Beloved Restaurant Chain Back After Almost Disappearing 3 Decades Ago
In its heyday, the Roy Rogers chain of restaurants had almost 600 locations across the U.S. Now the chain is regaining a foothold it once lost. Roy Rogers Restaurants "is officially opening its newest location in Cherry Hill, New Jersey, on June 25," a press release from the company says. "This restaurant is the chain's first return to the Southern New Jersey and Philadelphia markets since the 1990s, marking an exciting new era for the brand." The Roy Rogers chain of restaurants "were popular in the 1960s, '70s and '80s. There were many of these restaurants in the South Jersey area," the release, posted to Business Wire, says. "The first Roy Rogers opened in 1968 in Falls Church, Virginia. Decades ago there was one in Willingboro at the old Willingboro Plaza, which is now the Willingboro Town Center." The company added: "The chain, primarily located in the Northeast of the U.S., now has approximately 40 locations in five states, including 22 in Maryland and eight in Virginia, but at its height had more than 600 locations." ABC 6 reported that many customers regard the chain in a nostalgic sense. Some customers were so excited that they arrived shortly after midnight for the 10 a.m. opening, the television station reported. The chain advertised a "free food for a year deal" for the first 50 customers, ABC 6 reported. The winners will receive "one regular combo per week for a year in their mobile app," the television station reported. The new restaurant is located at 614 Haddonfield Road in Cherry Hill, NJ. 'The feedback from the Cherry Hill community since we announced this new restaurant has been overwhelmingly positive, and we have been working hard to make this opening a grand success,' said Jim Plamondon, co-president of Roy Rogers Restaurants, in the release. 'We are excited to make this long-anticipated return, and Cherry Hill allows us to serve a growing, diverse community and introduce a new generation to the quality and variety that makes Roy Rogers a cut above.'Beloved Restaurant Chain Back After Almost Disappearing 3 Decades Ago first appeared on Men's Journal on Jun 26, 2025

Videos: Iran's nuclear program set back ‘decades,' Trump says
President Donald Trump claimed on Wednesday that the U.S. military strikes against Iran's three nuclear facilities resulted in 'total obliteration' and set the country's nuclear program back by 'decades.' The president was asked by reporters at the NATO summit in the Netherlands on Wednesday regarding a Pentagon report leaked to the media, which suggested that the strikes by the U.S. military and Israel Defense Forces may have only delayed Iran's nuclear program by a few months. In response, Trump said, 'I believe it was total obliteration.' According to ABC 6, two people familiar with the Pentagon's report told the outlet that the report suggested the U.S. military's strikes only inflicted limited damage on Iran's nuclear facilities and that Iran relocated some of its uranium prior to the strikes. However, Trump told reporters Wednesday, 'I believe they didn't have a chance to get anything out, because we acted fast. If it would have taken two weeks, maybe. But it's very hard to remove that kind of material, very hard and very dangerous for them to remove it. Plus, they knew we were coming, and if they know we're coming, they're not going to be down there.' Q: " What's your reaction to the intelligence reports saying that the Iranian nuclear sites were only partially devastated?" Trump: "They don't know… I believe it was total obliteration." — The Bulwark (@BulwarkOnline) June 25, 2025 Trump indicated on Wednesday that the U.S. military strikes had set Iran's nuclear program back by 'basically decades' and suggested that he believed Iran would not try to rebuild the program. 'I think they've had it,' Trump said. 'I mean, they just went through hell.' 'It's gone for years, years, very tough to rebuild, because the whole thing is collapsed. In other words, inside, it's all collapsed,' Trump added. 'Nobody can get in to see it, because it's collapsed.' Trump says Israeli agents report Fordow is completely destroyed Trump administration denies intelligence assessment that U.S. strikes did not destroy the key components of the nuclear program, but only delayed it by a few months; "We set Iran back decades," the president said,… — Ynetnews (@ynetnews) June 25, 2025 According to ABC 6, in response to questions regarding the early U.S. intelligence reports on Wednesday, Trump emphasized that the reports were 'very inconclusive.' 'The intelligence says we don't know, it could have been very severe, that's what the intelligence says. So I guess that's correct, but I think we can take the 'we don't know,'' Trump told reporters. 'It was very severe. It was obliteration.' READ MORE: Video: VP Vance touts destruction of Iran's nuclear program, 'reset button' for peace According to Fox News, the Israel Atomic Energy Commission provided an assessment on Wednesday, noting that Iran's nuclear program had been set back by 'many years.' A statement from the commission that was provided by the White House said, 'The devastating U.S. strike on Fordow destroyed the site's critical infrastructure and rendered the enrichment facility inoperable.' 'We assess that the American strikes on Iran's nuclear facilities, combined with Israeli strikes on other elements of Iran's military nuclear program, has set back Iran's ability to develop nuclear weapons by many years,' the Israel Atomic Energy Commission added. 'This achievement can continue indefinitely if Iran does not get access to nuclear material.'

