Missing man Gach Top found alive and well in small town 125km west of Alice Springs
Mr Top's father said his family had been told by members of the community there had been a sighting of his son in Hermannsburg.
Mr Top's mother and sister travelled to the small town where they later found him alive and well.
The ABC understands the 26-year-old is now on his way back to Alice Springs with his mother and sister.
Gach Top disappeared west of Alice Springs last Monday, with police and emergency services searching 500 square kilometres after his vehicle was discovered about 14.5 kilometres from town.
Authorities had suspended their search on Saturday night, handing the matter over to NT Police Southern Crime Division for further investigation, but his father David Kong confirmed on Monday evening that said Mr Top had been found alive and well at Hermannsburg.

NSW Police arrest two more in alleged $53m ‘ghost car' fraud scheme
Two more alleged fraudsters have been arrested over a 'highly sophisticated' fraud and money laundering syndicate operating across Sydney to the tune of approximately $53m. NSW Police began investigating the luxury 'ghost car' loan fraud scheme in January 2024 but now say the alleged scam ran much wider into large-scale personal, business and home loan fraud. Eight people had previously been charged over the scheme and remain before the courts, with the NSW Crime Commission having previously restrained $38 million in assets. However, on Monday, two more people were arrested in Gladesville – a 60-year-old man and 61-year-old woman. The haul brings the total amount seized to date as approximately $53 million in luxury goods and real estate. The investigation initially uncovered the syndicate was allegedly using stolen personal information to apply for loans through various financial companies to purchase luxury 'ghost cars' that did not exist. Last Wednesday, police raided 10 properties, seizing two Bentleys, a Ferrari 360, cash, a gun and two Tasers, body armour and drugs. Bing Li, one of two alleged ringleaders of the fraud scheme, was arrested at the Crown casino in Barangaroo last Thursday wearing a $6000 Louis Vuitton bomber jacket. The 38-year-old was charged with a long list of offences, including 87 counts of deception, forgery and proceeds of crime charges. Police will allege he is responsible for a $12.9m fraud. Mr Li will remain in custody on remand ahead of his next court appearance in September. Meanwhile, the second alleged ringleader, a 34-year-old man from Seaforth, faces 107 similar allegations. Among the charges are 87 knowingly deal with proceeds of crime allegations, 19 counts of dishonestly obtaining financial advantage by deception, and one count of participating in a criminal group. He was denied bail, and police allege he has committed a $4m fraud. Financial Crimes Squad Commander, Detective Superintendent Gordon Arbinja, said the work of investigators is far from over. 'Strike Force Myddleton has uncovered a deeply entrenched and highly organised criminal enterprise operating across multiple financial sectors. While we've made significant progress, our work is far from over,' he said on Tuesday. 'The focus now shifts to identifying and dismantling the professional facilitators enabling this syndicate – particularly those operating within the accounting, financial services, and taxation industries. 'These individuals play a critical role in legitimising fraudulent activity, and we will continue to pursue them.'

Monash University teacher charged after allegedly showing child abuse material during lecture
A former judge and lecturer at a top Australian university has been charged after he allegedly accidentally showed child abuse material to students during a class. Justice Alan Boutlon, 74, was nearing the end of a human rights lecture at Monash University's Melbourne CBD campus when the alleged incident happened on February 5. It was reported to Victoria Police's Sexual Offence and Child Abuse Investigation Team, whose detectives spent months probing the matter. Police searched Mr Boulton's home in the beachside inner Melbourne suburb of Middle Park where they seized a number of electronic items. Detectives also flew to Sydney to search another property in the city's affluent eastern suburbs and took electronic devices as part of the investigation. A police spokeswoman confirmed Mr Boulton was charged with one count of possessing child abuse material under the Commonwealth Offence and two of the same under the Crimes Act. Mr Boulton has also been suspended by the university and removed from teaching duties after the incident in February. In a statement to a Monash spokesman said the university was made aware of the alleged incident after it happened and reported it to police. 'We continue to support the ongoing investigation. The safety and wellbeing of our students, staff and broader community remains our highest priority,' the spokesman said. Mr Boulton, an Officer of the order of Australia recipient in 2002, was a senior fellow at the university and taught dozens of students about international labour law. Students in the class, where the alleged incident took place, said some of their peers were shocked to see what was on the screens. 'You obviously don't expect when you're in class to see something like that. I had one female friend who was quite disturbed by what they'd seen,' one student told Seven News. Monash said it continued to offer support services to affected students. Mr Boulton graduated from the University of Sydney and in 1979 became the first legal officer for the Australian Council of Trade Unions. He was previously the deputy president and then senior deputy president of the Fair Work Commission, from 1989 to 2015. The former justice also helped draft modern labour laws overseas in the Philippines, Indonesia and East Timor. Police said they are not seeking anyone else in their investigation. Mr Boulton is set to appear at Melbourne Magistrates' Court on Thursday.

Peter Sean Buckley defence to argue ex had a tendency to spontaneous violence in interpersonal relationships
The bikini model ex-girlfriend of a high profile automotive chain boss accused of stalking and assault 'set up' her former partner and sought to extort him, his defence will argue. Ultra Tune boss Peter Sean Buckley faced Melbourne Magistrates Court on Tuesday as part of a long-running trial over allegations he stalked and assaulted his ex-girlfriend Jennifer Cruz Cole, who previously worked as one of his company's controversial 'rubber girls'. Mr Buckley was first charged in 2020 after Ms Cole accused him of 'punching her in the face 10 times', but his defence lawyers are set to argue that she had a history of inciting violent incidents and was attempting to extort Mr Buckley. Three separate incidents from 31 July 2018, 23 October 2018 and 7 January 2019 will be the basis for Mr Buckley's defence team, led by Dermott Dann KC. The defence will argue that this tendency supports Mr Buckley's narrative around an alleged assault at Crown Casino in January 2020 wherein he claimed that he was part of a set-up orchestrated by Ms Cole to extort him to the tune of millions of dollars. A covert recording was made by Ms Cole in a hotel room which allegedly caught Mr Buckley hitting and choking Ms Cole. 'We say that, that in fact was a set-up so to speak, perpetrated by Ms Cole for the purposes of extortion,' Mr Dann said. Defence will argue that Mr Buckley noticed the phone and attempted to grab it, then they claim she 'falsely' said she was being struck and she instead 'assaults him' before he tried to douse the phone in water. Magistrate Malcolm Thomas said that the tendency evidence could make the 'fanciful' narrative presented in Mr Buckley's defence seem 'less fanciful'. Mr Buckley faces one stalking charge after a second charge was dropped on Monday, and also faces charges including 'make threat to kill', 'common law assault' and 'maintain a listening device'. He has pleaded not guilty to the charges. His co-accused, Wade D'Andrea, also appeared in court for two charges, one for stalking another person and the other for maintaining a listening device. Ms Cole was a Ultra Tune 'rubber girl' and appeared in racy ads for the company that featured women in skin-tight outfits, including one alongside Pamela Anderson. Ultra Tune has more than 270 franchises nationwide and turns over $220m each year. Mr Buckley will reappear in court on Wednesday.
