Patna: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday virtually addressed 'Rozgar Mela' (job fair) organised on railway premises in Patna, Hajipur, Samastipur and Gaya under the jurisdiction of East Central Railway (ECR). Through video conferencing, he distributed appointment letters to candidates appointed across railways and other central govt departments. According to ECR's chief public relations officer (CPRO) Saraswati Chandra, altogether 347 appointment letters were distributed among the new recruits, out of which 215 were from railways under group C and D categories. Nationally, this was part of the 15th Rozgar Mela initiative where over51,000 appointment letters were distributed across 47 cities simultaneously via videoconferencing by the PM, he said. The event aligned with PM Modi's vision under the Rozgar Mela scheme to deliver on the commitment of providing meaningful public-sector employment to youth across the country, said Samastipur DRM Vinay Srivastava. New Delhi [India], July 12 (ANI): Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to distribute more than 51,000 appointment letters to newly appointed youth in various government departments and organisations via video conferencing at the 16th edition of Rozgar Mela. According to the Prime Minister's Office (PMO), the event will start at around 11 am, and Prime Minister Modi will also address the appointees on the occasion. Rozgar Mela is a step towards the fulfilment of the Prime Minister's commitment to accord the highest priority to employment generation. It will play a significant role in providing meaningful opportunities to the youth for their empowerment and participation in nation-building. So far, more than 10 lakh appointment letters have been issued under the Rozgar Mela initiative across the country. The 16th edition of the employment drive will be conducted at 47 locations across India. The recruitments are taking place across Central Government Ministries and Departments. The new recruits, selected from across the country, will be joining the Ministry of Railways, the Ministry of Home Affairs, the Department of Posts, the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, the Department of Financial Services, the Ministry of Labour and Employment, among other departments and ministries. Following this development, Prime Minister Modi took to X and emphasised that the government is determined to enhance youth participation in building a 'Viksit and Aatmnirbhar Bharat.' In a social media post on X, the Prime Minister wrote, 'We are determined to enhance the participation of young friends in building a developed and self-reliant India. In this series, tomorrow, July 12, at 11 AM, I will participate in another employment fair through video conferencing, where thousands of youths will be handed appointment letters.' In the previous edition held in April, the Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC) had issued 6,677 appointment letters during the 15th Rozgar Mela, reinforcing its commitment to strengthening the government workforce and supporting the vision of a developed India. Of the total appointment letters distributed, 1,805 were handed over physically at various designated venues, while 4,872 were issued virtually. Held simultaneously at 47 locations nationwide, this edition of the Rozgar Mela facilitated large-scale recruitments across multiple Ministries and Departments of the Central Government. All of these 47 locations across the country were connected with the Mela during the Prime Minister's address through Video Conferencing mode. (ANI)

Visakhapatnam: Union Aviation Minister K Rammohan Naidu exhorted the youth from North Andhra districts that it's time to contribute to the development of the society and nation building. Addressing the gathering at the 15th Rozgar Mela organised in Visakhapatnam on Saturday, the Union Minister stated that North Andhra has all the resources and opportunities to get developed. Expressing confidence, Rammohan Naidu said that candidates from this part of the country have better understanding of the problems of this region and are good at offering solutions as well. Later, speaking to the media, after handing over offer letters to the joining candidates, the Union Minister mentioned that it is a visionary initiative of the Prime Minister Narendra Modi to make youth part of building 'Viksit Bharat.' All efforts are in place to align the youth's energy and their innovative ideas in nation building, he emphasised. Also, to encourage the aspiring youths, the timeline process from notification to the issues of appointment letters has been brought down to one year. Since the inception of Rozgar Melas, over 10 lakh youths have received their appointment letters, he informed. He appealed to the candidates to be role models to the rest of the youth. The new recruits, selected from across the country, will be joining the central government in various ministries, departments. Organised at 47 different parts of the country, the 15th Rozgar Mela aided in providing offer letters to 51,236 total new recruits. Of them, the Union Civil Aviation Minister gave away appointment letters to 278 candidates in Visakhapatnam.
