ANP sounds alarm over autonomy threat

The Awami National Party (ANP) has announced the convening of a National Jirga in Peshawar on July 26 to address the deteriorating law and order situation, rising incidents of terrorism and target killings, and the party's opposition to the proposed 26th Constitutional Amendment. Speaking at a press conference at Bacha Khan Markaz following a meeting of the party's provincial cabinet, ANP Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa President Mian Iftikhar Hussain said that elders from all walks of life, particularly those from the merged tribal districts, would be invited to the Jirga. He warned that the delay in the National Finance Commission (NFC) Award, attempts to seize control of natural resources, and efforts to roll back the 18th and 25th Constitutional Amendments are all part of a larger conspiracy to undermine provincial autonomy. "This land belongs to our forefathers, and as citizens of this country, we have every right to demand control over our resources—even if some don't like it," said Mian Iftikhar. He added that new laws aimed at controlling mineral wealth, revival of the tribal Jirga system, and attacks on the 18th Amendment are deliberate efforts to push the tribal areas back into underdevelopment. Calling for justice, he demanded the formation of a judicial commission headed by a Supreme Court judge to investigate the assassination of Maulana Khanzeb, with representation from the martyr's family in the commission. "No one has been arrested so far. If facts are withheld or manipulated, the ANP will expose the truth to the public," he warned. Mian Iftikhar said the National Jirga would formulate a strategy on how to effectively raise these issues at the national level. He stressed that ANP's struggle is not personal, but a fight for peace, ideology, and sovereignty. "We have sacrificed over 1,200 lives. Our workers were targeted, and still, we remained silent. But now, we will not stay silent anymore," he asserted. Calling for political unity, he said it is time for all parties to come together—not for votes or power, but for the future of coming generations.

ANP to convene 'Pakhtun Jirga', APC

The Awami National Party (ANP) has announced it will convene a Pakhtun Jirga in Peshawar and an All Parties Conference (APC) in Islamabad over the deteriorating law and order situation in the province, target killings, minerals bill, provincial rights and the possible abolition of the 18th Amendment. ANP President Aimal Wali Khan held the state responsible for the murder of senior party leader Maulana Khan Zeb in Bajaur. He said he will write a letter to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif to investigate the murder. A think-tank meeting of ANP was chaired by Aimal Wali Khan on Tuesday. The meeting discussed the law and order situation. After the meeting, The ANP chief addressed a press conference along with former chief minister Haider Hoti, Haji Ghulam Ahmad Bilour and other members of the think-tank. They said ANP's central secretary for Ulema Affairs Maulana Khan Zeb was killed in a tragic incident in Bajaur. The incident occurred at a place, which is considered as the stronghold of state institutions. Surprisingly, not only did the killers disappear immediately after the incident, all the CCTV cameras installed at the location also vanished. The people of Bajaur believe that state actors are involved in the murder, the ANP leaders noted. They demanded that a powerful judicial commission headed by the Chief Justice of Pakistan be formed if the state truly has no role in the recent killing. They also insisted to include a member of Maulana Khanzeb's family in the proposed commission to ensure transparency and justice for the family. The ANP leaders said their workers are being killed, but the culprits are not being traced. Neither Taliban nor ISIS has claimed responsibility for Maulana Khanzeb's murder, they added, asking if both the entities are denying their role, who is the killer then? They demanded that the name and face of the person involved in the murder be brought to light. They indicated to approach international forums if justice is not provided within the country. They announced that ANP will convene a Pakhtun Jirga in Peshawar and an All Parties Conference (APC) in Islamabad, with dates to be revealed soon. "It is a delusion of those who think they can force us to retreat from the 18th or 25th Constitutional Amendments through intimidation, terrorism and killing," said the ANP leaders. They added that the entire nation knows who is behind terrorism from Waziristan to Bajaur and what their objectives are. They warned of street agitation if a judicial commission is not formed to investigate the murder. "We won't budge up a little even if we are thrown out of parliament or deleted from Form 45 and Form 47," the ANP leaders vowed. The ANP has proven through its opposition to the Mines and Minerals Bill that no law can be passed without its consent, they highlighted. They also pointed out that ANP leaders are being tempted to join other parties with promises of greener pastures.

5MW Standard Container Design: Trina Hydrogen's Innovative Hydrogen Equipment Supports Global Energy Transition

