Texas A&M Football Has a Unanimous Prediction To Land Three-Star Offensive Lineman Aaron Thomas

Texas A&M Football Has a Unanimous Prediction To Land Three-Star Offensive Lineman Aaron Thomas originally appeared on Athlon Sports. Nothing is definite in recruitment, but Texas A&M football is trending in the right direction to land a three-star offensive lineman. After four-star Camren Hamiel announced his commitment on June 4, the Aggies have been a leader in picking up this second Arizona native. Advertisement College Station was last spot that the class of 2026 recruit had left to visit in June. Now with his decision date coming up quickly, Wednesday, June 25 at 6 p.m. EST will determine whether the Aggies stayed fresh in his mind enough to take his talents to Texas A&M. Aaron Thomas is the No. 439 overall recruit and No. 36 offensive tackle in the country from his class, according to 247Sports. He's also listed as the No. 5 recruit out of Arizona. Texas A&M football head coach Mike Lysaker-Imagn Images Head coach Mike Elko's biggest competition for Thomas is Ohio State. Both schools are ranked at the top of Thomas' four-team list. Behind the Aggies and Buckeyes are Florida State and Washington who have potential to land the recruit. In his announcement post on X, he also grouped Texas into the mix, though the Longhorns don't seem to have solid traction with the offensive tackle. Crystal Ball® Predictions are suggesting that Texas A&M has a 100 percent chance to reel in the offensive lineman. Elko currently has four-star interior offensive lineman Samuel Roseborough committed, meaning Thomas would have more room to work with within the position. Ohio State and Washington both have two tackles on their class of 2026 roster. Advertisement Florida State, though, not only has a clean slate in the position like Texas A&M but also a family connection. According to Texas A&M Aggies on SI, Thomas' father, Eric, played for the Seminole's offensive line. Even though Florida State isn't currently projected to be a top two team in the rising senior's mind, things can flip at any moment right down to the last second. Texas A&M Football Misses Out on Two Linemen Drew Evers and Aaron Thomas One Day After Major Success

Texas A&M Football Misses Out on Two Linemen Drew Evers and Aaron Thomas One Day After Major Success originally appeared on Athlon Sports. Texas A&M football picked up a pair of offensive tackles on Wednesday, June 25, four-star Zaden Krempin and three-star Avery Morcho. The No. 2 2026 recruitment class in the nation, though, couldn't hang on to its second potential lineman duo on June 26. Advertisement On Thursday, Ohio State and SMU got the edge over the Aggies Texas A&M football head coach Mike Elko.© Kirby Lee-Imagn Images Drew Evers, a four-star offensive tackle from Flower Mound, Tex., announced his verbal commitment to SMU. The class of 2026 student-athlete is No. 208 overall and listed as the No. 14 interior offensive lineman despite being recruited as a tackle. He's also ranked No. 27 out of Texas. "214 . . . I'm staying home. Let's work #PonyUp," he wrote, according to On3's Hayes Fawcett. Another offensive tackle, Aaron Thomas, also veered away from the Aggies and decided that Ohio State would be his NCAA home. Thomas is a three-star recruit from Phoenix, Ariz. and is ranked No. 439 overall. He's also the No. 36 overall tackle and No. 5 athlete from his state. Advertisement Greg Biggins wrote in his scouting report: "He's a fluid mover, a natural athlete and looks to have all the physical traits to play offensive tackle at the college level. He's a reactionary athlete with good feet and balance. He's still raw in some areas, plays high at times and doesn't always use his length but we like the natural aggressiveness and finishing ability he flashes." Thomas was originally favored unanimously to choose the Aggies, but the Buckeyes were always their biggest competition. At some point, Florida State was a top consideration as well given his father was an offensive lineman for the Seminoles. The two recruits opting to take their talents elsewhere isn't heartbreaking for Texas A&M, though. After landing Krempin and Morcho, Elko's in a decent spot going further as recruits roll out their commitments. 2026 4-star OT commits to SMU over Texas A&M

Texas A&M's offensive line future looks set after coach Mike Elko and O-line coach Adam Cushing signed six offensive linemen in the 2025 recruiting class, while the success continued into the 2026 cycle, as four-star tackles Samuel Roseborough, Avery Morcho, and Zaden Krempin committed to the Aggies over the last week. Still, you can't win them all, leading to Thursday's news that 2026 four-star offensive tackle Drew Evers, who is coming off his official visit to Texas A&M, committed to SMU over the Aggies, Ohio State, Penn State, and LUS which followed Wednesday night's news that rising 2026 three-star OT Aaron Thomas committed to Ohio State over Texas A&M and Florida State. Why did Evers choose SMU? The Flower Mound, Texas native, like Aaron Thomas, was likely impacted by Krempin's surprise commitment on Wednesday. As SMU's 2025 starting tackles are both redshirt seniors, this is good news for Evers, who is poised to see the field by his second collegiate season. For the Aggies, there is still a chance Evers changes his mind before Early Signing Day on December 4, It looks like Evers is all in on playing for the Mustangs, especially knowing that Flower Mound is just one hour away from the SMU campus. At Flower Mound High School, Evers has been the starting right tackle throughout his career, and is already a developed run blocker, while his pass blocking skill set still needs refinement. According to 247Sports, Evers is currently positioned as the 28th-ranked interior offensive lineman and the 51st-ranked prospect in Texas. Texas A&M is predicted to land rising 2026 3-star offensive tackle

Texas A&M hosted 10 prospects in the 2026 recruiting class this weekend, including rising three-star offensive tackle Aaron Thomas, who took his official visit with the Aggies ahead of his commitment announcement on Wednesday, June 25. Thomas will likely finish the year as a four-star recruit, and A&M is currently battling Ohio State and Florida State during the final stretch. However, coach Mike Elko and O-line coach Adam Cushing are likely on the precipice of earning the program's 20th commitment in the 2026 class, as Thomas is now predicted to land with Texas A&M after his OV, which is his final visit of the summer. Predictions have been kind to the Aggies as of late after landing commitments from five-star cornerback Brandon Arrington and five-star edge Tristian Givens over the past three days. Elko and his staff have built an elite foundation built on relationships, trust, and a plan for each player's future development at the next level. For Thomas, working under Cushing could do wonders for his career, as his 6-7, 300-pound frame, coupled with his fluid footwork, makes him a future starting tackle in the making. If the Aggies land Thomas, he would join four-star offensive lineman Samuel Roseborough as the second O-line commit, and likely won't be the last, as three-star offensive tackle Avery Morcho, who took his official visit to Texas A&M on June 13. According to 247Sports, Thomas is currently positioned as the 50th-ranked tackle and the 8th-ranked prospect in Arizona.
