Lamar Jackson lands behind Mahomes, Josh Allen, and Joe Burrow in ESPN's QB rankings

Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson lands behind Patrick Mahomes, Josh Allen, and Joe Burrow in ESPN's 2025 QB Rankings Life is all about perspective, and depending on your outlook, Lamar Jackson is either the most dynamic quarterback in the NFL or an elite, yet underachieving player who has won multiple MVP awards but has yet to reach a Super Bowl. Training camps are just hours away from opening up, and that means the finale of positional rankings for different platforms covering the NFL. ESPN's Jeremy Fowler does a remarkable job of polling coaches, executives, and scouts each summer, gathering insight and opinions on the top ten players at every position. Baltimore was well represented at multiple positions, including quarterback, where Jackson made the list but landed behind several players deemed more accomplished. Jackson lands behind Patrick Mahomes, Josh Allen, and Joe Burrow, coming in at No. 4 for the second straight summer. "A 10-1 touchdown-to-interception ratio [10.3], winning percentage is insane [74.4%] and he's a leading rusher on any team he's on," a veteran NFL coach said. "He's one of a kind." "Best space runner in the NFL, and he's such a good passer now," an NFL defensive coordinator said. "He probably doesn't get enough credit for how he's improved there." Last season, Jackson led the NFL in passer rating (119.6) while becoming the first quarterback in league history with at least 4,000 passing yards and 800 rushing yards after he posted 4,172 yards through the air and 915 yards on the ground. Teaming with Derrick Henry and surrounded by dynamic skill position players, the Ravens had a historic 2024 season offensively, becoming the first in NFL history to achieve both 40 passing and 20 rushing touchdowns, along with 4,000 passing yards and 3,000 rushing yards.
