Do the Boston Celtics have a front court problem?

After losing Luke Kornet, Kristaps Porzingis and potentially Al Horford this summer, the Boston Celtics front court has suffered a significant talent drain. Brad Stevens has tried to stem some of the bleeding by bringing in Luka Garza in free agency, although there's currently no guarantee he will successfully plug some of the gap left behind. Overall, the Celtics front-court rotation looks like the biggest weak point in the team's roster construction. Without Jayson Tatum, who is currently out with an Achilles tendon injury, the Celtics lack high-level talent and reliable depth at the four and the five. During a recent appearance on "98.5 The Sports Hub," The Athletic's Jay King sounded the alarm over Boston's limited front-court depth, noting that it has the potential to be "really bad." Of course, with months left until the start of the new NBA season, things could look different by opening night. Nevertheless, as currently constructed, the Celtics can't be expected to make a deep postseason run unless Mazzulla finds a way of getting the best out of his makeshift roster. Patriots QB Drake Maye and his wife reportedly donated wedding gifts to those in need

While discussing Maye's offseason workouts with his Patriots teammates, 98.5 The Sports Hub radio host and Patriots radio analyst Scott Zolak shared a story of how the newlyweds made a special gesture to their local community after their wedding. 'So the wedding gifts,' Zolak said on Tuesday during the latest taping of 'Zolak & Bertrand.' 'He didn't tell anybody, and he had this supposed deal with his wife. … They did a lot of donating with the local kids shelters and stuff for the area he grew up in and some kids didn't have [the right] size shoes, didn't have some Christmas stuff. Advertisement 'They didn't tell anybody, but they took their wedding gifts and sent them to the homeless and help centers down there. Everything that they got, they forwarded it. They got no wedding gifts, didn't receive any.' It was a great gesture from both Drake and Ann Michael — who met and began dating at the age of 12, according Since last month's festivities, Maye has wasted no time getting up to speed ahead of his second season with the Patriots. Even with training camp still a few weeks away in Foxborough, Maye and several Patriots offensive players have taken part in organized workouts over the last week. Stefon Diggs, Joshua Dobbs, Rhamondre Stevenson, Hunter Henry, Kendrick Bourne, DeMario Douglas, Ja'Lynn Polk, and rookie Kyle Williams have all taken part in the sessions with Maye. Drake Maye and his wife's kind gesture for their wedding leaves a mark with fans

Drake Maye and Ann Michael went for a thoughtful gesture for their wedding. Source: X A few weeks ago, New England Patriots quarterback Drake Maye married his longtime girlfriend, Ann Michael, and the couple decided to mark their milestone with an act of giving. Scott Zolak revealed on 98.5 The Sports Hub's Zolak & Bertrand that Drake and Ann Michael donated all of their wedding gifts to homeless shelters in North Carolina. Patriots QB Drake Maye and wife Ann Michael opt for charity to mark their wedding 'So the wedding gifts,' Zolak said. 'He didn't tell anybody, and he had this supposed deal with his current wife that five years ago, he said if I ever made it big—they did a lot of donating with the local kids shelters and stuff from the area he grew up, and some kids didn't have [the right] size shoes, didn't have some Christmas stuff. They didn't tell anybody, but they took their wedding gifts and sent them to the homeless and help centres down there. Everything they got, they forwarded it.' Many couples decide to donate to charity on or before their wedding; however, during a time when celebrity weddings are all about flashy celebrations and VIP guests, Drake and Ann Michael's gesture impressed fans. The 22-year-old Patriots quarterback completed 66.6% of his passes for 2,276 yards and 15 touchdowns. Both he and Michael graduated from high school and then attended the University of North Carolina, where their relationship began in 2015. Maye was selected third overall in the 2024 NFL Draft by the Patriots. Drake proposed to Michael during a Mexico vacation in January, and reportedly missed new head coach Mike Vrabel's introductory press conference to propose! The Boston Celtics new ownership group is gutting a championship roster

The Boston Celtics new ownership group is gutting a championship roster to get under the second apron in order to avoid the penalties dictated by the collective bargaining agreement (CBA) that the Celtics were staring down. Is it fair to blame Bill Chisholm and company for cheaping out at the worst possible time, or is there a case to be made that dodging not just the repeater tax but the team building restrictions was actually good business for all involved? Even if there is, that does not mean fans and analysts of the team are going to be excited to see a title contender take a step back. We can include among such persons some of the hosts of the "98.5 The Sports Hub" show "Toucher and Hardy" on a recent episode featuring guest Brian Robb of MassLive. Take a look at the clip embedded below to hear what they had to say about the role of the team's new ownership in taking the blame for what will likely be a big step back for Boston.

Why are the Boston Celtics interested in signing former Bucks guard Damian Lillard?

Why are the Boston Celtics interested in signing former Milwaukee Bucks floor general Damian Lillard? The Celtics are looking at a soft tank season while they wait for star forward Jayson Tatum to return to the court from an injured Achilles tendon, and will not likely be contending for titles by the end of the NBA's 2025-26 regular season. In fact, the Celtics are not even a lock to make the postseason as they scale back spending in light of Tatum's injury and the crushing weight of the second apron restrictions created by the collective bargaining agreement (CBA) to punish teams with expensive rosters. So why would Boston add ANOTHER player currently recovering from an Achilles tear who will be about 37 years old and an undersized guard with defensive weaknesses even before the injury? The folks behind the "98.5 The Sports Hub" YouTube channel put together a clip from their "Felger and Mazz" show to talk it all over. Check it out below to hear their thoughts on the interest in Dame.
