Between the Tate Modern and London Blackfriars Station, the Founder's Arms on the River Thames seems like an ordinary Fuller's pub.

I used AI to find me a cheap holiday – ChatGPT scored me seven nights in Spain with flights for £99 each

LOOKING for holiday packages can often seriously take the fun out of booking holidays - but AI can help save you time and money. Trawling website after website to find different 8 Start by asking ChatGPT what package holidays you want it to find Credit: Cyann Fielding So why not just cut out the middle man? ChatGPT can search thousands of sites, simultaneously and give you an answer in seconds. So I decided to put the The key with ChatGPT is to give clear instructions. Read more on travel deals And the best way to do this is to think about what you want from a holiday. Personally, I think it works best when you are flexible on when you go and where you will be going. So I asked the AI bot: "Find me the cheapest package holidays for two adults and two children under 12 years old in Europe in the next 60 days. Flights and hotel must be included." Initially, the bot gave me a few suggestions totalling around £1,000 each. Most read in News Travel I knew it could do better, so I added: "They need to be under £1,000." Not only did the result give me options for different places for under £1,000 for a family of four, I was also given some tips. 3 tips to help you get the cheapest flights when booking holidays 8 ChatGPT will add live URL links when prompted, with what to specifically search on each holiday platform Credit: cyann fielding For example, I was told that I then asked: "Can you add the live URL links." This prompt means that ChatGPT linked me straight to the sites where it was finding these deals and precisely how to find them on these sites. I was immediately impressed by the list as it was full of reputable holiday companies including Going through to the Thomas Cook site, I added the filters suggest - ' Turkey ' for destination, left the flights from 'anywhere' and the dates 'anytime', added two adults and two children under 12, and simply pressed search. 8 Once you go through to the different site, add the filters that ChatGPT suggests and sort by 'Price: low to high' Credit: cyann fielding The results were shocking. Admittedly, there are some flaws with the process – like I was suggested holidays beyond 60 days but it managed to find some within that time frame as little as £112 per person. For example, I selected the Sincerity Apart Hotel in The holiday would be from September 22 to September 30 and for £112 per person departing from London Luton with While the hotel itself might be basic, it still had a garden, lounge area, children's playground and outdoor pool . 8 One of the cheap packages, was seven nights in Turkey for £118 per person at the Leda Beach Hotel Credit: Thomas Cook Plus, the reviews from previous guests were good. After the added cost of ATOL protection (£10), I could book my seven-night holiday for £448 for the entire family. The only other hidden cost is luggage – whilst the fee includes a small bag, it doesn't include a When you search, if the cheapest option isn't your favourite - there will most likely be other options. For example, with my search, 31 different hotels appeared for under £150 per person. And other options, like Leda Beach Hotel in the Antalya Region also include 8 The Leda Beach Hotel is located just four minutes from the beach Credit: Thomas Cook This spot was also only a four-minute walk from the nearest beach, just seven miles from Aquapark and less than a mile from the city of Manavgat. Don't want to head to Turkey? Then that's fine, there are other options. Using Love Holidays, I added my filters and this time left the destination completely blank. I then filtered from low to high prices, and up came my options. Near the top, a seven-day holiday to Costa Dorada, Spain came up for October 4 to 11 flying from If you want to add checked luggage then it will be an additional £36.49 per bag, per journey. However, included in the price you do get a 15kg underseat bag, per person. 8 Alternatively, with Love Holidays yo could head to Colina da Lapa and Villas in Algarve, Portugal Credit: Love Holidays 8 The seven night break would cost just £119 per person Credit: Love Holidays Or how about Portugal? For seven nights, you could head to Colina da Lapa and Villas in Algarve between December 13 to 20 with Ryanair for £119 per person. So here is the full run-down on what to ask ChatGPT to get offers like these. How to use ChatGPT to find you a cheap holiday Firstly, ask ChatGPT: "Find me affordable package holidays in Europe, in the next 60 days, for two adults and two children aged under 12 years old. I visited the seaside town with the UK's best fish and chips – they're worth the price and it was like being in the Med

