Aussie woman's ‘joke' about survival infuriates men: ‘Rage bait'
Maddy Carty, 30, hosts Mads World, a conversational comedy podcast that explores dating, feminism, sexuality, and relationships.
During a lighthearted moment on the podcast, Ms. Carty asked which gender would survive better without the other.
'If all men or all women got deleted off the planet, which gender would fare better?' she asked.

Ms. Carty answered her own question and argued, 'Women just figure s–t out', while men are more random.
'If you send a man to the shops, he'll bring back the most random items, and you'll be like, 'Why did you buy that?'' she joked.
It was clearly not a serious moment, but when a reel of Ms. Carty's comments was posted on Instagram – it caused immediate offense.
While some people took Ms. Carty's comments as they were intended, as a joke, others got really riled up.
'Still time to delete this,' one warned.

'No matriarchy in history has ever survived,' another claimed.
'Who built the sofas you're sitting on? Who built the room you're in? Who originally found the power to charge your phones? Who designed those microphones you're using? Who made the platform you're posting on?' one man asked.
'Rage bait,' one said.
When Ms. Carty replied and said the joke wasn't 'that deep', the commentator hit back and claimed she must be 'on her period' because she seemed angry.
'There is no world that women enjoy without men! This level of delusion is extraordinary,' another man claimed.
'So funny … go back to the kitchen,' one man wrote.
'Clueless women,' one said.
'This is the most delusional thing I think I have ever heard,' someone else complained.
Some men got so riled up that they started making inappropriate comments about Ms. Carty's appearance and claiming she had a 'face for radio' among the comment chaos.

It wasn't just criticism.
Quite a few women jumped in to defend Ms. Carty and call out men for not taking it as a joke.
Someone said the men complaining are 'fragile little boys' and another argued that girls rule and boys drool.

'Keep telling the truth Queen,' another applauded.
Speaking to news.com.au, Ms. Carty said she was surprised by the backlash because she thought it was pretty clear she was kidding.
'I was shocked that some men took it so seriously. They clearly have some insecurities around not being able to provide,' she said.
'It's just a funny joke that's 0.001 per cent of a long podcast. People should just get over it.'

Love Island: Who is the TOWIE cast member Ben and Tommy both ‘kissed' at same event?
Love Island's Tommy Bradley and Ben Holbrough have confessed to kissing the same girl at the same event, so who is the mystery woman? While appearing on tonight's grand Love Island finale, the pair were interviewed about their relationships with the women they left the show with. Tommy confessed he and Lucy were no longer together, after he had kissed a woman at an event he went to. He explained: "I went to my first event, free bar, unlimited drinks. Half an hour, five blue lagoon cocktails. This girl came up to me." Host Maya Jama then asked if he and Lucy were exclusive at this point to which he said no they weren't before adding: "I went to an event and kissed someone." Tommy then clarified that it was "disrespectful" to Lucy and the pair are now just friends. Before his interview ended Tommy added that he "didn't remember" the kiss. Ben was then asked about his relationship status with Andrada, whom he left the Villa with. To this Ben began speaking and said: "I was at the same event [as Tommy]." Andrada then added: "with the same girl." The crowd reacted in shock with Ben and Tommy looking embarassed. So who is the mystery woman the pair both kissed at the same event? Here's what you need to know about her. Earlier this week it was revealed Ben and Andrada had split after pictures emerged of Ben holding hands with TOWIE star Dani Imbert at the event Ben had attended with Tommy. The pair were said to be very intimate during the evening, with a source telling The Sun: "There was instant attraction from the moment they met - they spent two hours kissing at the party it was all very intimate. It's clearly very much over with Andrada as Dani seemed to be the only thing on his mind." Given Ben's closeness to Dani, it's likely she is the same woman Tommy kissed at the event. Dani, 27, is best known for appearing on ITV's reality series TOWIE, having joined the show in 2021. She has over 125,000 followers on Instagram. Love Island is available for catchup on ITVX now

Savannah Chrisley slams 'vile' messages she's received since Trump pardoned her parents
Savannah Chrisley isn't staying quiet about the hate she's received online. The reality TV star took to Instagram to share messages she's been sent on social media after President Donald Trump pardoned her parents, Todd and Julie Chrisley. "Imagine saying such vile things to someone…" she wrote on Instagram stories while showing a screenshot of the messages. "disgusting maga pig," a user wrote to Savannah. "not having to work for anything in your life is crazyyyyy." Although Savannah has never mentioned anything about a pregnancy, the user also wrote: "hopefully you miscarry." Todd and Julie were both pardoned by President Donald Trump in May after being convicted on federal charges of bank fraud and tax evasion. They were sentenced to a combined 19 years behind bars. The "Chrisley Knows Best" stars walked out of prison after serving two and a half years. Savannah claimed Trump's pardon "literally came out of nowhere" while speaking to reporters on May 28. "I was in such shock and awe that the president himself took the time to tell me my family is coming back together," she said. In the first trailer for "The Chrisleys: Back to Reality," Todd and Julie's children were seen accusing their "own family members" of betrayal related to the 2022 conviction of the couple on bank fraud and tax evasion charges. "The prosecutor read the letter Lindsie wrote to the FBI. We're no longer family. Lose our last name," Savannah said to the camera. "I mean, your blood will screw you over, then a stranger definitely will," Grayson Chrisley added. Cameras have been filming the Chrisley family for the past three years as the story of their time behind bars unfolded. "Our household is completely divided. I told my parents I don't know if it can ever be repaired," Savannah said in the trailer. "Honestly." "I want people to know what actually went down with my family," Chase Chrisley said. "There's a score to be settled." The family's feud involving Lindsie first began in 2012, with Todd and Julie's daughter completely leaving "Chrisley Knows Best" in 2017. Lindsie has been outspoken about the damage the Chrisley name has brought to her over the years. According to People magazine, Lindsie touched on her ongoing estrangement with the couple on an episode of "Southern Tea" back in March. "The last time I visited my dad probably was... Was it the beginning of last year? I can't even honestly remember," Lindsie admitted. "[Nanny Faye and I] used to go together when they first went [to prison]," she said. "… I have never been to Lexington to visit Julie." "I have not seen my dad in quite some time, and I have had no contact," said Lindsie. "And that's all I'm going to say for that."