SHANGHAI, June 11, 2025 /CNW/ — On June 11, the 18th (2025) International Solar Photovoltaic and Smart Energy (Shanghai) Conference & Exhibition was held in Shanghai. During this event, Trina Green Hydrogen released three types of green hydrogen equipment to the global audience, showcasing the company's value-creation capabilities in the global hydrogen energy industry. Trina Green Hydrogen's newly launched megawatt-scale PEM (Proton Exchange Membrane) electrolyzer features a new generation of PEM membrane electrode materials, ensuring high-pressure safe operation of the electrolyzer. The hydrogen concentration in the oxygen stream remains below 600 ppm across the full power range. Under a rated current density of 30,000 A/㎡, the DC power consumption is less than 4.3 kWh/Nm³. The new catalyst technology reduces the use of precious metal iridium by 80%, with a theoretical catalyst lifespan of over 15 years and a voltage decay rate of just 1.3 μV/h. Cost analysis shows that the equipment cost can be reduced by 20%. Trina Green Hydrogen's 2000 Nm³/h alkaline electrolyzer is based on the second-generation of the TQ (Tianqing) series, which offers high stability and efficiency. It adopts innovative electrode materials and an optimized electrolyzer structure. At a current density of 4000 A/㎡, the DC power consumption is less than 4.3 kWh/Nm³, reaching international Tier 1 energy efficiency standards. Trina Green Hydrogen's megawatt-scale containerized hydrogen production system can produce up to 1000 Nm³/h of hydrogen per unit. Each unit integrates the electrolyzer, BOP (Balance of Plant) system, control cabinet, rectifier cabinet, water system, and other components within a standard container. The modular design allows for rapid assembly. Containers are connected via flexible hoses, breaking the dependence on pipe installation. The standardized design reduces transportation time, costs, and delivery cycles by over 50%. Design features such as a 'suspended roof' and 'sky-and-earth gates' expand operational space, enable natural ventilation, and ensure system safety. As renewable energy costs decline and electrolyzer efficiency improves, green hydrogen will become more competitive. Trina Green Hydrogen will continue to invest in R&D to enhance product performance, lifespan, and stability—providing lasting momentum for the hydrogen-powered world of the future.

What's happening at the Delaware beaches on first week in June

It's the first week of June at the Delaware beaches and that's enough already with the comfortably cool temperatures! We're ready to be so hot we forget we ever saw "Jaws" and spend more time in the Atlantic Ocean than on land. To walk around the beach towns in swimsuits. To be in dire need of a rainbow snow cone. Plan your summer fun: Welcome to our 2025 Delaware Summer Guide Cooler temperatures and rain may have contributed to the seeming "slowness" at the Delaware beaches over the last two weekends. Traffic on Coastal Highway has been strangely sparse at times, but in the coming days, the sun will shine and the mercury will rise. Here's what to know if you'll be at the Delaware beaches this week. Every day this week is expected to be sunny with temperatures reaching 80 degrees, until June 7. There's a 50% chance of showers that day. The National Weather Service predicts June 8 to be partly sunny. Weather predictions can and will change. Check the forecast before heading out. The 19th annual Seaside Craft Show will be held on the Bethany Beach boardwalk June 7 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. It's free to attend. The 18th annual Mid-Atlantic Sea Glass & Coastal Arts Festival will take place from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. June 7 and 8. The grounds of the Lewes Historical Society on Shipcarpenter Street will be filled with over 70 vendors. Visit for info. Local favorites The Funsters will play the Lewes ferry grounds June 8 from 3 to 7 p.m. The show benefits the Greater Lewes Foundation's Fourth Street Preserve efforts. Tickets are $35. Get them at Coastal Delaware Restaurant Week continues through June 6, featuring discounts and prix-fixe menus in Lewes, Rehoboth and Dewey Beach. Visit for a list of participants. Funland in Rehoboth Beach has been open since mid-May. Jungle Jim's Waterpark in Rehoboth is open on Saturdays and Sundays from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. until June 14, when it will be open daily. Check the Thunder Lagoon Waterpark Facebook page for weekend hours in Fenwick Island. Whether or not Midway Speedpark's White Water Mountain opens depends on the weather. Most beach towns are now hosting free events several times a week, including farmer's markets, movies and concerts. Check your town's webpage for more information. Delaware beaches: All about the new Rehoboth Beach Patrol Headquarters on the boardwalk The past few weekends have been blissfully uneventful in terms of crime, though we have seen several vehicles stuck on the beach already. Here's how not to do that. Rehoboth Beach, Dewey Beach, Bethany Beach and Fenwick Island all have teen curfews now. Those under 18 can't be in public places or businesses between 11 p.m. and 5 a.m., except in Fenwick, where it's midnight to 6 a.m. There are some exceptions, like for those going to and from work. Surf-fishing reservations are required on Delaware's drive-on beaches on weekends and holidays throughout the summer. Find out everything you need to know here. With the next full moon approaching (June 11), you're going to be seeing more and more horseshoe crabs on the Delaware beaches. They are harmless (the tail is for moving, not defense) and super important environmentally. If you see one flipped on its back, gently flip it over by its side. Diamondback terrapins also are in the area at this time of year. In the bays especially, look for their little heads on top of the water. Keep an eye out for them on roads near beaches. If you see one in the road, you can pick it up by the middle of its shell and help it across in the direction it was going. Don't move it any further. If you get super lucky, you might see newly hatched diamondback terrapins on the beach, making their way to the water for the first time. As always, don't forget to pay for parking, or better yet, take the DART bus. Need to know: Your 2025 guide to parking at the Delaware beaches Shannon Marvel McNaught reports on southern Delaware and beyond. Reach her at smcnaught@ or on Facebook.
