Ve Mahiya Song: Ibrahim Ali Khan-Starrer Sarzameen's New Track Out
Here you can check out the song's video:
Directed by Kayoze Irani, the film stars Prithviraj Sukumaran as Vijay Menon--a man torn between a father's love and a soldier's duty, Kajol as Meher--a mother who fights against all odds to keep her family intact, and Ibrahim Ali Khan as Harman--a vulnerable young man caught at a crossroads.
Ibrahim Ali, in a press note, expressed his experience, saying, "Sarzameen is an emotional milestone I'll carry forever. It challenged me in ways I never imagined, not just as an actor, but as a person too. My character is torn between love, loyalty, and truth, and navigating that emotional spectrum was the most intense learning curve. It was a treasure trove to see Kajol Ma'am and Prithviraj Sir in action.
They are so gracious and effortless in their art, and this pushed me to put my best foot forward. Kayoze too pushed me in all the right ways--he demanded depth, stillness, and vulnerability. I have put my heart and soul into Sarzameen and I hope the audiences enjoy watching the film. Stories like Sarzameen deserve to be seen and felt by everyone, everywhere."
Sarzameen is produced by Hiroo Yash Johar, Karan Johar, Adar Poonawalla, and Apoorva Mehta under the banner of Dharma Productions. It will be out on JioHotstar on July 25.

Dhadak 2 Box Office Collection Day 4: Karan Johar's Film Struggles Amid Saiyaara Craze
Last Updated: Dhadak 2 delves into themes of caste politics, social injustice and the personal struggles of individuals trying to navigate rigid societal norms. Dhadak 2, the romantic drama directed by Shazia Iqbal and starring Siddhant Chaturvedi and Triptii Dimri, was released on August 1, 2025. The film received positive reviews from both critics and audiences, with particular praise for its powerful performances and compelling storytelling. However, despite strong word of mouth, Dhadak 2 appears to be facing challenges at the box office. Dhadak 2 Monday Collection According to the film minted Rs 1.40 crore on Monday, taking the film's total 4-day collection to Rs 12.80 crore. This was the film's lowest collection for a day since its release. Backed by Karan Johar's Dharma Productions, the film saw minimal growth in numbers over the weekend but failed to pass the crucial Monday test. It opened with Rs 3.50 crore on Day 1, followed by Rs 3.75 crore and Rs 4.15 crore on Day 2 and Day 3, respectively. Dhadak 2's low collection could be a result of its box office clash with Ajay Devgn's comedy-entertainer Son of Sardaar 2 and the previous releases, Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda's Saiyaara, as well as the animated mythological film Mahavatar Narsimha. However, the numbers might see a significant jump today, Tuesday, due to the Rs 99 ticket offer at several big theatres across the country. Dhadak 2 Star Cast And Storyline Apart from Siddhant and Triptii, the film also features Zakir Hussain, Saurabh Sachdeva, Deeksha Joshi and Vipin Sharma in pivotal roles Dhadak 2 follows the story of Neelesh (Siddhant Chaturvedi), a lower-caste law student, and Vidhi (Triptii Dimri), an upper-caste girl, as their inter-caste love story faces societal backlash and discrimination. The film explores themes of caste politics, injustice, and the struggles faced by individuals navigating societal norms. It is a remake of the Tamil film Pariyerum Perumal. The film was originally slated for release in November 2024 but faced multiple delays, reportedly due to issues with the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC). These concerns were recently resolved after the filmmakers agreed to implement extensive cuts and modifications, paving the way for its eventual release. Siddhant Chaturvedi And Triptii Dimri's Work Front Siddhant Chaturvedi will next be seen in the romantic drama Dil Ka Darwaza Khol Na Darling alongside Wamiqa Gabbi. Meanwhile, Triptii Dimri is set to star in an upcoming untitled action thriller directed by Vishal Bhardwaj, opposite Shahid Kapoor. She also has Spirit, directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, in the pipeline. First Published: Disclaimer: Comments reflect users' views, not News18's. Please keep discussions respectful and constructive. Vivek Agnihotri calls Animal director Sandeep Reddy Vanga his alter-ego & fearless, says he is showing truth through his films: ‘Does your society respect women?'
Vivek Agnihotri praised Karan Johar, Anurag Kashyap and Sandeep Reddy Vanga for their contribution to the cinema and also defended the latter's way of storytelling. read more Filmmaker Vivek Agnihotri, who is currently gearing up for the release of The Delhi Files and is known for expressing his thoughts in the most unfiltered way possible, spoke about three popular filmmakers - Karan Johar, Anurag Kashyap and Sandeep Reddy Vanga in an appreciative way. The Kashmir Files helmer praised the trio for their contributions to cinema and also defended Sandeep Reddy Vanga's storytelling approach. 'I really want to praise Karan Johar because he changed the commerciability of commercial cinema. He took it to a different scale. And just like how I am the brand ambassador of my films, he is the ambassador of his films. He is the face of Dharma Productions," Vivek told Humans of Bombay. STORY CONTINUES BELOW THIS AD 'Earlier, he used to be introduced as a fashion diva and anchor. But, he is a personality to look up to. Secondly, he took his father's business from a boutique production house to a mass production house. He has also given breaks to several talented film directors—Ayan Mukerji, Shashank Khaitan. He has also given break to several stars and star kids. He has created shows for television and OTT. He even changed the scale of award shows by being an anchor. He has done a lot of great things," he added. Crediting Anurag Kashyap for reviving the independent cinema, Vivek said, 'Before him, it was Shyam Benegal, Govind Nihalani and Prakash Jha. But they too turned into commercial directors. But Anurag has fought a war and he has given break to several small-town boys and girls. He has instilled confidence in people whose war was with English. Today, they believe even they are capable of doing something in life. Several talented people have come from Anurag—both filmmakers, and actors." 'Despite all these achievements, I personally believe he has not exploited his full potential. Maybe due to his own complexities, he is yet to exploit his full potential. He took a flight, up and quick, and then there was no conclusion to that. He couldn't take his own success to a logical conclusion," he added. The filmmaker then spoke about Sandeep Reddy Vanga and called the Kabir Singh and Animal director his alter ego. 'Sandeep Reddy Vanga is more like my alter ego in the industry. Just like me he speaks fearlessly," Vivek shared. He also defended Vanga's vision and storytelling and added, 'People question Sandeep Reddy Vanga for toxic masculinity, but what is really happening in the society? Isn't it the truth? Does your society respect women? It is just his storytelling. He is showing the world to the people from his point of view." STORY CONTINUES BELOW THIS AD The Tashkent Files helmer later drew comparisons of his films with Shekhar Kapur's Bandit Queen and said, 'Many asked me 'Why did you not show the film from the other point of view?' How can I do that? Why will I show the film from a terrorist's point of view? And how will I even make an attempt at it when I don't even know how they see the world? Even Shekhar Kapur was questioned when he made Bandit Queen from Phoolan Devi's perspective. But, over a period of time, people realised that Bandit Queen was right. After Pahalgam attack, people realised Kashmir Files was right. I am not claiming that I believe in Vanga. I am just saying he has the right to tell stories from his point of view. People who are abusing him, are also using their right. But, at the end of the day, he is laughing looking at his bank." STORY CONTINUES BELOW THIS AD
