Zendaya sent Anna Sawai this sweet gift after their accidental Met Gala twinning moment
Both actors went viral for their strikingly similar all-white ensembles — Zendaya in a Louis Vuitton suit with flared pants and Sawai in a Dior suit with wide-leg trousers — with many fans quick to pit the two against each other in a 'who wore it best' scenario.
Now a week later, Zendaya's longtime stylist Law Roach confirmed that neither star, or their teams, are upset over the incident. He noted that the Oakland native even sent Sawai flowers after the event.
"I think people thought that there was some type of disappointment on our end,' he told Entertainment Tonight in a clip posted on Tuesday, May 13. '(Sawai's) stylist Karla Welch and I are very friendly, we've known each other for years, and Karla and I talked. Zendaya sent Anna flowers, you know, because it was her first Met.'
Roach was in the middle of an on-camera interview when Sawai hit the carpet on May 5, and was caught rolling his eyes.
'I am dying 'cause she's got on Zendaya's look,' he told Hello Beautiful. 'I'm so glad we came early.'
Despite that initial reaction, however, Roach now acknowledges that both actors nailed the night's theme, 'Superfine: Tailoring Black Style,' and emphasized that though they looked similar upon first glance, each look had a different story behind it.
'It wasn't any disappointment, it was like two people paying homage to two different people. Yoko (Ono) being Anna's inspiration and Diana (Ross) and Bianca (Jagger) being ours,' Roach continued, referring to the pop culture icons. 'It just happened and they both looked great and they're both beautiful women.'
Sawai shared a similar reaction to this discourse on her Instagram account last week when sharing photos of her outfit.
'I know a lot of people have a lot to say, and trust me, I admire her too,' the ' Shogun ' actor wrote. 'But most importantly, I'm so happy with my look, so please be happy for me too.'
Welch also acknowledged the moment on social media last week, praising Roach's creative vision and joking that they were paying homage to Zendaya as well as Ono.

Beyoncé makes history with highest grossing country tour, earning over $400 million
Beyoncé Knowles-Carter concluded her groundbreaking "Cowboy Carter" tour in Las Vegas, making history with the highest grossing country tour as she surpassed $400 million in earnings. The Grammy-winning singer took her final bow on her Cowboy Carter and the Rodeo Chitlin' Circuit Tour at Allegiant Stadium in Vegas on July 26. She ended her run with a bang, bringing out Destiny's Child, Jay-Z and Shaboozey for surprise performances. The concert signaled the end of her "Cowboy Carter" era — a 32-stop stadium tour that spanned the U.S. and Europe. The nine-city stint grossed over $400 million with attendance over 1.5 million in its three-month run, according to Live Nation. Billboard reported Beyoncé's "Cowboy Carter" tour is the highest grossing country tour of all time and the shortest tour in any genre to make over $400 million. Beyoncé extends her record as the highest grossing Black artist of all time and the highest-grossing R&B artist of all time. With her "Cowboy Carter" tour, she also becomes the first woman and the first American act to have two separate tours gross over $400 million. Billboard reported Coldplay, Ed Sheeran and The Rolling Stones are the only other acts that have accomplished this feat. Beyoncé's Renaissance World Tour — Act 1 — reportedly grossed $580 million in 2023. As fans know, Beyoncé first debuted the highly anticipated show at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles on April 28 with 39 songs on the set list. The tour proved to be a revolutionary spectacle filled with fashion, different music genres and most notably country music and cultural commentary as she challenged industry norms. The megastar first released her eighth studio album, "Cowboy Carter," in March 2024. It has since made history and broken multiple records. As Beyoncé's first country album, she deliberately featured country legends and emerging Black country artists alike. 'AI models in Vogue?' Guess ad sparks uproar
