Fredericton police trying to identify ATV rider after dangerous driving incident
Police are asking for help identifying the suspect driving dangerously on an ATV in Fredericton. (Source: Fredericton Police Force) Fredericton police are asking for the public's help to identify the driver of an all-terrain vehicle they say was driving dangerously in the city last month. Police say they responded to reports of a large, dark-coloured ATV that was driving recklessly through downtown Fredericton on May 11. The ATV was seen driving through the Tannery, a pedestrian-only area, and travelling the wrong way on one-way streets. Police say the ATV rider ignored traffic laws and drove directly at a police vehicle before swerving away. 'This dangerous behavior posed a significant risk to public safety,' said the Fredericton Police Force in a Facebook post. The rider was wearing dark clothing and a dark helmet with yellow insignia. The Fredericton Police Force is asking anyone with information about the incident or who can identify the suspect to call 506-460-2300 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 to remain anonymous. Massachusetts trooper injured in Revere hit-and-run near Wonderland Station, I-Team sources say
A Massachusetts State Police trooper was taken to the hospital after being struck by either an ATV or a dirt bike in front of the state police barracks on Revere Beach Boulevard on Monday, according to I-Team sources. The trooper was hit by one or more ATVs or dirt bikes. At least one suspect fled the scene on foot, leaving the bike at Wonderland train station. MBTA Blue Line trains were delayed about 20 minutes due to police activity at the station. The trooper was injured and transferred to a local hospital. There is no word on his condition.
