Atlas Critical Minerals Reports Strong Initial Rare Earth and Titanium Results from Alto do Paranaiba Project
Belo Horizonte, Brazil--(Newsfile Corp. - July 17, 2025) - Atlas Critical Minerals Corporation (OTCQB: JUPGF) ("Atlas Critical Minerals" or the "Company") is pleased to report strong initial rare earth and titanium results from its Alto do Paranaíba Project (the "Project"), located in the western part of state of Minas Gerais, Brazil. The project demonstrates significant potential for near-surface rare earth and titanium mineralization within the "Mata da Corda" Group geological sequence. SGS Canada, Inc. ("SGS") was retained to prepare technical reports under U.S. Regulation S-K 1300. In particular, Marc-Antoine Laporte and Yann Camus from SGS are Qualified Persons for the Project. SGS is well-known as a global leader in testing, inspection and certification of mineral properties and projects.
The Project comprises mineral rights totaling more than 25,000 hectares, strategically positioned within a major volcano-sedimentary geological sequence. The extensive Project area has been divided into three exploration blocks for ease of exploration activities as shown in Figure 1.

Average TREO grades by block demonstrate consistent mineralization: Block 1 averaged 3,157 ppm TREO; Block 2 averaged 2,312 ppm TREO; and Block 3 averaged 4,906 ppm TREO. Notably, Block 3 showed high Nd+Pr averages up to 1,108ppm.
Geological Setting and Mineralization Model
The Project area benefits from intense laterization processes typical of Brazil's tropical climate, which has led to enrichment of titanium and rare earth elements within the weathered profile. The mineralized sequence occurs within extensively oxidized zones of the Mata da Corda Group, with drilling reaching maximum depths of approximately 21 meters.
The strong positive correlation between rare earth elements and titanium, combined with the sequence's intense magnetism, makes the geological unit highly responsive to geophysical surveys, facilitating future exploration targeting.

Exclusive-Rio Tinto weighs sale of titanium business, sources say
By Clara Denina, Ernest Scheyder and Melanie Burton (Reuters) -Rio Tinto is considering a possible sale of its titanium unit due to weak prices and low returns, three sources said, just as incoming CEO Simon Trott will weigh up a restructuring of the world's second-largest miner when he takes over next month. Titanium, used to make paints, cosmetics and food colouring, is also a vital ingredient in jet engine parts, missile casings, rocket components, submarines and naval vessels because of its strength, corrosion resistance and lightweight properties. China, the world's biggest producer and consumer of titanium dioxide, has expanded its production to capture over half the global market over the past decade, according to data from the U.S. Geological Survey. China wields significant pricing power, which has knock-on effects for Western miners, including on margins. Against this backdrop, Rio Tinto has been evaluating whether the titanium business still has a place in its portfolio. How to exit it could be one of Trott's first decisions, the three sources familiar with matter said. Rio Tinto declined to comment. Rio would not be the first to exit titanium. Bowing to investor pressure, DuPont in 2013 said it would spin off its own titanium dioxide business. In the company's portfolio, titanium falls under the Minerals business, headed by Sinead Kaufman. This division also includes borates, used in cleaning products, as well as the Iron Ore Company of Canada, diamonds, and the Jadar lithium project in Serbia. The Minerals division reported an underlying EBITDA of $1.1 billion in 2024, 24% lower than in 2023, the company's financial report shows. Iron and titanium operations in South Africa and Canada accounted for more than half. Trott, who takes over as the company's CEO on August 25, has headed the iron ore division since 2021. There is an acknowledgement at the company that internal costs, such as staffing, are excessive, sources have told Reuters, so cost-cutting is expected. "There's going to be a middle management clean out," said one of the sources, who was not authorised to speak publicly. Part of Trott's pitch and vision for Rio includes a focus on streamlining the structure of the company's core businesses iron ore, copper, lithium and aluminium, the sources said. Australia and possibly Canada's iron ore operations, and the upcoming Simandou project in Guinea are likely to be grouped together, as well as the recently acquired U.S. lithium company Arcadium and its other lithium projects and investments, they added. Rio is scheduled to release its half-year results on July 30. Brazil's XP aims to double client assets under custody by 2033
