Maria Shriver Gives Candid Opinion on Son Patrick Schwarzenegger's Ex-Girlfriend Miley Cyrus
Maria Shriver gave her candid opinion about her son Patrick Schwarzenegger's ex-girlfriend Miley Cyrus
Shriver said that she "liked" the "Flowers" singer and would be "happy to talk" to her if they ran into one another
Arnold Schwarzenegger recently shared his own opinions about Cyrus during an appearance on WWHLMaria Shriver isn't letting her son Patrick Schwarzenegger's split from ex Miley Cyrus impact her feelings about the Grammy winner.
Patrick, 31, and Cyrus, 32, dated from fall 2014 to spring 2015, making several public appearances together at the time. The exes have since moved on to other partners, but there don't seem to be any hard feelings, according to Patrick's mom, 69.
On the Thursday, June 26 episode of Today with Jenna & Friends, host Jenna Bush Hager and her guest co-host Shriver were discussing parents staying friends with their kids' exes in the 'Social Dilemmas' segment.
'Did you ever do that with any of your kids' exes? Keep in touch with them?' Bush Hager, 43, asked Shriver, who is also mom to Katherine Schwarzenegger, Christina Schwarzenegger and Christopher Schwarzenegger.
'No, no, I'm trying to think, no,' Shrived replied, prompting Bush Hager to toss in a cheeky question, asking, 'No Miley Cyrus?'
Shriver laughed at the comment, replying, 'I would be very happy to see Miley. I liked Miley. I'd be happy to see her. But I did not stay texting, no I didn't.'

In fact, Shriver isn't the only one of the White Lotus star's parents to speak out about Cyrus recently. During a Monday, June 23 appearance on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, Patrick's dad Arnold Schwarzenegger had nothing but praise for the 'Flowers' singer, 32.
'She's a wonderful, wonderful girl and human being,' Arnold, 77, told host Cohen. 'And very, very talented.'
Noting that Cyrus had traveled with the family on vacation, The Terminator star reiterated his admiration for the musician.
'She came up to Sun Valley when we were skiing up there,' he said. 'And she was just a wonderful house guest. We just all loved her.'
And while Patrick moved on and is currently engaged to be married to fiancée Abby Champion, his dad said of Cyrus, 'She was just a really good, good person and fun to hang out with. I'm sorry it didn't work out.'

