Ramayana Glimpse Release Date: Nitesh Tiwari's Ramayana stars Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi, and Yash. The logo will be launched soon, confirming the release date.
The wait is almost over! Fans eagerly waiting for Nitesh Tiwari's Ramayana are in for a treat as the first official glimpse of the film is dropping soon. Starring Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Ram, Sai Pallavi as Sita, and Yash as Raavan, Ramayana is one of most-anticipated films of the year. According to reports, the makers will be unveiling the film's logo on July 3, 2025. It's more of an official announcement to kick things off and confirm the release plans.
The report also says that the teaser, which is about 3 minutes long, is already ready. But the makers don't plan to release it soon since Ramayana is still a year and a half away from hitting theatres.
Along with Ranbir, Sai, and Yash, Ramayana also features an impressive star cast. Sunny Deol will be seen as Hanuman, Ravi Dubey plays Laxman, Lara Dutta takes on the role of Kaikeyi, Rakul Preet Singh will be seen as Surpanakha, and Kajal Aggarwal plays Mandodari.
Ramayana is planned as a two-part film. The first part is set to release in theatres on Diwali 2026, followed by the second part on Diwali 2027. As per reports, the first instalment will end with the Sita Haran episode, though this hasn't been officially confirmed yet.
Last November, producer Namit Malhotra had announced the release date s, saying, 'More than a decade ago, I embarked on a noble quest to bring this epic that has ruled billions of hearts for over 5000 years to the big screen. And today, I am thrilled to see it taking shape beautifully as our teams work tirelessly with only one purpose: to present the most authentic, sacred, and visually stunning adaptation of our history, our truth, and our culture – our 2'RAMAYANA"– for people across the world. Join us as we fulfill our dream of bringing our greatest epic to life with pride and reverence… Part 1 in Diwali 2026 and Part 2 in Diwali 2027 From our entire Ramayana Family."
Namit also shared the first poster of the film. The poster featured an arrow, that oozes of magic and is coated with a golden glow. The poster reads, 'Namit Malhotra's Ramayana" along with the release date.
Check it out below:
The poster was released just weeks after KGF star Yash had confirmed he has joined the film to play the role of Raavan and fulfill the duties of a co-producer. The actor told The Hollywood Reporter India, 'If the character is treated like a character… if this doesn't happen today, then the film won't happen. To make a film with that kind of budget, you need those kinds of actors to come together." He further stated that he was drawn to the role of Ravana due to the character's complexity and depth, describing it as 'the most exciting character" he has been offered in his career.

This man used to sell sweets at shop, was given a big break by Madhubala, became Bollywood's famous...., he was...
Born on September 6, 1929, in pre-partition Lahore, Yash Johar grew up managing the family sweet shop post-Partition in Delhi. 'You just wanted your stomachs to be full,' he recalled of his modest upbringing. With nine siblings depending on whoever mattered most, his mother recognised his restlessness and supported his move to Mumbai to pursue his passion. Snapping a star into stardom In 1950, young Yash began working as a photographer for a news agency. His moment came on the set of Mughal-e-Azam, when Madhubala, charmed by his fluent English and confidence, permitted him to photograph her—and even gave him a personal tour of the set. This encounter opened the doors to the filmmaking world. Rising through the studio ranks Yash honed his craft at Sunil Dutt's Ajanta Arts in the early 1950s, assisting on films like Mujhe Jeene Do and Yeh Raste Hain Pyaar Ke. He then moved to Navketan Films, producing classics like Guide (1965), Jewel Thief, Prem Pujari, and Hare Rama Hare Krishna. His success with Guide cemented his place in the industry. Dharma is born In 1976, Johar fulfilled his largest cinematic ambition: founding Dharma Productions. Named to reflect his spiritual grounding, Dharma released its first hit, Dostana (1980), starring Amitabh Bachchan, Shatrughan Sinha, and Zeenat Aman. Although subsequent releases like Duniya, Agnipath, and Gumrah were moderate performers, Johar's lavish sets and emotive storytelling carved a unique niche. Legacy forged with his son Yash's true masterpiece was the dynasty he built with his son, Karan Johar. Together, they crafted blockbusters—Kuch Kuch Hota Hai (1998), Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham (2001), and Kal Ho Naa Ho (2003). The latter, Yash's final film, remains a cultural touchstone celebrated for its depth, values, and emotional resonance. A personal life as dramatic as his films In 1971, Yash married Heera Johar, sister of BR and Yash Chopra, legendary filmmakers. A story often told is how he proposed to her in front of icons like Dilip Kumar, Dev Anand, and Raj Kapoor. Yash passed away on June 26, 2004, at 74, after battling cancer and a chest infection. Under Karan's leadership, Dharma Productions ascended to its place as one of Bollywood's major powerhouses.
