoofers; Amman-based Palestinian singer-songwriter Noel Kharman; singer Raji El-Jaru; and Sudanese rapper Ghayaz Alagha, among others.
