Jahid leads list of 55 award recipients
SABAH Rural Development Minister Datuk Jahid Jahim led a list of 55 recipients of the 'Seri Panglima Darjah Kinabalu' (SPDK) award, Saturday.
Two other individuals also received the SPDK, namely member of the Special Advisory Body to the Federal Minister of Finance (Prime Minister), Datuk Ahmad Fuad Md Ali, and entrepreneur Datuk Lim Yu Ming. Some 33 others were conferred the 'Panglima Gemilang Darjah Kinabalu' (PGDK) award, which carries the title "Datuk."

Among them were Senator Anna Bell @ Suzieana Perian, Labuan Member of Parliament Dr Suhaili Abdul Rahman, Kapayan Assemblywoman Jannie Lasimbang and journalist Emin @ Emin Madi.
Other PGDK recipients included Commander of the 13th Malaysian Infantry Brigade, Brigadier General Jagjit Singh A/L Indar Singh; Treasurer of Universiti Malaysia Sabah (UMS), Badrul Hisham Ismail; and Dean of the Centre for the Promotion of Knowledge and Language at UMS, Professor Dr Ismail Ali.

Also listed among PGDK awardees were Kota Kinabalu High Court Judge Alexander Siew How Wai, Head of the Special Branch of the Sabah Police Contingent Headquarters SAC Abdul Rahman Ishak, Director of Sabah Parks Dr Maklarin Lakim and State Health Department Director Dr Maria Suleiman.
For the 'Justice of the Peace' (JP) award, five individuals were honoured, including lawyer Josephine Wan-Wen Hadikusumo, Sabah MACC Director Datuk S. Karunanithy a/l Y. Subbiah and Deputy Rector of Academic Affairs at UiTM Sabah Branch, Prof Ts Dr Imbarine Bujang.

Five others received the 'Ahli Setia Darjah Kinabalu' (ASDK) award, including Dean of the Faculty of Science and Technology at UMS, Professor Dr Jualang Gansau, and lecturer at the same faculty, Professor Dr Justin Sentian.
Four individuals received the 'Ahli Darjah Kinabalu (ADK)' award, including two Syariah High Court judges, Ade Rizal Pahlevi Mohd Zen and Surayah Ramlee. Three others were awarded the Bintang Setia Kinabalu (BSK) medal.
