THREE Indian siblings from Selangor aged between four and 10 finally obtained their birth certificates and MyKid after a four-year effort by Hulu Selangor MIC, Makkal Osai reported.
Mohan and Letchumi from Kuala Kubu Baru have 10 children. Mohan is not working, and the family depends on Letchumi's meagre income.
The couple overlooked obtaining the documents for the three children, but eventually sought the help of local MIC leader Karuppiah and the district MIC chief Datuk K. Suresh.
Businessman and philanthropist Datuk PS Samy also helped the couple and the three kids financially to travel to the local National Registration Department office.
Selangor MIC chief Shankar Raj Iyengar handed over the birth certificates and MyKid to the three children and their parents during a simple ceremony at the annual general meeting of the state MIC.
Mohan and Letchumi thanked the leaders for their help in getting the documents sorted out.
