‘Pakistan fully backs Kuwait's efforts for regional stability'
KUWAIT CITY, June 25: Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan to Kuwait Dr. Zafar Iqbal has affirmed the strength of bilateral relations between Pakistan and Kuwait as well as the depth of historical, social and economic ties that bind the two countries, indicating these relations are based on mutual respect and a shared vision for a future of peace and prosperity. This came in a speech that the Ambassador delivered Thursday night at a celebration organized by the Pakistani Embassy on the occasion of the 85th National Day of Pakistan. Present at the event were Minister of Commerce and Industry Khalifa Al-Ajeel, and many ambassadors and representatives of the diplomatic corps. Iqbal pointed out that the skilled Pakistani workforce in Kuwait, particularly in the construction and services sectors, is regarded as a vital bridge between the two countries and contributes significantly to supporting the Kuwaiti economy. He confirmed his country's aspiration for a broader Kuwaiti partnership in the national development process of Pakistan. He expressed his gratitude to His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, as well as the government and people of Kuwait, for their generosity, hospitality, and continuous support for the Pakistani community. He also praised the role of the Kuwaiti Ministry of Foreign Affairs, especially the Department of Asian Affairs, in strengthening bilateral relations. Regarding regional affairs, he expressed his country's concern about the current situation, while appreciating the balanced and supportive positions of Kuwait towards peaceful solutions. He added that Pakistan reaffirms its full support for the efforts of Kuwait to maintain regional security and stability. On Pakistan's National Day, he stated that it is an occasion to celebrate the national identity and commemorate the historic Lahore Resolution of 1940, which paved the way for the establishment of a State where Muslims in the subcontinent could live in dignity and freedom. He said the occasion is considered an opportunity to express appreciation for the longstanding relations between Pakistan and Kuwait, which are getting stronger day by day through close cooperation in the fields of trade, investment, energy, infrastructure, information technology, and tourism. He then expressed his concern over the ongoing Israeli aggression on Gaza, which has resulted in heavy losses of innocent civilian lives. 'Pakistan calls for an immediate and unconditional ceasefire, and reaffirms its unwavering support for the establishment of an independent Palestinian State on the pre-1967 borders, with Al-Quds Al-Sharif as its capital,' he asserted. In conclusion, he praised the contributions of the Pakistani community in Kuwait, considering them a source of pride for both countries. He also called for continuous joint work toward a more just, peacefu,l and dignified world.

Embassy of Pakistan hosts Reception to Commemorate 85th National Day of Pakistan
Rana Atef Embassy of Pakistan Cairo organized a reception in a hotel to commemorate the 85th National Day of Pakistan. H.E. Engineer Mohamed Shimi, Minister of Public Business Sector of Egypt, graced the occasion as the chief guest. Addressing the Reception, Ambassador Aamir Shouket paid glowing tributes to the countless sacrifices of the founding fathers to realize the dream of Pakistan under the exemplary leadership of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah. The Ambassador stated that Pakistan, being the fifth most populous country, is strategically placed to serve as connectivity hub, conduit for energy, economic and maritime gateway for South Asia, Central Asia, Middle East and China. With a significant youth bulge, cost effective workforce and tremendous natural resources, Pakistan is an ideal destination for trade and investment, the Ambassador added. Ambassador Aamir Shouket stated that the current government has taken practical measures for macroeconomic stability, ease of doing business and reduction in inflation. He highlighted the role of Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC) towards investment facilitation for foreign investors in key sectors. The Ambassador further added that liberalised visa regime is attracting more tourists to visit Pakistan than before. Appreciating the deep-rooted fraternal ties between Pakistan and Egypt, Ambassador Aamir Shouket noted with satisfaction the recent high level exchanges between the leadership of the two brotherly countries to further strengthen bilateral political, economic, defence, cultural, health, and educational cooperation. Chief Guest for the occasion, H.E. Engineer Mohamed Shimi congratulated the government and people of Pakistan on celebrating 85th National Day. He reiterated commitment of the leadership of Egypt to enhance the bilateral cooperation. During the event, students of Pakistan International School Cairo presented a cultural performance showcasing art and culture of all the federating units of Pakistan. A cake cutting ceremony was held to celebrate the occasion. A corner, projecting arts, crafts and cultural heritage and export potential of Pakistan, attracted the attention of the diginitaries and guests. Earlier, the Chamberlain of the Egyptian Presidency also delivered a congratulatory message from H.E. Mr. Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Arab Republic of Egypt. Pakistan Embassy marks 85th National Day
KUWAIT CITY, March 24: A flag hoisting ceremony was organized at the Embassy on the occasion of 85th National Day of Pakistan. Ambassador Dr. Zafar Iqbal hoisted the Pakistan national flag in the presence of a large gathering of Pakistani community members from all walks of life. During the ceremony, special messages from the President, Prime Minister, and the Deputy Prime Minister/Foreign Minister of Pakistan were read out. In their messages, the leadership paid homage to the commitment and sacrifices made by the father of the nation Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, and his companions, who worked tirelessly towards transforming Allama Muhammad Iqbal's dream into reality. The leadership affirmed steadfast support for the people of Jammu & Kashmir and Palestine, who continue their struggle for self-determination. Pakistan urges the international community to take immediate and decisive steps to ensure the implementation of United Nations Security Council resolutions, allowing the people of Jammu & Kashmir and Palestine to decide their future. The leadership also paid homage to our armed forces and law enforcement agencies who have made immense sacrifices to protect our homeland, and we salute their bravery and dedication. In his remarks, Ambassador Dr. Zafar Iqbal highlighted the significance of the National Day of Pakistan. He also paid tribute to our forefathers, whose sacrifices led to the creation of a separate homeland for the Muslims of the Subcontinent.

Ahmed Emam Embassy of Pakistan Cairo Commemorated 85th National Day of Pakistan with traditional zeal and fervour today. To mark the Day, Charge d' Affaires Dr. Raza Shahid hoisted the National Flag to the tune of National Anthem. Additionally, prayers were offered for the well-being, peace and prosperity of Pakistan. Messages from the President, the Prime Minister and DPM / Foreign Minister were read out on the occasion. The event featured appearances by high ranking figures from Embassy of Pakistan Cairo and members of Pakistan community in Egypt attended the Flag Hoisting Ceremony.