Vogue and Guess are under fire for the label's use of an AI model in an advert within the magazine's latest issue. In Vogue's latest issue, a two-page Guess ad features a model sitting with at a table while wearing a pale blue romper detailed with creme floral mesh appliqué, and the same model leaning against a wall in a black-and-white chevron-patterned maxi dress, with a coordinating handbag. In fine print in the corner of the ad reads: "Produced by Seraphinne Vallora on AI." Reactions to the use of an artificial intelligence-generated model has been swift. Social media commentary have been harsh, especially toward Vogue, with calls to discontinue support for the magazine. "boycott Vogue NOW! they're pushing out models for AI, devaluing hard work and art of real people," one user wrote on X. "Had to end the Vogue magazine subscription I've had for years because the latest magazine used AI models ??? In Vogue? AI models in Vogue?" another person wrote. Had to end the Vogue magazine subscription I've had for years because the latest magazine used AI models ??? In Vogue? AI models in Vogue? Others shared disappointment that a real model was not used. "so many models wanting to appear in vogue, only for them to end up using AI models," one person wrote. "No actual human being has body proportions naturally like this with that symmetrical of a face and that airbrushed of of skin," YouTuber Isabel Brown said in a reaction video. "There already was major societal backlash to magazines trying to make women look completely unattainable and not realistic whatsoever." Guess has yet to post the advertisement on its social media pages. That has not stopped commenters from calling out the clothing company on other posts. USA TODAY has reached out to Vogue and Guess for comment. Seraphinne Vallora responds to AI, Vogue backlash The one company that has come out about the ad is its creator, Seraphinne Vallora. Described as an "AI-driven" marketing agency, the company's work has also been seen in Elle, Grazia, the Wall Street Journal, FT Magazine and Harper's Bazaar, according to the company's website. A post shared by Seraphinne Vallora (@seraphinnevallora) "Why can't engineers, graphic designers, 3D artists, coders, architect -any kind of creative- build beauty too?" the company said in a July 27 Instagram post. "And funnily enough, we actually hire photographers and models as part of our workflow," the company added, "we understand people may think Al will be replacing jobs, but in reality, it's just like any other tool in the design industry and it CREATES jobs, because this images are Al-Driven but made by HUMANS, CREATIVES AND DESIGNERS." H&M made headlines earlier this year when it announced it planned to make digital clones of its models, though it's "exploring" how to do so in "a responsible way."

Anthony Anderson addresses backlash over resurfaced Lindsay Lohan interview
Anthony Anderson is voicing regret over a resurfaced Lindsay Lohan interview that's drawing backlash on social media. In a clip from a 2003 episode of "The Sharon Osbourne Show" that has spread on X in recent days, the "Black-ish" star spoke with a then 17-year-old Lohan, who told the comedian that she recently bought a place with her friend Raven-Symoné. Anderson remarked that "both of you are beautiful women" and asked, "What gentlemen will be at the new pad with you and Raven-Symoné? ... I'm just talking about parties, get togethers." Lohan said she did not have a boyfriend, leading Anderson to exclaim, "She's single, but looking!" The "Freaky Friday" star then shot back, "But I'm illegal, for people that are old." "Well, you know, some men like them young. We ain't gonna mention no names, but I'm one of them," Anderson replied, before letting out a hearty laugh. As the clip made the rounds online, a representative for Anderson, 54, addressed the remarks in a statement provided to Entertainment Weekly and People. Anthony Anderson hospitalized after on-set fight: 'Me against two goons and a chair' "This interview was clearly intended as comedy," the actor's spokesperson told the outlets. "He regrets if the humor was in poor taste and maintains the utmost respect for Lindsay. Any implication to the contrary is both inaccurate and potentially defamatory." The clip of the old interview sparked outrage on social media, with one X user replying, "I cannot believe this isn't AI. There's nooooo way he thought that 'joke' out and said this on TV." But some came to the comic's defense. "Calm down. It was cringe joke," another X user replied. Lindsay Lohan addresses plastic surgery rumors The interview resurfaced as Lohan returns to the spotlight to reunite with Jamie Lee Curtis in the highly anticipated sequel "Freakier Friday," which opens on Aug. 8. In the 2003 interview with Anderson, the actress was promoting the home video release of the original "Freaky Friday."
