Creamed corn and cool cans courtesy of northern Indiana's Burn 'Em Brewing
Driving the brews: The folks at Michigan City's Burn 'Em Brewing understand the power of a cool can, and all of their labels feature the distinct skull head designs of artist and musician Max Clarke.
Clark, who goes by the stage name Cut Worms, has made dozens of labels for the northern Indiana brewery.
Some of my personal favorites are the pro wrestling-themed Hopkick Dropkick and Cuke Nukem, a cucumber IPA that references a controversial video game character from the 90s.
Brew of the week: Kreamed Corn, a cream ale brewed with actual creamed corn and wheat malt that boasts a gnarly remix of Grant Wood's American Gothic for its label.
6% ABV.
19 IBU
My take: The creamed corn comes through loud and clear right away, providing a sweet aroma, a smooth mouthfeel and a malty taste. Bold, but very drinkable.
I see it working best as a standalone beer. The complex and full-bodied flavor means it runs the risk of overpowering whatever snack you pair it with.
Yes, but: If you don't like corn — or cream ales — this won't convert you. It doubles down on those elements to deliver an experience for fans of the aforementioned.
If you buy: A four-pack from Carmel's Niemann Harvest Market costs $12.

'Every game there's a new meme of me': Caitlin Clark on her battles with officials
Caitlin Clark has been getting into it with game officials for a long time. The Indiana Fever star joined Sue Bird and Megan Rapinoe on the "A Touch More" podcast during WNBA All-Star Game weekend for a half-hour conversation that included Clark's reaction to snapshots from her past. One included her battling for a ball during a high school soccer match. "I got a lot of yellow cards," Clark said. "In high school, they make you go to the bench for 15 minutes. It's like a timeout out when you're 10 (years old)." Re-live Caitlin Clark's rookie season with our commemorative book More recently, Clark got into an animated conversation with a referee during a Fever-Connecticut Sun game that prompted assistant coach Briann January to pull her to the bench. Another photo that elicited a laugh from the audience featured Clark sitting on the bench as refs sorted out an interaction between her and an opponent before. "I feel like every game there's a new meme of me," she said, adding with a laugh: "I thought I was tough." Fever's second half to-do list: Prioritize Caitlin Clark's health, find consistency, play fast Clark's on-court demeanor leads to misconceptions about her, she said. "People don't realize how goofy I actually am," she said, adding she provides comic relief in the locker room. "Once I step on the court I'm really fiery and I want to kill. Every moment that's not that, it's not serious. I have fun and I have a good time." Here's the full episode:

Was Kelsey Plum really ripping Caitlin Clark over All-Star moment? 3 theories
It's one of the more perplexing stories from WNBA All-Star weekend that left us all scratching our heads. After players all wore "Pay Us What You Owe Us" shirts in warmups on Saturday -- a shot at the league as collective bargaining agreement negotiations ramp up -- player's association VP Kelsey Plum talked about the shirts and how that effort came together that Saturday morning. It was in that recounting that she said this: "Not to tattletale, but zero members of Team [Caitlin] Clark were very present for that." Huh. What... what does that mean? Is that a shot at Caitlin Clark? At the players on the Fever star's All-Star team? We have no context yet. But let's break down some theories we have about this whole thing: Theory 1: Kelsey Plum was joking If this is a joke, it's kind of not funny, right? But it seems like the two have (jokingly, we think) thrown shade at each other in various ways. Check out this joke Clark made on Plum's Instagram: And this Clark trolling ended with a hug with Plum: And remember when Plum wanted Clark to be given a technical foul? So it could be a very badly delivered joke. Theory 2: Kelsey Plum needs to remind the players that they need a united front Maybe this wasn't meant for Caitlin Clark specifically. Maybe it was for the entire player's association, to give them a heads up that in order to get paid what they owe, they can't miss meetings to come up with messages. Theory 3: Caitlin Clark's team really didn't attend the meeting about All-Star t-shirts and Kelsey Plum had to call it out Which brings up more questions: if this really did happen, why did Team Clark miss the meeting? What was the communication breakdown? Did Clark et al not want to be a part of it? But they put on the t-shirts anyway? This is where we absolutely need Plum to clarify her comments. Hopefully she will and all this will be put behind the players as they fight for what they deserve in the next CBA.
