Tributes paid to Sinéad O'Connor on iconic singer's second anniversary
FANS OF LEGENDARY singer Sinéad O'Connor have been paying tribute to her online on the second anniversary of her death. Sinéad died unexpectedly at the age of 56 in London on 26 July 2023 . Her death shocked the world and led to an outpouring of love for one of Ireland's most internationally recognised and respected musicians. Leading tributes at the time, President Michael D Higgins said of Sinéad: 'To those of us who had the privilege of knowing her, one couldn't but always be struck by the depth of her fearless commitment to the important issues which she brought to public attention, no matter how uncomfortable those truths may have been.' Speaking on RTÉ Radio One's Oliver Callan show last week , Sineád's father Seán reflected on her life and shared how he cried for two weeks after she passed away. The 87-year-old said: 'I still miss her. 'Of course it's a comfort (the outpouring of grief by the public), but Sinéad had two personas. 'One was in the public arena and the other was with her family and I saw her funeral as being lovely for her fans. A SURGEON has warned Katie Price is 'dicing with death' as she undergoes 'riskiest surgery yet'. It comes as media personality Katie, 46, recently revealed her plans to have a fourth BBL surgery. 4 4 Standing for Brazilian Butt Lift, the procedure entails injecting fat from other parts of the body into the bottom to give a more rounded or lifted look. According to Dr Gerard Lambe, one of the UK's leading plastic surgeons and head of Reflect Clinic UK, the star has major factors to consider. Dr Lambe told New Magazine: 'Katie needs to be aware that she is putting her health and body under extreme pressure with the now countless number of procedures she's had done in the last year alone. "BBL is one of the most dangerous surgeries anyone can undergo and it has the highest mortality rate – it's one of Katie's riskiest surgeries yet. She is dicing with death." He added: "When injecting deeply, the fat can enter veins that are large and the fat can travel to the heart or lungs, and in severe cases this can be fatal. "It is also necessary to follow strict post-op protocols. "The human body needs long rest periods between any essential surgeries, never mind cosmetic ones. "She is putting her heart and organs under considerable pressure and not allowing the vital healing period between surgeries."
