New signage seen around Liberty Park, Highmark Amphitheater takes new name
The new sponsor for the amphitheater at Liberty Park has put up new signage around the park. The Port Authority and Erie Events are now working alongside Rebich Investments in a three-year agreement. Oliver's Beer Garden set to reopen Thursday The venue will now be called the 'Rebich Investments Amphitheater.' President Todd Rebich said it's a privilege to be a local sponsor. Love to laugh? Check out the 2025 Flagship City Comedy Festival lineup 'The offerings Erie has in both sports and entertainment is amazing for a small city. As far as I'm concerned this is one of Erie's biggest assets, and I really think it's one of the most underused and underknown assets. So I think it's a big opportunity for the Port Authority, Erie Events and myself to really bring attention to Erie, and hopefully we can do that,' said Rebich. New Waldameer ride ‘Time Twister' in process of being built
Waldameer Park is in the process of assembling their newest ride this week, which will be called the Time Twister. The new attraction finds its home next to the 'Whacky Shack' where the 'Spider,' which was taken down in the off-season, once sat. To celebrate 75 years, Art's Bakery hosts four-day anniversary event Parts of the new ride will continue to arrive throughout the week. It's a project that has been in the works for about a year now. Love to laugh? Check out the 2025 Flagship City Comedy Festival lineup 'It's not as spinny and dizzying as maybe the Spider that used to be there. That feeling though, is really neat, the near misses that you get. It's kind of like a vertical scrambler, I like to call it. The near misses, the spinning action, you're going to get some airtime as you're coming down. I think it's going to be a really great, thrilling family ride,' said Brian Gorman, COO of Waldameer. To celebrate 75 years, Art's Bakery hosts four-day anniversary event
A well-known local bakery is marking 75 sweet years of serving the community. Beginning on Thursday, April 24, Art's Bakery is having a four-day birthday celebration. Oliver's Beer Garden set to reopen Thursday The shop is having festivities at both their Millcreek and Harborcreek locations, including promotions, treats and a chance to win prizes. The sales manager said it's an honor to continue Art's legacy. Love to laugh? Check out the 2025 Flagship City Comedy Festival lineup 'Art himself has a lot of help from people, whether it came to the floors, just building up the place, and making sure people knew it existed, and it just never stopped growing. Community is all we've ever needed, and it's the reason why we're able to be in Harborcreek. So thank you for giving us a reason to be at 75 years for being in Harborcreek and hopefully continue growing. It's all thanks to community,' said Taylor Warren, sales manager for Art's Bakery.
