Newsweek reached out to MARTA (Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority) via an online form on Tuesday for comment. The Context Beyoncé is currently wrapping up her Cowboy Carter Tour. It began in April in Los Angeles following the release of her record-breaking Cowboy Carter album in 2024. The "Texas Hold 'Em" singer, 43, announced the news one day after the 2025 Grammy Awards, where Cowboy Carter was named Album of the Year and Best Country Album. "COWBOY CARTER TOUR 2025," she wrote on social media at the time. What To Know Beyoncé had just wrapped her four-day stint in Atlanta on Monday at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium when the incident took place shortly after midnight. Witnesses recalled crowds rushing to leave the venue, according to Fox 5 Atlanta, and MARTA officials told the outlet that a "stampede" occurred on the escalator at the nearby Vine City Station. When someone began screaming and running, the escalator sped up before coming to a sudden stop, forcing people to fall into one another. Authorities said that one person had broken their ankle and seven more were taken to the hospital with minor injuries, per FOX 5 Atlanta. People were also seen on stretchers and wheelchairs. While they were eating, two suitcases were stolen from their 2024 Jeep Wagoneer rental car. The 911 call was released by Atlanta news station WSB-TV. "Someone broke into my car," Grant told the dispatcher. "I was parked in a garage while I went to a restaurant. But they stole, like my computers and everything, but it has the tracker on it." "They have my computers, and it's really, really important information in there," he added. "I work with someone who's like of a high status, and I really need the, um, my computer and everything." The theft was captured on camera, and an arrest warrant was issued, the Associated Press reported. What People Are Saying The Atlanta Police Department alerted drivers of car break-ins on Facebook earlier this month: "We know quick stops can turn into costly mistakes. It only takes seconds for a thief to spot valuables and break in. Take your bags, phone, and anything important with you every time you leave your car. Don't give criminals an easy win." Shakira may have an amazing career, but she says her boys, Sasha and Milan, mean "everything to me" The "Hips Don't Lie" singer opened up about the emotional high point during her show, where she's singing a ballad she wrote for her children, to BBC, describing it as "precious" The mom of two welcomed her son Milan in January 2013, followed by her son Sasha in January 2015Shakira may have a great career, but her boys mean "everything" to her. The "Hips Don't Lie" singer, 48, spoke with BBC about an emotional high point in her show, which comes while she's singing "Acróstico." Shakira wrote the ballad for her children, Sasha, 10, and Milan, 12, as a promise to them that she'd stay strong amid the split from their father and her ex-partner, Gerard Piqué. "My heart melts every time I see them on that screen and I hear their little voices," the star told the outlet. "They're just everything to me. They're my engine and the reason why I'm alive. So having them every night on stage, it's just such a precious moment." She told the outlet that they have "mixed emotions" about it, saying that they get "stressed out" for her. "When I have a show, they're kind of stressed out because they want everything to come out perfect for me," she said. "They're always worried, like, 'Mom, how did it go? Did you fall? Are you okay?' And I try to show them that there's no perfect show. It's okay to make a mistake." Shakira told PEOPLE in 2015 that parenting is the hardest thing she's ever had to do. "It's one of the most difficult things I've done in my life," she said. "I've been on the most challenging stages performing in front of really demanding audiences and I've been meeting with world leaders who sometimes make you a little bit apprehensive, but nothing has made me so self-conscious as being a mom. … Every day I wonder if I'm doing the right thing. André 3000 Releases Instrumental Project ‘7 Piano Sketches'

André 3000 has released a collection of piano instrumental tracks entitled '7 Piano Sketches.' The musician released the project just before walking the carpet at the Met Gala with a full piano strapped to his back. '7 Piano Sketches' was partially composed and recorded before 2023's instrumental flute album 'New Blue Sun,' which went on to earn a nomination for album of the year at the 2025 Grammy Awards. André conceptualized the project almost a decade ago while staying with his son at a house in Texas that only had a piano, their beds and TV screens. Stream '7 Piano Sketches' here. In a statement accompanying the project, André said, 'The original title for it was 'The Best Worst Rap Album In History' and here is an excerpt from the original liner notes: 'It's jokingly the worst rap album in history because there are no lyrics on it at all. It's the best because it's the free-est emotionally and best I've felt personally. It's the best because it's like a palette cleanser for me.'' The release comes shortly after the news that Outkast, his duo alongside Big Boi, will be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame alongside Cyndi Lauper, White Stripes, Chubby Checker, Warren Zevon and more. André last released 'New Blue Sun' in Nov. 2023, a surprise to fans who were expecting another rap album from the musician. Speaking with Variety shortly after his Grammy nominations for the project, he explained that he followed his instincts to put the album together. 'I'm used to people feeling a way, but at the same time, it's just proof for me that I can only do what I'm into,' he said. 'I think that's why I'm here. I get up on trying to expand myself. I have to be fun and be into what I'm doing. That's it.' 'SNL': Musical guest Benson Boone shines with Quinta Brunson alongside Sabrina Carpenter's surprise cameo

Benson Boone made his Saturday Night Live debut on May 3, performing as musical guest during an episode hosted by Abbott Elementary creator and star Quinta Brunson. The Grammy-nominated singer took the stage twice, first performing his single "Sorry I'm Here for Someone Else" after an athletic flip from a piano, briefly serenading Brunson as she introduced him. The moment added a light-hearted interaction between host and guest, with Brunson offering a knowing glance before returning offstage. Hosting SNL for the second time, Brunson opened the episode with a musical monologue celebrating the highs of being short. Backed by dancers, she sang about humorous perks like getting 'wasted on one glass of wine' and wearing crop tops as dresses. Midway through, Sabrina Carpenter appeared to join the fun, delivering playful lines about life in a smaller frame, such as wondering if "short rib" just tastes like "rib" and whether "short stories" are just novels. Together, they celebrated celebrities known for their stature and achievements, including Simone Biles, Tom Holland, and Kendrick Lamar. While Carpenter did not perform musically, both she and Boone were recently nominated for Best New Artist at the 2025 Grammy Awards, though Chappell Roan ultimately claimed the prize. Boone's SNL appearance follows his standout Coachella debut in April, where he performed Queen's "Bohemian Rhapsody" alongside Brian May. He is also set to release his second studio album, American Heart, on June 20.
