Stumbling man charged with impaired driving, cocaine possession in Essa Township
A Brampton man reportedly spotted stumbling and unable to stand after getting out of his vehicle in Essa Township was arrested early Tuesday afternoon. Nottawasaga OPP says witnesses reported seeing the 38-year-old man exhibiting impaired behaviour in a parking lot near Young Street around noon. Officers located the vehicle and police say after they spoke with the driver, they placed him under arrest for impaired driving. He was also charged with possession of cocaine. Police urge the public to report suspected impaired drivers by calling 911. The accused in this case was handed an August court date to answer to the charges, plus a licence suspension and vehicle impoundment.

Hamilton man charged with sexual assault of 13-year-old Guelph girl
A Hamilton man is facing charges after police say he engaged in an inappropriate relationship with a 13-year-old girl. According to the Guelph Police Service, the teen began communicating with the 38-year-old through Snapchat in February. 'He began pressuring her for an intimate relationship, despite knowing her age,' they said in a media release. Shortly after they began messaging, police said the man picked up the teen and another young girl and brought them to Hamilton. 'While the three were in a grassy area the man touched the 13-year-old inappropriately,' the release continued. The incident was later reported to Guelph Police. The man was arrested on Thursday and charged with luring a person under 16 years of age, sexual assault, sexual interference and criminal harassment.

Man charged after train collision
A man has been charged after colliding with a train in Blandford-Blenheim Township on June 7. At approximately 5:30 a.m., police responded to a collision involving a car and a train. The driver of the vehicle, a 38-year-old male was charged with dangerous operation and operation while impaired. He was taken to the hospital with minor injuries and has been released from custody. The accused is scheduled to appear in court in Woodstock on July 15.
