How to download TRNSMT mobile tickets as thousands prepare for music spectacle

There will be no physical tickets for TRNSMT this year so get ahead of the curve and sort your mobile tickets now
Scotland is a nation of music lovers and it shows in the incredible offering of music events we have to show for ourselves this summer. This week alone, Kendrick Lamar, SZA, Billie Eilish, and Kneecap performed in Glasgow.
On the other side of the country, Edinburgh's Summer Sessions are soon to get underway with award-winning artist Sam Fender and global phenomenon Chappell Roan. But back here in Glasgow, we have TRNSMT to shout about.
The country's premier music festival takes place in the middle of Scotland's biggest city from July 11-13, where tens of thousands of revellers will enjoy a three-day, jam packed weekend of performances from world-class acts.
Among the headliners include 50 Cent, Biffy Clyro, Snow Patrol, while Wet Leg, The Script, Fontaines D.C. and Gracie Abrams will also serenade Scots. Talk about a line up. Lucky for attendees, TRNSMT kicks off in just one day.
But before all that, you'll want to make sure you have your tickets to hand.
Firstly, it's important to note that the only official ticket outlet for this event is Ticketmaster. No other agents are authorised to sell and any listing on an unauthorised site cannot be guaranteed to gain entry to the event.
What's more, TRNSMT this year is enforcing mobile tickets. All tickets will be digital only and accessible through the Ticketmaster app. You'll need a smartphone to download and display your ticket.
Tickets become available in the Ticketmaster app the week before the festival, so attendees should already have them by now.
Here's a step-by-step guide to downloading your TRNSMT ticket
How to download TRNSMT tickets
Download the Ticketmaster app: If you don't already have it, download the Ticketmaster UK app from your app store.
Log in to your account: Open the app and log in to the account you used to purchase your TRNSMT tickets.
Find your event: Navigate to "My Events" within the app and locate your TRNSMT order.
View your tickets: Tap "View Tickets" to see your mobile tickets.
Add to wallet (optional): For easy access, you can add your tickets to your mobile wallet (like Apple Wallet or Google Wallet).
Again, a reminder that there are no physical tickets for TRNSMT.
TRNSMT issued more key ticket advice on its website, stating: "This event will be using Ticketmaster's SafeTix technology to provide powerful fraud and counterfeit protection.
"Your barcode will constantly change and screenshots of barcodes will not work. You must show the barcode in the official TRNSMT app."
They went on: "Please make sure you check your tickets within the latest version of the TRNSMT app and are logged into the app before you arrive at the venue as mobile data reception can be limited."
Also, if you will be arriving at different times to the rest of your party, remember you can transfer their tickets from your Ticketmaster account to theirs.
Elsewhere, the weekend's forecast is in, and it looks like festival-goers will need to dig out the sun hats. Mercury levels are set to rise as high as 30C.
Glasgow is predicted to be hotter than Tenerife, so stay hydrated and slathered in sun cream as the city is hit with a mini heatwave. You can also find useful TRNSMT tips from one of our writers who has been to the event three times.
Aside from that, if you're thinking about how to get to and from the event, what items are banned from the grounds, or anything else, the Record has provided answers to the majority of these questions.

'I saw Billie Eilish at the O2 - I couldn't stop sobbing when she sang this song'

Billie Eilish is on the final stretch of her sold-out six-night run at London's O2 Arena. I managed to get some last-minute tickets, and even though I'm not a huge fan, this one song made me cry. To celebrate the success of her latest album, Hit Me Hard and Soft, Billie Eilish is currently on the UK leg of her tour, which kicked off on July 7 at the OVO Hydro in Glasgow. Now in London and in the final stages of her sold-out six-night run, I was lucky enough to be part of a crowd that cried, screamed and healed together. ‌ With over 124 million Instagram followers, nine Grammy wins and two Oscars, Billie Eilish is undeniably one of the biggest musicians of her generation. Her album Hit Me Hard and Soft debuted at number one in the UK, marking her biggest opening week in the country to date. It also follows the success of her previous two albums, Where We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go? And Happier Than Ever. ‌ ‌ I have to admit that I've never been a huge fan of Billie's music, nor did I think that I'd ever see her performing live. But let me tell you, this was the best concert that I've been to. It was the first time that I bawled my eyes out at the concert - and I wasn't ashamed of it. '95 minutes of happy tears' My best friend and I had an incredible view; we could see everything so clearly thanks to the stage design - Billie sang on a large box which was positioned in the centre of the arena, giving fans a good view no matter where they were seated. At 20:15 on the dot, she began the show with her hit song CHIHIRO. Billie herself said the show was about bonding with one another and forgetting about the problems outside of the arena, even if it was just for a short while. ‌ For more stories like this subscribe to our weekly newsletter, The Weekly Gulp, for a curated roundup of trending stories, poignant interviews, and viral lifestyle picks from The Mirror's Audience U35 team delivered straight to your inbox. ‌ Everybody loves her, and now I see why Throughout the show, she performed her biggest hits from her new and old albums, including LUNCH, NDA, Therefore I Am, WILDFLOWER, when the party's over, THE DINER, everything i wanted, BLUE, What Was I Made For?, Happier Than Ever, the iconic Guess (though sadly without Charli XCX), and even my all-time favourite song, BIRDS OF A FEATHER. That's when I completely lost composure and burst into happy tears. During the 95-minute show, I had goose bumps. She delivered an outstanding performance, proving why her career is so successful. Billie is definitely the kind of artist you have to witness at least once in your life. Her voice is so angelic that it stays with you. My experience at the concert also made me realise why everyone loves her so much. It was amazing - so many tears, smiles and the kind of therapy I didn't know I needed. It was an unforgettable and unpredictable night with my closest friend, where we sang our hearts out from the beginning until the end. Help us improve our content by completing the survey below. Chris Martin catches horrified couple on 'kiss cam' and jokes they're 'either having an affair or very shy' at Coldplay concert in Boston

