The USGv6 test program was launched back in 2008 to facilitate the adoption of IPv6 within the U.S. Government. The test program supports the reliable procurement of IPv6-capable networked IT products and services. The USGv6 Test Program is a comprehensive test program designed to ensure that network products comply with IPv6 specifications established by the Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF). Governments and enterprises are prioritizing IPv6 to future-proof their networks and meet the performance and security demands of modern applications.
'The University of New Hampshire Interoperability Labs has been a vital partner in the definition, evolution, and execution of the USGv6 Testing Program,' said Doug Montgomery, Manager of Internet Technologies Research at NIST. 'Providing standards-based conformance, interoperability, and functional testing covering over 1,000 distinct IPv6-enabled products has significantly benefited the networking industry as a whole and provided a vital tool to support the acquisition of IPv6 technologies by the Government.'
The UNH-IOL is recognized as a leading independent provider of testing and standards conformance services, playing a vital role in fostering innovation and compliance within the networking industry. Since 2008, it has established itself as a leader in IPv6 testing by collaborating closely with organizations such as NIST, the IPv6 Forum, and the IETF.
Additionally, the lab offers IOL INTACT ® software, which enhances development cycles by improving test readiness for testing under the USGv6 and IPv6 Ready Logo programs. IOL INTACT ensures that products meet stringent criteria for functionality, interoperability, and deployment readiness in IPv6 environments.

Big day for Ripple as RLUSD and XRP together trade up 72% originally appeared on TheStreet. Even though the Crypto Week proved to be historic for the digital assets industry, analysts believe that the GENIUS Act that deals with stablecoin regulation contains little immediate positive news for the price of XRP. On July 18, President Donald Trump signed the GENIUS Act into law. The legislation, which establishes a comprehensive federal framework for stablecoin payments that are backed 1:1 by U.S. dollars or Treasuries, has emerged at a time when XRP still remains in regulatory limbo. Whether XRP is a security or a commodity can only be established with certainty if the CLARITY Act, another crypto-related bill, becomes law. As of writing, the CLARITY Act is passed with a bipartisan vote of 294-134 in the the other hand, Ripple's strategic pivot to RLUSD comes at a time when stablecoins are dominating on-chain payments and institutional flows. Currently, with Circle's USDC and PayPal USD (PYUSD) leading the way in compliance and trust, Ripple aims to be viewed as a native and onshore liquidity provider. As per the most recent data from CoinMarketCap, Circle currently maintains a market capitalization of $56 billion, while PYUSD is at $865 million. RLUSD's market cap stood at $527 million after a rise in its 24-hour trading volume by 42.59%. However, trust in XRP remains solid. XRP was trading at $3.63 at press time, down only 5.81% from its all-time high seen seven years ago at $3.84. XRP's trading volume also sees an uptick of 30.77% in the last 24 hours. Trump targets EVs, but Tesla's regulatory credits cash cow lives on: Piper Sandler

-- Tesla's regulatory credits, often dubbed 'free money' for selling zero-emissions vehicles and reaping the rewards from lagging automakers, accounted for nearly all of its free cash flow last year. But with the Trump administration moving fast to unwind federal support for the EV and battery business, is this cash cow finally at risk? Not so fast, Piper Sandler analysts said in a recent note. They forecast that Tesla Inc (NASDAQ:TSLA) will still sustain its run-rate on automotive regulatory credits and the government new rules will likely take time to implement. 'We think the answer is no, at least not in 2025. We think that while it's true that the U.S. government is committed to rescinding financial support for the EV and battery industries, Tesla will still book around $3B in credits this year, followed by $2.3B in 2026,' the analysts said. While $3B would represent a noticeable drop from the $3.5 billion Tesla booked last year, an amount that represented roughly 100% of the company's 2024 free cash flow, it's hardly a wipeout. The decline reflects Piper's own reduction in 2026 estimates, not a collapse in the market for credits. 'This latter figure represents a modest reduction vs. our previous expectation, but the why, in our view, there's no need for drastic estimate revisions." While the U.S. government's reversal on EV support has rattled sentiment, the impact is likely to be overshadowed by more promising full self-driving headlines, the analysts suggest, pointing to new robo-taxi testing outside Austin, Texas, as evidence of Tesla's evolving growth narrative. 'In our view, these favorable FSD-related developments are likely to overshadow any/all negative commentary arising from lower 2025/2026 estimates," they added. For now, the analysts have left their $400 price target unchanged, even as their fiscal 2026 EPS estimate nudges down to $2.86 from $2.99, noting that the stock's rich valuation remains firmly intact, underpinned by the Tesla's efforts to lean harder into autonomy and AI in the years to come. Microsoft SharePoint attack: Officials issue warning about 'active exploitation'

Federal cybersecurity officials have issued a warning to Microsoft users about a security flaw allowing hackers to access to certain SharePoint systems. The U.S. Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) posted an alert on its website Sunday, July 20, saying it was aware of "active exploitation" of a security vulnerability that was allowing unauthorized access to on-site SharePoint servers. The "scope and impact" of the issue was still being assessed, CISA said in the notice posted July 20, but officials said the vulnerability "poses a risk" to organizations that house their own SharePoint servers. Microsoft, in an alert posted Saturday, July 19, said the vulnerability enables an 'authorized attacker to perform spoofing over a network,' a type of cyberattack in which an attacker attempts to trick a user or system into believing they are a trusted or known source. "The FBI is aware of the matter, and we are working closely with our federal government and private sector partners," a Microsoft spokesperson told USA TODAY Monday. SharePoint is used by government agencies and businesses in the U.S. and around the world, as reported by Reuters and the Washington Post, which first reported the attacks. It was not immediately known who was behind the attack, but a cybersecurity researcher told Reuters on Monday, July 21, it is likely the work of a single actor. "Based on the consistency of the tradecraft seen across observed attacks, the campaign launched on Friday appears to be a single actor," Rafe Pilling, Director of Threat Intelligence at Sophos, a British cybersecurity firm, told the outlet. "However, it's possible that this will quickly change." Markets news: US stocks open higher as investors eye more earnings and tariff news Microsoft SharePoint vulnerability In its alert about the ongoing attacks on SharePoint servers, Microsoft urged customers to install new security updates. The company said SharePoint Online in Microsoft 365, stored in the cloud, was not hit by the exploit. The attack is dubbed by experts as "zero day," because, officials said, it was a shock to cybersecurity researchers. Microsoft's stock price was mostly flat on Monday morning, July 21. 'Customers should apply these updates' Microsoft reported it issued recommendations to stop attackers from exploiting it. "Microsoft has released security updates that fully protect customers using SharePoint Subscription Edition and SharePoint 2019 against the risks posed by CVE-2025-53770, and CVE-2025-53771," the post reads. 'Customers should apply these updates immediately to ensure they're protected." To access Microsoft's link to the updates click here. USA TODAY has reached out to Microsoft for more information.
