Caitlyn Jenner bonds with her late manager Sophia Hutchins' mother in the wake of her tragic ATV death at 29
And on Saturday morning, Jenner was spotted finding comfort with Sophia's mother while out together in Malibu.
Hutchins, like Jenner, was transgender and cited the father-of-six as the inspiration for coming out in college at Pepperdine University in 2016.
Jenner looked somber as she strode ahead of Sophia's mother a day after she declined to speak about her late friend.
Caitlyn wore a long-sleeved blue T-shirt with grey pants and a visor while Sophia's mom wore a long-sleeved green T-shirt and knee-length white shorts.
Sophia wasn't just Jenner's manager, she was her friend and lived in the Olympian's Malibu mansion with her.
Jenner looked somber in Malibu on Friday, marking the first time she had been seen in public since the tragedy - before exclusively telling DailyMail.com she was going through 'tough times' navigating the loss of Hutchins.
Putting on a brave face, she was seen waving at photographers before heading back to her $3.5million Malibu mansion.
The star later said 'I don't want to talk' about the tragedy.
In 2017, Hutchins moved into Jenner's home and began working as the star's manager, taking over the role from Jenner's ex-wife Kris Jenner, 69, after their 2015 divorce.
Hutchins was in Jenner's inner circle for over a decade after she came out as a transgender woman in 2016.
Hutchins met Caitlyn that year and appeared in multiple episodes of the television documentary series I Am Cait, a spin-off of Keeping Up With The Kardashians.
Despite living under one roof, Hutchins previously told The New York Times that they 'were never romantically involved', insisting it was all about work and friendship.
'Caitlyn is a parent to me. I have said that a million times. It is a parental, familial relationship,' Sophia said.
In 2020, Sophia posed for an online ad campaign for Kim Kardashian's highly successful clothing line SKIMS.
Sophia was particularly close to Kris Jenner, speaking to her regularly, and Hutchins also had a good relationship with Jenner's daughters Kendall, 29, and Kylie, 27. The siblings once gave Sophia a stunning heart-shaped diamond necklace for Christmas.
'I'm on good terms with all the family, but I'm closest with Kris, Kim, Kylie and Kendall', Sophia said.
Sophia was formerly Scott Hutchins and began her transition while attending college, but previously revealed that she had identified as female at a young age.
As a student at Pepperdine, she began to undergo certain medical procedures as well as hormone treatments and hair removal.
The businesswoman had seen a therapist - who helped aid in the decision to transition but seeing Jenner's 20/20 interview where the star announced her own transition put everything into full swing.
During an interview with her school newspaper in 2016, Hutchins reflected, 'I've always had the question of "Do I want to transition from male to female?"
'I never thought a lot about doing it until I got into college because I was able to break away from my family and started to establish my own identity.'
She had also given credit to her time at school 'to deal with a lot of issues that had always been there.'
And after watching Caitlyn's interview, Sophia explained that it, 'made it so much more real for [her], like normal and successful people do this and people are okay when they do it.'
Hutchins ended up taking some time off of school in order to complete her gender transition.
When she was at the age of 15, Hutchins remembered telling a friend that she was female for the first time.
'It's almost like it just came out. I didn't even mean to let it out since I had been so used to holding it in and brushing it under the rug.'
In 2019 during an appearance on Jim Breslo's Hidden Truth Show, Sophia also got candid about her gender identity.
The media personality remembered making comments about her gender dysmorphia to her parents as young as age five.
After her transition, Hutchins stated, 'I truly feel my spirit, my soul, my mind is exactly the same, I am just so much more comfortable physically.'
'Before I transitioned I felt like "Yeah, I'm definitely just a girl, but I'm in the wrong body." And I felt trapped in that body.'
She added, 'And I needed to have the hormones to change the body, for me, the surgeries to change the body.
'But for me, that's what I wanted to do, and that's what made me ultimately so at peace.'

LeBron James gives strong two-word verdict on son Bronny's NBA Summer League performance for the Lakers
LeBron James sent out a two-word message after his son - and teammate - Bronny put in a dominant display in his 2025 Summer League debut. Bronny took to the floor on Sunday night and scored 10 points in 11 minutes against the Miami Heat - including a stunning one-handed dunk in the first quarter. A clip of the incident went viral on social media as fans watched the second-year guard steal the ball off the Heat before transitioning into a fast break. The Lakers star drove down the court before launching himself into the air - just past the free throw line - and performing the impressive dunk. It was a moment that left some fans in awe and excited about the season ahead for Bronny - while dad LeBron clearly shared that sentiment. The NBA legend posted an Instagram story with a screenshot of the dunk along with the caption: 'Bronny showtime'. The 20-year-old heads into the new season after making 27 outings in his rookie season for the Lakers - where he averaged 2.3 points in 6.7 minutes per game. In his G League performances, however, Bronny averaged 21.9 points, 5.5 assists and 5.1 rebounds from his 11 games. The youngster, recently, offered a coy response when asked about the future of his father - who will become an unrestricted free agent in 2026. Last week, LeBron officially opted into his $52.6million player option for the upcoming season but, by doing so, it raised questions about his future beyond 2025-26. When asked about LeBron's future, Bronny said: 'I said, 'I have no idea what you're talking about. 'I don´t really pay attention to that stuff. There´s a lot of stuff going around that I don´t pay attention to.' 'We don´t really talk about that much, but I think when stuff like that does come up, he just tells me to not worry about it, not even pay attention to it. 'Just lock in to what you have going on right now, and that's what's going to get me better and keep me focused. I think it's good that he tells me not to pay attention to that stuff.'