Chris Martin caught a couple by surprise as he addressed the audience at Coldplay 's concert in Boston on Wednesday. As the frontman panned his 'kiss cam' around the crowd at Gillette Stadium, the pair looked horrified to be seen by thousands on the big screen. 'Oh look at these two! Oh what?' he exclaimed as they covered their faces and dived behind the barrier. In a video shared to TikTok, Chris joked: 'Either they're having an affair or they are just very shy!' The band are currently in the US as part of their record-breaking Music Of The Spheres World Tour. They will next play Maddison, Nashville and Miami before heading back to the Uk for a string of dates in August. Coldplay have topped the list of artist earnings from live concerts this year. The band has reportedly made an eye-watering £100million so far this year from their Spheres World Tour, which has pulled in £4.8million per show. They are considerably ahead of second place Shakira who has made £85million so far from her live performances. In third place are Kendrick Lamar and Sza who have made £73.91million while The Eagles are in fourth with £68.82million. Meanwhile, Coldplay frontman Chris quietly split from Dakota Johnson last month after eight years together. The duo, who first got together in 2017, and later became engaged pulled the plug in June—but according to an exclusive DailyMail source, a secret A-list insider is already working behind the scenes on a reunion. Chris sparked speculation with a cryptic shout-out to Dakota at Coldplay's Las Vegas show in June. 'Thank you so much everybody,' the Paradise singer said to the sold-out crowd at Allegiant Stadium, before unexpectedly referencing Johnson's latest film. 'Be kind to yourself, be kind to each other,' he said before adding, 'Don't forget to see Materialists! We love you!' in video shared by Deuxmoi. Reps for the pair have not officially confirmed their split. source said the actress 'held a flame for them to be together because she loved him so much and loved his kids so much.' The insider continued: 'Dakota is devastated that she isn't going to be around his kids as much anymore, but wants them to know that she is always there for them.' They added that there is a chance the pair may reconcile but 'right now, being separated will do wonders if they were to have any type of future together.' DailyMail first reported trouble between the pair in August 2024 but a rep later confirmed they were still together. The pair had a brief rumoured split in 2019 which was alleged to be over Chris pushing for them to have children, but they quickly got back together. He famously split from Paltrow the mother of his two children Apple, 21, and Moses, 19, in March 2014 after ten years of marriage.

French town withdraws Rock-En-Seine music festival funding over Kneecap booking

PARIS, July 17 (Reuters) - The municipal authority for the Paris suburb of Saint-Cloud, which hosts the annual Rock-en-Seine music festival, has decided to withdraw a 40,000 euro ($46,000) subsidy for the event due to its booking of Irish rap band Kneecap, it said on Thursday. The Belfast-based Kneecap, which raps in Irish and English, has drawn criticism because it has displayed pro-Palestine messages during gigs. It is scheduled to play on the final day of the Rock-en-Seine festival, which takes place from August 21 to August 24. In a statement late on Wednesday, the Saint-Cloud city hall said the money had been agreed before the final line-up of the festival was announced and that it had decided to withdraw the funding on July 3. The Saint-Cloud city said it respects the festival's programming freedom, and had not sought "to enter into any negotiations with a view to influencing the programming". "On the other hand it does not finance political action, nor demands, and even less calls to violence, such as calls to kill lawmakers, whatever their nationality," the statement said. Rock-en-Seine could not be immediately reached for comment. Kneecap member Liam Óg Ó hAnnaidh, who is known by his stage name Mo Chara, was charged in May with a terrorism offence for allegedly displaying a flag of Hezbollah, the Iranian-backed militant group that is proscribed as a terrorist organisation in Britain. He denies the offence and the band says its members do not support Hamas or Hezbollah. ($1 = 0.8627 euros)
