Eluru SC Welfare officer urges students to link Aadhaar with bank accounts

District Scheduled Caste (SC) Welfare and Empowerment officer Y. Vishwamohan Reddy stated that financial assistance under the 'Thalliki Vandhanam' scheme will be credited to the bank accounts of eligible SC students studying in the first year of Intermediate (2025-26), on July 10. In a press release on Monday, he emphasised that in order to receive the benefit, the bank account must be in the student's name and linked with their Aadhaar number through the NPCI (National Payments Corporation of India) system. Students whose accounts are not yet linked to the Aadhaar are advised to immediately visit their respective banks and complete the process. The students without a bank account will not receive the benefit of the scheme. Therefore, such students must open a bank account today itself, preferably at a post office, and ensure it is linked with their Aadhaar through NPCI mapping. The 'Thalliki Vandhanam' scheme provides financial support to SC students pursuing Intermediate education, and the proper completion of Aadhaar-bank linkage is crucial to ensure timely disbursement.