Real reason global superstar Lauryn Hill performed to an almost EMPTY stadium at 3.30AM after video goes viral
Lauryn Hill was a surprise late addition to the Essence Fest lineup in New Orleans, and her performance was just as late as the announcement. The annual festival kicked off this Friday at the Superdome in New Orleans, with the festival announcing on Wednesday that the hip-hop icon, 50, would be performing on Friday at roughly midnight. That didn't happen, though, due to a number of factors, with Hill ultimately taking to the stage at 2:31 AM local time, wrapping her up set at 3:37 AM, via It was one of the latest performances in the 31-year history of Essence Fest, with the Superdome - which has a capacity of 83,000 - nearly empty when she took the stage. Many fans took to social media to bash Hill - who is notorious for showing up hours late to her performances However, many others went online to defend Hill, since it seems this time her ultra-late performance was not her fault. View this post on Instagram A post shared by The Times-Picayune | (@nolanews) The schedule for Friday's Evening Concert Series was supposed to start with Psyrin at 7:10 PM, followed by Lucky Dave at 7:30 and Coco Jones at 8:00. Glorilla was slated for 8:30, followed by The Isley Brothers at 9:15, Babyface at 10:10, Maxwell at 11:15 and Lauryn Hill closing out the night at 12:35 AM. That schedule never stuck, with the whole night starting late, with reports stating that Glorilla finished her set at 10 PM, 45 minutes after the next act, The Isley Brothers, were supposed to start theirs. Maxwell's set was supposed to start at 11:15 PM but didn't start until 12:55 AM, with reports adding that Maxwell's stage was cleared around 2:04 AM, though Hill didn't take the stage until 2:31 AM, wrapping up at 3:37 AM. Nola News shared video from the largely-empty Superdome with Hill on stage, while others like TikTok user MorganD.2 3 shared a video from her seat in the stadium as well. Hill has developed a reputation for going on stage much later than she was originally scheduled to, which many fans mentioned on social media. De Lewis (@shotbyde) said, 'Lauryn Hill is a scam artist and I don't know why yall keep supporting her.' Brit Williams (@DrBritWilliams) quote-retweeted another tweet that said her set ended at 3:37 AM, adding, 'Stop. Booking. Her.' Maxwell's set was supposed to start at 11:15 PM but didn't start until 12:55 AM, with reports adding that Maxwell's stage was cleared around 2:04 AM, though Hill didn't take the stage until 2:31 AM, wrapping up at 3:37 AM. However, others defended Hill, including Eric Lamont (@EricUnedited), who quote-retweeted Brit's tweet, clarifying what happened. 'Or, let's post what actually happened. It's very easy to get Lauryn Hill trending with false narratives. Let's provide the facts. The entire festival was pushed back. This was literally not her fault. Me on the other hand, I would have gone home. Contract or not. Bye,' Lamont tweeted. Another fan dubbed @tallyohhh added, 'I feel so bad for everybody making fun of Lauryn Hill performing late at Essence Festival, because it wasn't even her fault. I read that the performance schedule was off by like an hour or two and pushed everything back. I'm impressed that she still performed that late! I've seen her live before, I'm sure it was a dope show.' Others like Tony Cardasco (@TonyDasco) mentioned Hill was, 'a couple of hours late in LA and late at Brooklyn Bowl.' Still, some like Joe Arrigo (@JoeArrigo_) defended Hill, stating, 'this is a bit misleading because the essence festival was actually running behind schedule, which played a role in her coming on late, this one wasn't on her all the way. I have some friends that are/were there, so it's not 100% on Lauryn Hill (this time).' Some poked fun at the situation like @YoungQDogg, who joked, 'At this point Lauryn Hill just shows up whenever she wants doesn't she.' Jerry Boese (@JerryBoese) added, 'Lauryn Hill late ? That's never happened lol.' Popular Loner (@AlyxzandreaZnay) added, 'Wtf do Lauryn Hill be doing to be soo dam late to her shows? Im genuinely curious.'
