Badr Al Samaa Group of Hospitals receive ACHSI certification
Badr Al Samaa Hospitals in Ruwi, Al Khoud, Barka, Sohar, Salalah, and Nizwa have successfully achieved accreditation from the prestigious Australian Council on Healthcare Standards International (ACHSI). Muscat – The official accreditation certificate handing over ceremony was recently conducted in Muscat. The Chief Guest of the event, H E Dr. Ahmed Salim Saif al Mandhari, Undersecretary for Planning and Health Organisation, MoH, and in the presence of the Guest of Honour, Dr. Qamra al Sariri, Director General Quality Assurance Centre, MoH, Managing Director of Badr Al Samaa, Abdul Latheef, Executive Directors of Badr Al Samaa Group of Hospitals, Moiden Bilal and Firasath Hassan, Dr. Said al Mughairi, Director of Quality Assurance and Patient Safety, Directorate General of Private Health Establishment, Regional Director of ACHSI Bassel el Sayegh presented the Quality Accreditation Certificates to branch heads of each of the accredited hospitals of Badr Al Samaa Group and the corporate certificates to its executive directors. Notably, all hospitals met 100% of the criteria outlined in the accreditation process, reflecting their unwavering commitment to excellence and patient safety & quality in healthcare. The ACHSI assessment survey lasted for 5 days and was conducted by 9 assessors from ACHSI. In his keynote speech, Abdul Latheef, Managing Director, Badr Al Samaa Group and Board Member of Oman Chamber of Commerce & Industry, said that the quality accreditation is not mandated or made compulsory in Oman but being the largest private healthcare group in Oman, Badr Al Samaa Group felt that that it is its responsibility to take such initiatives in the interest of the deserving patients and ensure the best quality and safe healthcare practices. Speaking on the occasion the chief guest, H E Dr. Ahmed Salim Saif al Mandhari, Undersecretary for Planning and Health Organisation, MoH, said, 'There are key success factors when we talk about excellence and getting the accreditations like Badr Al Samaa did is the good example of excellence'.