WITH the sun beating down, there is often nothing better than a leisurely beach stroll with a good portion of fish and chips after. And this weekend, I did just that - but in the seaside town with the best fish and chips in the country. 6 The UK's best fish and chip shop is located in Torquay, Devon - often dubbed the English Riviera Credit: Cyann Fielding 6 Opposite the spot is Torquay's marina and a long, stretching sandy beach Credit: Cyann Fielding 6 Pier Point has both a takeaway chippy and a sit-down restaurant Credit: Facebook Pier Point in Torquay, Devon was recently named as the UK's best fish and chip shop by the F The Fishermen's Mission charity fights poverty in UK fishing communities by providing support to fishermen and their families. And all of the fish sold at Pier Point Chippy, including cod, haddock and plaice, is MSC certified - which means it comes from well-managed, sustainable fisheries. The fish and chip shop was even named the best in the UK in Read more on travel inspo Describing the inside, The Times stated: "At sunset on a good day, streaks of orange fill the floor-to-ceiling windows that surround Pier Point, and you might as well be in "The restaurant is adjacent to the marina, with With my childhood home being close to the spot, I decided to see whether it lived up to the awards. The venue itself is split into two sections: a sit-down restaurant and a takeaway fish and chippy. Most read in News Travel And both sit right next to So instead of sitting at a table, I grabbed my portions and headed for the nearby pier to soak up the sun while enjoying my food. I visited the English Riviera and found delicious seafood festivals and hidden beaches Admittedly, Pier Point is on the pricier side. For three servings - a regular portion of haddock and chips, a regular portion of light cod and chips, and a regular portion of salt and pepper squid and chips plus a pot of curry sauce - it came to £38. After paying and walking to the pier, my expectations were already high. Despite the slightly steeper price, the portions were decent and we hadn't waited longer than five minutes for it all to be cooked up. Opening up the boxes, the aroma of hot, vinegary chips and crisp batter filled the air. The haddock itself was large and the batter was crisp and buttery. The cod similarly was a good size and cooked perfectly. The squid - which comes with a sauce of your choosing - was cooked just right, making it not too chewy. And if my dog could talk, I think he would agree the chips were super tasty - not too greasy and never feeling like 'just potato'. 6 Whilst it is on the pricier side, the portions are generous Credit: Cyann Fielding The fish also came with a slice of lemon each - a nice touch to add if you want it. So, was it worthy of the award? I'd say so. And the area surrounding the chippy makes it even better. If you choose to grab a portion from Pier Point, head onto the pier for a walk after to see beautiful views across the bay. Or head to the harbour to see some of the most glamourous boats and yachts around. I went to the little-known roadside diner that feels like being in Stranger Things – the food takes you back in time

STEPPING into the diner, a warm glow of burnt oranges, rustic reds and mellow yellows surrounded me, along with 70s-style decor of rattan lampshades with giant globe bulbs. It really did feel like entering the set of Netflix's hit TV show Stranger Things - yet I was actually in a roadside cafe in the UK. 10 Brightside diner features a 70s interior like it is part of the set for Stranger Things Credit: Cyann Fielding 10 Inside, there are warm oranges, yellows and reds as well as rattan lampshades Credit: Instagram 10 The menu offers a wide choice of pizzas, burgers, sandwiches and more Credit: Instagram Brightside in Exeter, Devon, feels like a retro Little Chef, an iconic motorway cafe chain that sadly stopped trading by the end of 2018. Even the toilets at Brightside felt like a fun throwback with avocado-coloured sinks set against a mustard yellow tile backdrop. I often skip past roadside cafes and restaurants for fear that the food will be poor and the prices will be high. But Brightside wasn't like this. Read more on travel The menu features an extensive range of options through morning, noon and night. I opted for the 'Hot Honey Fried Chicken Burger' (£14.95) and my parents opted for the 'Chicken Caesar' pizza (£13.95) and the 'Dirty Brisket Burger' (£16.45). Whilst we may not have had Eggo waffles (made popular by Stranger Things' Eleven), the dishes we did order hit the spot. My chicken burger with honey offered a great twist on normal flavours. Most read in News Travel And for the brisket burger it was even a winner with my dad who is quite picky when it comes to burgers. The pizza was a good size as well, and really felt value for money . Inside Elon Musk's Tesla diner of the future staffed by ROBOTS with drive-in movie screens & burgers in Cybertruck boxes Along with our food we tried out two of the diner's Summer '. Both mocktails cost £6 and were made with Ceder's non-alcoholic spirit. Pop Goes Summer had an extra layer of fun, with popping candy around the rim of the glass. As for Strawberry Smash, it was a great mix of strawberry, pineapple and lime. Moving onto dessert, we shared the 'Berry Ice Cream Sandwich' (£6.95) and a 'Banoffee Sundae' (£5.95). It might be just me, but I don't see banoffee desserts around much anymore, so this treat really did transport you back in time. When the bill came I was pleasantly surprised, as all of that came to around £68. The price was less than I had expected thanks to their Thursday offer that lets you buy a dessert for £1 alongside any adult main meal. 10 The diner is also dog friendly and has activities available for children Credit: Cyann Fielding 10 The desserts include a berry ice cream sandwich, which was a great childhood throwback Credit: Cyann Fielding 10 We tried the brisket burger and hot honey chicken burger which were great Credit: Cyann Fielding This wasn't the only great offer the diner had - on Tuesdays, you can buy one pizza get one free after 3pm. Outside the diner there is also a brightly coloured seating area, with large parasols so you can get some fresh air too. Dogs are welcome too, and there is plenty to keep the kids entertained with Brightside branded merch to peruse and a number of books available to borrow whilst you sit and eat. Whilst the diner isn't your typical American-style joint, Brightside definitely mixes the best of British 70s/80s culture with retro American diners. I personally think Eleven would love it... as well as everyone else in Hawkins.
