Pair of Spartans heading to USA Hockey's 2025 World Junior Showcase later this month
A pair of Michigan State Spartans will be heading to Minneapolis to participate in the 2025 World Junior Showcase.
USA Hockey has announced the official list of 42 players invited to the upcoming 2025 World Junior Summer Showcase set to take place later this month, and a pair of Spartans cracked the list. Forwards Ryker Lee and Shane Vansaghi were the two Spartans invited to the notable USA Hockey event.
Lee was selected by the Nashville Predators with the No. 25 overall pick in the 2025 NHL Entry Draft last month. He will be joining the Spartans this upcoming season after playing for the Madison Capitals of the USHL last year.
Vansaghi will be entering his sophomore season with the Spartans next year, appearing in 37 games for the Spartans during his freshman campaign this past season. He tallied six goals and recorded 10 assists this past season, and was selected by the Philadelphia Flyers with the No. 48 overall pick in last month's NHL Entry Draft.