By Paula Laier SAO PAULO (Reuters) -Brazilian financial services platform XP Inc aims to double its client assets under custody by 2033 from the current 1.3 trillion reais ($235.65 billion), the firm's CEO told Reuters. XP, whose shares are listed on Nasdaq since 2019, was founded in the early 2000s as an independent financial adviser and has challenged the leading position of Brazil's largest banks in the sector. In an interview on Wednesday, Chief Executive Thiago Maffra said XP expects to reach the goal by expanding the scope of its investment advisors, a key part of its business, who currently total 18,000. Most of them are part of external smaller, independent advisory firms that operate through XP's platform. "From now on, we want the advisors to be truly great wealth planners, able to help clients with much more than just an investment portfolio," Maffra said, adding they should also focus on topics such as succession strategies and tax planning. "That's the main weapon we are going to use to double our AuC (assets under custody) by 2033," said Maffra, who took over as CEO in 2021 replacing founder Guilherme Benchimol, currently the chairman of XP's board of directors. Keurig Dr. Pepper earnings beat estimates as energy drinks shine, but coffee inflation lurks
Highly caffeinated energy drinks and a Gatorade rival helped Keurig Dr. Pepper (KDP) concoct a solid earnings report on Thursday. The maker of Ghost and C4 energy drinks, and Electrolit hydration products topped analyst estimates for sales and profit in the second quarter. Sales in its US beverages segment rose 10.5% from the prior year, with operating profits were up 8%. Profits for the segment were held back in part by inflationary pressures. The company's coffee business — which houses Keurig pods and brewers — missed analyst sales estimates as price increases were pushed through to help offset higher costs. Operating profit for the segment increased 2%. "Today's dynamic environment puts a premium on operational excellence, which we are demonstrating while pushing ahead on our multi-year strategic agenda. Though the back half will present new challenges, we are on track to deliver our 2025 outlook and are confident in the long-term value creation ahead," Keurig Dr. Pepper CEO Tim Cofer said in a statement on the earnings release. Investors are paying extra attention to KDP's coffee business, given its exposure to geopolitical tensions. President Trump has announced plans to levy a 50% tariff on all goods from Brazil. The country is the world's largest coffee producer and the source of about 30% of US coffee imports. That threatens to add more fuel to the already runaway train that coffee prices have become. Roasted coffee prices surged 12.7% in June compared to a year earlier, according to data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics. Instant coffee saw a 16.3% increase. The retail price for a pound of ground coffee last month was $8.13, up about $1 since January. Meanwhile, tariffs on China raise production costs for hardware such as Keurig coffee machines, analysts warn. The economic noise has weighed on KDP's stock. Shares are up 4.3% year to date, lagging the S&P 500's (^GSPC) 8.1% gain. Some on the Street think the economic factors are well understood on KDP and that investors under-appreciate top line potential. "Longer-term, we see potential earnings upside from buybacks, possible further M&A, and look forward to seeing how the firm creates value through GHOST and Bloom, as well as through partnerships with C4, La Colombe, and Electrolit," EvercoreISI analyst Robert Ottenstein said. Earnings analysis: Beats, mostly Net sales: +7.2% year over year to $4.16 billion vs. estimate of $4.13 billion US refreshment beverages segment sales: +10.5% to $2.7 billion vs. $2.66 billion estimate US coffee segment sales: -0.2% to $900 million vs. $920.3 million estimate Adjusted EPS: +11.1% year over year to $0.49 vs. estimate of $0.48 What else caught our attention: Full-year forward guidance Net sales: up mid-single-digits year over year (reiterated) Adjusted EPS: up high-single-digits (reiterated) Brian Sozzi is Yahoo Finance's Executive Editor and a member of Yahoo Finance's editorial leadership team.
