Derrick Henry nearly breaks social media with another elite athletic display

USA Today4 days ago
Derrick Henry again wows the social media crowd with another eye-popping display of elite athleticism.
Who remembers those Scooby Doo cartoons? Remember those episodes when they captured the foe and unmasked them to reveal the enemy's true identity? It's been a while since that's been thought of by most of us adults. Then, Derrick Henry joined the Baltimore Ravens last season.
Henry turned 31 years old this past January. He's coming off the second-best season of his career, one where he led the league in touchdown runs and came just 79 rushing yards short of eclipsing 2,000 for the second time since entering the NFL.
What if Derrick Henry is in disguise? The question is only asked because something tells us he's from another planet. He's aging backwards, and we'd be willing to bet hard-earned money that, if you unmask him, you'll find Superman or, at the very least, The Terminator.
Derrick Henry breaks social media again with his usual superhuman athleticism.
It bears repeating. Derrick Henry is 31. He's also built like Colossus from the X-Men. Recently, a few clips were taken of him running up a hill in preparation for another Baltimore Ravens training camp.
We realize that some of you are pessimists and overly-gloomy by nature, and that your response to this is probably something along the lines of 'So what? He's a professional athlete! The rest of us feel differently. We're football junkies by nature and to our core, and workout videos at this time of the year trump everything.
Is King Henry an alien? Who knows... The jury is still out, but here's what we can say with certainty. Henry is going to break the internet doing this, and once the season begins, he'll break the ankles of the defenders trying to tackle him and the hearts of those cheering against him. Another brilliant season is loading.

Christian McCaffrey and Olivia Culpo Share Heart-Warming Family News

Christian McCaffrey and Olivia Culpo Share Heart-Warming Family News originally appeared on Athlon Sports. San Francisco 49ers running back Christian McCaffrey has a new reason to be motivated to perform this season - it will be his first season as a father. Advertisement McCaffrey and his wife Olivia Culpo shared photos of their newborn daughter on Sunday, welcoming Colette Annalise McCaffrey to the world. The star ball-carrier and former Miss USA winner announced they were having a baby via Culpo's Instagram on March 10 with a series of photos from a pregnancy shoot. Colette's arrival comes just over a year since her parents married on June 29, 2024 during the offseason after "CMC" helped lead his 49ers to Super Bowl LVIII, where they lost to the Kansas City Chiefs in February of last year. This special time for McCaffrey and his family leads up to what is sure to be a season driven by focus and determination for the 49ers. Advertisement Last season after their Super Bowl berth, San Francisco was ravaged by injuries and played below their standards, leading to a 6-11 season in which they missed the playoffs entirely. McCaffrey, in particular, missed 13 of the team's 17 games with Achilles and knee troubles. The former All-Pro running back has vowed that he is fully healthy this offseason and ready to rebound from a disappointing season. When fully available, the Niners have enough firepower to contend not just in the NFC West but the conference as a whole. A motivated McCaffrey is a huge factor in that. And the new father now has a little bundle of joy to play for as he enters his ninth season in the NFL. This story was originally reported by Athlon Sports on Jul 14, 2025, where it first appeared.

It's no surprise that their daughter, Colette Annalise McCaffrey, is as cute as a button. McCaffrey and Culpo wed in June 2024 during a lavish Rhode Island ceremony. The former Miss Universe documented her pregnancy on social media, often through some hilarious videos, as she and McCaffrey eagerly awaited Colette's arrival. McCaffrey played just four games during the 2024 NFL season as he dealt with injuries, but the former NFL Offensive Player of the Year is preparing for the 49ers' upcoming campaign as a fully healthy participant with no restrictions. Advertisement 'It's been great,' McCaffrey told reporters in April. 'Everything has been really smooth. I'm really pumped to be back here.' Bills Sign Receiver Labeled 'Uninspiring Choice' By Analyst

Bills Sign Receiver Labeled 'Uninspiring Choice' By Analyst originally appeared on Athlon Sports. The NFL offseason can be a strange place, and for the Buffalo Bills, the franchise was urged to sign a new weapon for Josh Allen, and they did, Los Angeles Chargers receiver Joshua Palmer. Advertisement But that wasn't good enough for some, with the need not satisfied and others wanting a genuine No. 1 weapon despite the obvious salary cap limitations. Palmer has posted at least 500+ receiving yards in his last three seasons in L.A., so he isn't exactly a mug, but for ESPN's Seth Walder, the signing of Palmer wasn't good. "Palmer is an uninspiring choice given his 1.6 yards per route run last season (and failure to ever reach 1.9 yards per route run in a season) despite playing with Justin Herbert in Los Angeles," Walder writes. "When the Bills didn't draft a wide receiver until the seventh round, GM Brandon Beane took issue with the criticism." Vasquez-Imagn Images Perhaps the best thing about Palmer coming to Buffalo is that he won't need to be the No. 1 guy, with Keon Coleman and Khalil Shakir, along with tight end Dalton Kincaid, all part of an arsenal of weapons that helped the Bills reach the AFC Championship game last year. Advertisement Instead, Palmer will be asked to be part of the machine, not the driving force. Yes, his numbers might not be greater than they were in Los Angeles, but that doesn't mean he won't be a valued part of Joe Brady's offense. Some are writing off the signing of Palmer before he's played a snap with the defending MVP, so we'll let the cake bake on any narrative around Joshua right now.