Who is Kyle Snyder? Olympic gold medalist arrested in prostitution sting
Olympic gold medalist and former pro wrestler Kyle Snyder was arrested in a prostitution sting operation. The Columbus Division of Police confirmed the news on Monday, revealing that the 29-year-old was among the 16 men charged during an undercover operation last week. The sting launched on Friday, May 9, was aimed at reducing prostitution in the city's north side. As part of the operation, the Columbus police posted ads for online escort services, according to ABC 6. Police spokesman Sgt. Joe Albert said in a statement that detectives 'published internet escort ads to solicit others to engage in sexual activity for hire.' Around 8:00 pm, officers began receiving 'texts and phone calls' from a man 'in response to one of the published ads,' the statement continued. 'Through a series of texts and/or phone calls, a date was set up at a nearby hotel,' it added, per the outlet. Once the date was set up, authorities found out that the individual in question turned out to be Snyder, a former Ohio State University wrestler. After reaching the hotel, he paid an undercover officer for a sex act. However, he was arrested by other officers inside the hotel room for engaging in prostitution. While he was released from custody at the scene, Snyder has been summoned to appear in court next Monday, May 19. However, from 2016 to 2018, he won three NCAA heavyweight championships for Ohio State and contributed to The Buckeyes' 2015 team title win. Snyder was inducted into the university's Ohio State Athletics Hall of Fame in 2024. Before that, he scored a gold medal at the 2016 Rio de Janeiro Olympic Games and a silver medal at the 2021 Summer Games held in Tokyo. Additionally, he finished fourth last year at the Paris Olympics.

Dave Portnoy Says ‘F–k ABC' After Local News Interview Goes Haywire
Barstool Sports boss Dave Portnoy on Monday morning ripped a 'media scumbag' at ABC's local Philadelphia station and ended an interview early after he said the reporter blamed his outlet for creating a 'culture of harassment.' The interview-gone-bad was set up after a 'F—k the Jews' sign was displayed at a bottle-service bar he owns in Philadelphia over the weekend; Portnoy was livid over the antisemitic stunt, saying on Sunday he was 'on a mission to ruin' the people behind it. In a video posted to X on Monday morning, Portnoy said ABC 6 'begged' him for an interview following the incident and that he agreed to do it because it is the local station. Portnoy said the interview started off well enough, even though ABC 6 pulled a 'bait and switch' on him — changing the reporter he was planning on speaking with at the last moment — before things went off the rails. The reporter, Portnoy said, then quoted a 'f–king liberal college professor' from the University of Virginia who blasted his sports-focused outlet for creating a toxic online environment. The 48-year-old then showed footage he had another Barstool employee film of his interview, showing him arguing with the reporter before ultimately slamming his laptop shut. 'I totally disagree with what you just said. Who's creating more hate right now in the world — are you saying Barstool and white men or college campuses?' he asked. 'Im a journalist, I'm asking you,' the unidentified female reporter said, after some back-and-forth. 'What does that mean? 'You're a journalist.' I'm a journalist. I run a big media organization,' Portnoy responded. 'Just answer the question,' the reporter told him. 'No. I just asked you a question. You answer the question,' Portnoy replied. 'You're not running this interview' the reporter responded. 'Alright then the interview is over,' Portnoy said before slamming his laptop screen down and then telling him employee who was filming the exchange, 'F–k ABC!' 'It makes me mad. I forgot how much I hate f–king journalist, this f–king piece of s–t.' ABC 6 did not immediately respond to TheWrap's request for comment. You can hear Portnoy's side of the story by watching his X video above. The post Dave Portnoy Says 'F–k ABC' After Local News Interview Goes Haywire | Video appeared first on TheWrap.

Reckless Ohio driver causes multi-vehicle crash by coming to full stop on busy interstate after missing exit — then flees
A reckless driver caused a three-vehicle crash on a busy Ohio interstate when they came to a dead stop after missing an exit and tried merging over during rush hour traffic. The Ohio Department of Transportation posted a jaw-dropping clip that shows a heavy flow of traffic on Interstate 71 moments before the wreck around 5:24 p.m. near downtown Columbus on April 30, The Columbus Dispatch reported. In the clip, a red minivan is seen crawling into the frame in the middle lane of the busy three-lane highway as other vehicles zip around it. Advertisement The driver of the van appeared to have missed the exit heading towards Dayton and decided to take a risk, coming to a full stop in hopes of cutting across two lanes of traffic. As the minivan came to a standstill, two other minivans were forced to abruptly stop behind the reckless driver as vehicles in both adjacent lanes continued to speed past them. Advertisement However, a large passenger van plowed into the back of the minivan, propelling it forward into the other, causing a multi-vehicle accident. The driver of the red van, who caused the wreck, then seizes the opportunity to cross over into the left lane and carelessly merge into the exit, driving off. The reckless driver of the red minivan has not been identified after fleeing from the scene, and no life-threatening injuries were reported, according to the outlet. In the clip, a red minivan is seen crawling into the frame in the middle lane of the busy three-lane highway as other vehicles zip around it. ABC 6 via Ohio Department of Transportation Advertisement 'When you are driving along a major interstate and you miss your exit do you: A) keep driving and get off at the next one or B) come to a complete stop, cause a multi-car rear-end crash and then drive away,' The Ohio Department of Transportation prompted its followers in its post. 'HINT: The answer is NEVER B. Do not be this driver.' Ohio Department of Transportation Press Secretary Matt Bruning told Fox 8 that the driver did the 'worst thing you can do on a highway' if they missed their exit. A large passenger van collided with the rear of the minivan, propelling it forward into the other vehicle, resulting in a multi-vehicle accident. ABC 6 via Ohio Department of Transportation Advertisement 'What this driver did is extremely dangerous and the absolute worst thing you could do,' he said. According to studies by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, around 94% of motor vehicle accidents are estimated to be caused by driver error. A nationwide study released by the personal finance website ValuePenguin in April — used data from the NHTSA, Fatality Analysis Reporting System (FARS), and the Fatality and Injury Reporting System Tool (FIRST) — found that reckless driving was responsible for 6.4% of motor vehicle deaths from 2018 to 2022, totaling more than 12,600 fatalities. In 2021, it led to more than 3,000 deaths, making up 7.1% of that year's motor vehicle deaths.
