Sydney Sweeney 'plans to launch lingerie line'
Sydney Sweeney is reportedly set to launch her own lingerie line. The 27-year-old actress' latest business venture has received backing from Amazon billionaire Jeff Bezos and his new wife, Lauren Sanchez, who have "invested" in new brand. A source told Us Weekly that Sydney's new lingerie line is launching "very soon". The blonde beauty - who has recently become one of the most sought-after actresses in Hollywood - has actually been working on the lingerie line for "for the last year" and it's now close to launching. The insider explained: "This has been a huge project for her and something she's been working on for the last year." Sydney has enjoyed a meteoric rise in recent years, starring in TV shows such as Euphoria and The Handmaid's Tale, while she's also worked with a host of big-name brands, including Laneige and Frankies Bikinis. The actress - who ended her engagement to Jonathan Davino earlier this year - has also been tipped to play a Bond girl in the next 007 movie, with director Denis Villeneuve reportedly keen to hire Sydney for his upcoming film. A source recently told The Sun on Sunday newspaper: "Sydney is the top name on the casting sheet for Bond. "Denis believes she is hugely talented, as well as having an alluring appeal to younger generations, vital in modernising the franchise. "They've hung out together a lot and he has admired her stratospheric rise. "Plus Sydney has the quality of being athletic and able to perform physical scenes, as well as being feminine and following in the legacy of the Bond girls." Denis was unveiled as the director of the next Bond film last month and he vowed to "honour the tradition" of the character, who will be played by a new actor after Daniel Craig walked away from the movie franchise. The filmmaker said in a statement: "Some of my earliest movie-going memories are connected to 007. I grew up watching James Bond films with my father, ever since Dr No with Sean Connery. "To me, he's sacred territory. I intend to honour the tradition and open the path for many new missions to come."

Yes. That's indisputably huge. Now if you think this is a hoax, especially given the poor public reception of her whole bath water soap mini-scandal, it would do a lot to explain what she was doing — much to her fans' dismay — at the Jeff Bezos-Lauren Sanchez wedding in Venice, late last June, an appearance which by the way, seems to have nearly gotten her cancelled. Not just this, Sydney also happens to be friends with Dune director Denis Villeneuve who will also be helming the Bond reboot. Now those are two very powerful nods to have in your favour, making the rumour sound more and more believable. Now considering Sydney to take on the next Bond girl gig, doesn't at the very least, sound unimaginable. "Excellent business decision", read a comment and it's hard to ignore, considering the kind of hold she has over the public. What motivates it however, isn't necessarily her acting chops or diversity in content. Since she broke out onto the scene with Euphoria, then White Lotus and eventually Hollywood releases, many of which she happens to be co-producing herself, her appearance has more often than not been the subject of hyper-sexualisation, which by a very sad proxy, takes away from the merit of her work. But then again, consciously signing on to sell bar soaps carrying a drop of your bath water (whatever be the motivation behind such a decision) does reinforce the box a sizeable section of the audience seems to want to force her into. Either which way, first reactions from the internet as far as Sydney being their next Bond girl are pretty dismal and racked against the actor. Comments expressing the sentiment read, "It will sell tickets but it will hinder the quality of the film…", "The only Bond movie I'll never watch 👏", "And the series is DEAD", "I don't know why, but she just feels wrong!", "Nothing about her gives Bond girl 😩" and "Nope. Not even close to classy enough.", to quote a few. Fans as always, are of course throwing up their own top picks to play the iconic role. "Bring back Ana de Armas! She got like 5 seconds in the last film and was great" and "I much rather see beautiful women who are more Bond girl like Jodie Turner-Smith, Alicia Vikander, hailee steinfeld, Taylor Russell, kelsey merritt, Sonoya Mizuno to name a few. Sydney Sweeney doesn't strike me as a Bond girl", read a few options. Now as far as the main starring role goes, there still seems to be no clarity on who Daniel Craig will be passing on the 007 baton to. Katy plays a fellow boxer. Sweeney packed on 30 pounds for the role. Sweeney told W magazine earlier this year, 'My body was completely different. I didn't fit in any of my clothes. I'm usually a size 23 in jeans, and I was wearing a size 27. My body got bigger. It was crazy. She added, 'But it was amazing: I was so strong, like crazy strong'. Martin boxed professionally from 1989 to 2012 and became the world champion in the super welterweight division in 2009. Jonathan Bailey, Jacob Elordi, Tom Holland, and Timothée Chalamet have also been mentioned in reports. It is not yet known when a decision will be finalised on who our next 007 is, but it's been claimed Amazon is getting closer by the day.
