Dubai Duty Free Posts Record-Breaking AED4.1 Billion in First-Half 2025 Sales
Dubai Duty Free has reported a record-breaking first-half performance for 2025, with sales climbing 5.34% year-on-year to AED4.118 billion (US$1.128 billion), surpassing its previous half-year record by over AED208 million.
The surge was driven by increased travel during the Eid holiday and early summer season, with April, May, and early June seeing particularly strong growth. Managing Director Ramesh Cidambi credited the performance to the strength of Dubai's global hub status and the team's operational efforts.
Perfumes remained the top-selling category, contributing 18% of total revenue at AED744.24 million. Liquor followed at AED513.37 million, while Cigarettes & Tobacco saw a 12.24% rise to AED439.91 million. Gold and Confectionery rounded out the top five, with the latter recording a standout 62.7% jump year-on-year.
Terminal 3 led the way with a 6.37% increase in sales, while Terminal 1 followed with 5.25% growth. Spending was up across all key passenger regions, particularly Europe, which saw a 16.89% boost.
Looking ahead, the company remains optimistic, with new luxury boutiques from Louis Vuitton, Chanel, and Cartier set to open in Terminal 3 Concourse A later this year.
