Former Googlebox star Isabelle Silbery has shared the sad news that her grandmother, Emmie, has passed away at the age of 96. The beloved TV personality appeared on the popular show with her family, becoming the oldest woman on TV and winning hearts all over the country. Isabelle delivered the news via Instagram, reflecting on her grandmother's achievements. She also shared a snap of Emmie, alongside a heartfelt caption. "Our Emmie, waited for me to come home for one last snuggle," she wrote. "Her last words ', I'm ready to hang up now' 💔❤️. "She was 96, an orphan, a nurse, a wife, a mother, a grandmother, the oldest woman on TV, a great-grandmother, an author, and so much more. Thank you for loving her as much as we did and will forever. Have a big rest now- you deserve it. "Happy 96th Birthday to our Queen 👑🍾❤️," the post was captioned. Emmie, her daughter Kerry and granddaughter Isabelle first appeared on Gogglebox in 2015 and quickly became fan favourites. In 2022, the family announced that Emmie would no longer be part of the cast due to receiving a dementia diagnosis. Kerry and Isabelle were then let go from the series in 2024 after it was dropped by Foxtel, with Isabelle calling the move a "shock."