Paramount May Not Be Done With ‘Transformers' Movies Yet
After 2024's Transformers One came and went, it's been a question of whether we'd actually see the Autobots and Decepticons on the big screen. The answer now appears to be 'yes,' and not just because Paramount's still pretending that crossover with G.I. Joe is happening. According to Matt Belloni at Puck News, the studio is spinning up several Transformers movies. One is said to be helmed by One director Josh Cooley, and will be live-action. The other is said to be coming from ex-franchise steward Michael Bay, who's currently operating as a 'hands-on producer' but could potentially direct. Bay dipped out after 2017's The Last Knight and has maintained a producer credit on later films, but the franchise hasn't been hitting those same financial highs since his exit behind the camera. Meanwhile, Puck didn't have any information on the other three rumored Transformers projects, and the G.I. Joe crossover is said to have two separate ideas that are both in early stages. Either way, this isn't exactly a new position for the franchise: pre-Last Knight, there were said to be a lot of Transformers movies in the works, but plans for a cinematic universe were halted after Knight underperformed. In 2021, Blue Beetle director Angel Manuel Soto was attached to direct a film, and Paramount's talked about doing a sequel to 2023's Rise of the Beasts. All Paramount reportedly has to do is have a Transformers movie in production by 2029 to maintain the rights to the IP. If it's got this many projects in the works, one of them should theoretically be ready by then. Will people be interested in them? That's another matter. Want more io9 news? Friday Music Guide: New Music From Lorde, Alex Warren & ROSÉ, KATSEYE and More
Billboard's Friday Music Guide serves as a handy guide to this Friday's most essential releases — the key music that everyone will be talking about today, and that will be dominating playlists this weekend and beyond. This week, Lorde reinvents herself, Alex Warren brings ROSÉ into his sonic world, and KATSEYE continue a 'Gnarly' run of success. Check out all of this week's picks below: More from Billboard Adrian Quesada's Psychedelic Journey: How the Black Pumas Co-Founder Delved Into Latin America's Romantic Past LL Cool J Gives Fans an NYC Rap History Crash Course in 'Hip Hop Was Born Here' Trailer Teddy Swims Welcomes His First Child With Girlfriend Raiche Wright: 'We Love You Lil Man' Lorde, The promotional campaign for Lorde's long-awaited fourth album has involved tales of a bitter breakup and body dysmorphia, creeping feelings of stage fright and questions about her gender identity. Instead of retreating from the intimate pressure points and personal changes that have defined her mid-twenties, she poured them into a new album, and is now hoisting them up for the world to see. One listen to Lorde's Virgin confirms that it is by far the bravest album of her career. Read the full review of Lorde's new album. Alex Warren & ROSÉ, 'On My Mind' A No. 1 smash will often result in some interesting phone calls about potential collaborations, and after Alex Warren followed up his enormous hit 'Ordinary' with the Jelly Roll team-up 'Bloodline,' ROSÉ has now hopped on the latest single from his upcoming album You'll Be Alright, Kid, with the BLACKPINK star holding her own amidst the horns and kick drum on the somber, likable folk-pop sing-along. KATSEYE, More pop songs should sound as audacious as 'Gnarly,' KATSEYE's off-the-wall breakthrough single that leads off their new five-song EP — and while that hyperpop sledgehammer sets up a slightly more subdued project, the girl group scores with slinky pop harmonies ('Gameboy'), dance balladry ('Mean Girls') and a smart twist on the anthemic 'Gnarly' sound to close things out ('M.I.A'). Lizzo, Although Lizzo has released a handful of pop-leaning singles so far in 2025, My Face Hurts From Smiling features none of them — instead, the surprise mixtape is a full-throated foray into rap music, designed to let her have a blast on tracks alongside SZA and Doja Cat and further regain her mojo before a presumably more mainstream-focused new album. Don Toliver, 'FWU' Don Toliver's helium-coated voice joins forces with Mustard's hard-clapping production on 'FWU,' a new single that serves as Toliver's first solo single of the year and boosts his momentum without high stakes — 'FWU' rolls along ceaselessly and purposefully, meant to be played loud and more than twice. Various Artists, On the same day that the Brad Pitt racing drama zooms into theaters, the full F1 album is unveiled as the most star-studded soundtrack of the year, with previously released tracks by Don Toliver and Doja Cat, Tate McRae, Ed Sheeran and ROSÉ complemented by new offerings from Burna Boy, RAYE, Madison Beer and more — just be sure to save time for Peggy Gou's bright, shuffling 'D.A.N.C.E' in the back half. Barbra Streisand, Barbra Streisand's elegant sequel to her 2014 duets album Partners succeeds due to its smart guest list: while legends like Paul McCartney, Bob Dylan and James Taylor swing by to sing and pay homage, the appearance of artists like Hozier and Laufey nicely shake up the sound, and the Babs-Mariah Carey-Ariana Grande summit 'One Heart, One Voice' lives up to its high-powered pedigree. Editor's Pick: Blood Orange, 'The Field' On the same day that a major new pop release that Dev Hyne contributed to, Lorde's Virgin, is unveiled, indie fans can be equally enthralled by the first song in three years from his Blood Orange project: 'The Field' — which melds the voices of Caroline Polachek, Daniel Caesar and others with Hynes' own — is hauntingly gorgeous, a hymn-like variation on Blood Orange's danceable pop-R&B that hopefully previews more to come from the studio master. Best of Billboard Chart Rewind: In 1989, New Kids on the Block Were 'Hangin' Tough' at No. 1 Janet Jackson's Biggest Billboard Hot 100 Hits H.E.R. & Chris Brown 'Come Through' to No. 1 on Adult R&B Airplay Chart

Millie Bobby Brown Shows Off Her Tan Lines in an Itty Bitty String Bikini
Millie Bobby Brown paired her newly-dyed brunette hair with the tiniest string bikini on Friday, June 27. The Stranger Things star showed off her visible tan lines in the barely-there cottagecore style. She also gave fans a glimpse of her behind-the-scenes filming of Enola Holmes Bobby Brown made a stylish case for cottagecore swimwear as she enjoyed a beach day on Friday, June 27. In addition to giving fans a glimpse at her newly-dyed brunette hair—a major departure from the bleach-blonde style she's been sporting in recent months—the Stranger Things actress stripped down to the tiniest string bikini in a nostalgic print. Brown served up vacation style inspo in the golden hour bikini shoot, which showed her modeling a barely-there two-piece paisley swimsuit by the water. Posing with her hands on her forehead, the sunkissed star ensured her bikini body and visible tan lines were front and center in a blue floral patterned suit with white lace trimming her triangle bikini cups and the low-cut waistband of her tiny string bikini bottoms. In addition to embroidered crochet detailing on her barely-there bikini top, Brown's swimsuit also featured green beading in the front paired with a large vintage-inspired bronze pendant dangling down her toned midriff. The Electric State actress added some extra shine for her beachside photoshoot with a silver pearl choker, gold hoop earrings, and a pair of tortoiseshell aviator sunglasses. Brown kept her beauty simple, showing off a bronzed complexion, flushed cheeks, and a rosy pout. Fresh off her recent return to her natural brown hair, the British star pulled her dark locks back into a sleek wet bun. It was a contrasting style to a Bridgerton-coded updo she shared in a separate Instagram post on Friday. Brown paired a green sleeveless crop top covered in tiny purple flowers with a matching low-rise skirt that put her stomach on full display in a carousel, which she mysteriously captioned, 'Case closed.' Alongside photos that appeared to be from the filming of her upcoming Netflix film Enola Holmes 3, Brown showed off a middle-parted curly bun with two braids creating a headband along her hairline.
