Charlotte Tilbury cult 'magic' cream slashed to 'unheard of' €42 in huge sale
Charlotte Tilbury's cult-favourite moisturiser has just had a rare drop in price, and Irish beauty fans are wasting no time snapping it up. Known for its luxurious formulas and celebrity following, Charlotte Tilbury's skincare line rarely sees major discounts - especially on bestsellers.
The iconic Charlotte's Magic Cream, hailed by fans as "the best moisturiser ever", is now half price as part of the brand's major summer sale. Normally, two 50ml refill jars would cost a hefty €175 - but right now, shoppers can pick up two of these refill tubs for just €85, making each pot just €42.50 - which is practically unheard of for Charlotte Tilbury.
Described by Charlotte herself as "magic skin", the cream is a "skin revival moisturiser" that "retexturises, smooths, firms, plumps and primes the look of skin in one step". Thanks to the cream's popularity, a wave of potential dupes has hit the market - including a £6 (€7) version from Penneys that's been gaining attention online. Beauty fan @beautyglowgirl tested Penneys PS Pro Hydration Cream with SPF 15 against the original Magic Cream and found both felt luxurious under makeup.
While she noted that Tilbury's version had a "strong fragrance" and left "a bit of a film", the Penneys version was "ultra-hydrating", fragrance-free and "sinks in better". Despite liking the budget option "a lot", she admitted the two creams are "definitely not the same".
Meanwhile on Amazon, the Revolution Beauty London Pro Miracle Cream has also been hailed by reviewers as a potential dupe for Charlotte's Magic Cream - and costs just €8.98
One shopper said: "I don't know if this is a dupe or not for the Charlotte Tilbury Magic cream but this did wonders for my super dry skin and made my foundation look perfect." Another claimed: "Its a dupe for charlotte Tilbury, i love it."
A third reviewer agreed it was a decent alternative, but added a humorous downside: "Miracle cream is actually a decent dupe for CT - except for one thing - it smells like Drakkar Noir from the 80's boy scents with an overtone of Giorgio for the Beverly Hills older ladies-- BLECH!!!"
