Our dogs do the funniest things at times. Canines can take something simple like wanting to fluff a blanket and turn it into an archeological dig and it's hilarious. Our fur babies obviously don't have easy access to items like we do and sometimes have to get creative when they need something.
Zebby the Golden Retriever is a perfect example of the proverb, "Necessity is the mother of invention." The canine cutie clearly enjoys laying his head down when he rests and opted for some interesting pillow substitutes. Some choices didn't look too comfortable.
The TikTok from @zebbythegolden explained the video's purpose as "Rating things my Golden Retriever has used as a pillow".
First up was the bathroom floor, where Zebby as a puppy was completely crashed out, flat-bodied, on the cold tile. While it looked a little bare, the pooch was adorable.
Score: 12/10. Comment: Cutest ever.
Next up was... the wall. With that choice came very interesting positioning on Zebby's part. He was lying down on the floor, tilted his head back and rested his full chin and neck along the wall. That had to be a tough stretch.
Score: 2/10. Comment: Looks very uncomfy.
The third pillow for the pup was Zebby's fluffy snuggle puppy stuffed animal. This definitely looked more cozy than the wall.
Score: 10/10. Comment: Adorable.
Then Zebby was awkwardly propped up against a table leg, yet his face seemed to be without support. This "pillow" was labeled "Air".
Score: 1/10. Comment: His face says it video concluded with Zebby asleep near a (non-lit) fireplace. The side of his head was scrunched up against a large black speaker. It didn't look very restful but the Golden made it work. The TikTok poster gave the pup props for creativity.
Score: 5/10. Comment: Innovative but a little hard.
Zebby is obviously very resourceful and will use what's at his disposal to get the rest he needs. The precious pooch accepted whatever items were around and utilized them as a makeshift pillow.
Golden Retrievers are known for their warmth and intelligence, yet inventive needs to be added to the list!
