Devotees arrive in large numbers at Indrakeeladri for Asadha saare offering

Devotees in large groups arrived at the abode of goddess Kanaka Durga Indrakeeladri on Tuesday as part of the Aasadha saare tradition. They made their way towards Mallikarjuna Maha Mandapam carrying offerings to the deity, including silk robes and sarees, savouries, sweets, amid traditional beats while raising slogans like 'Jai Durga Bhavani, Jai Jai Durga Bhavani'. To facilitate a smooth darshan, temple Executive Officer V.K. Sheena Naik directed the staff to arrange special queue lines and ensure proper crowd movement. He instructed the officials from the Annadanam, festival, and puja departments to ensure timely provision of annaprasadam to the devotees. Meanwhile, newly-appointed BJP State unit president Pokala Vamsi Nagendra Madhav, along with his spouse, visited the Kanaka Durga temple and paid obeisance to the goddess. Temple's Assistant Executive Officer Ramesh welcomed the couple and presented them a portrait of the goddess and prasadam.
